The Kayu Ara LRT station is a light rapid transit (LRT) station that serves the suburb of Damansara Utama and Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara in Petaling Jaya Selangor, Malaysia. It will be one of the stations on the Shah Alam line. The station is located right next the Kayu Ara River. The station is an elevated rapid transit station in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, forming part of the Klang Valley Integrated Transit System.The station is marked as Station No. 2 along with the RM9 billion line project with the line's maintenance depot located in Johan Setia, Klang. The Kayu Ara LRT station was expected to be operational in February 2024, but Transport Minister Anthony Loke mentioned that the overall line would be expected to be operational by 1st March 2025 adding more delays to the opening of the Shah Alam Line. It will have facilities such as multi-story park and ride, kiosks, restrooms, elevators, taxi stand, and feeder bus among others.

The Al Mujaheddin Mosque (Malay: Masjid Al Mujaheddin) is a mosque in Damansara Utama, Selangor, Malaysia. Located near the roundabout of Damansara Utama where Damansara Uptown is, the Al Mujaheddin Mosque is more than just a place of worship. In the compound, there is an Islamic school going by the name SRA Al-Mujahiddeen. SRA stands for Sekolah Agama Rakyat or People's Religious School. It is where some Muslim residents send their children to get in-depth teachings on Islamic faith.

The Atria, originally called the Gardenia Town Centre for a brief period of time, is a shopping mall located in the centre of this commercial area. Damansara Jaya is also home to KDU College (previously known as Kolej Damansara Utama) and SMK Damansara Jaya, a government co-educational secondary school.

It is the largest shopping mall in Malaysia and the seventh-largest shopping mall in the world. The first phase of the mall, now known as the "Old Wing", was opened in September 1995. With the increase in customer traffic and demand for retail spaces inside the mall, a second phase called "New Wing" was added in 2003. An additional expansion of 592,015 square feet (55,000.0 m2) was added in 2018 with the addition of 1 Utama E. Today the mall houses multiple retail areas, restaurants, cafes, sports facilities, a rainforest, and a bus station with national and international services. Current anchor tenants of the mall include; AEON Department Store and Supermarket, Jaya Grocer, and department store Parkson. The mall formerly housed Singaporean department store Tangs, Japanese department store Isetan, and the first IKEA store in Malaysia in 1996. The mall has received several awards including Gold in EdgeProp Malaysia's Best Managed Property Awards 2019 (retail category) and the Platinum Award for Shopping Complex of the Year in the Retail World Excellence Awards 2006/07 edition.

The Bandar Utama station is a mass rapid transit (MRT) station serving the suburb of Bandar Utama in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia as well as parts of Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur which lie across the Damansara–Puchong Expressway from the station. It is one of the stations on the Sungai Buloh-Kajang Line. It was opened on 16 December 2016.This station is located next to the 1 Utama Shopping Centre, one of the biggest shopping malls in the Klang Valley. Other well-known landmarks near the station are Sri Pentas (headquarters of terrestrial TV channels owned by Media Prima), the One World Hotel, Plaza IBM and KPMG Tower, which are linked to the station via a pedestrian link-bridge. This station will serve as an interchange station with the future Shah Alam Line, a light rapid transit (LRT) station currently under construction which will link Bandar Utama with Johan Setia in Klang.
