Zgoń

Królówka (German: Kralowka) is a sołectwo in the south of Orzesze, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It was an independent village but was, as a part of gmina Gardawice, administratively merged into Orzesze in 1975. It has an area of 5.6 km² and about 260 inhabitants.

Gardawice (German: Gardawitz) is a dzielnica in of Orzesze, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It was an independent village and in the years 1945-1954 and 1973-1975 it was seat of gmina, which was administratively merged into Orzesze in 1975. It has an area of 7.7 km² and about 1940 inhabitants.

Łaziska Power Station (Polish: Elektrownia Łaziska) is a thermal power station in Łaziska Górne, Poland. The first Łaziska Power Station was inaugurated in 1917. In 1929, an 87.1 MW unit was inaugurated making it to the largest power station in Poland at those days.

Branica is a hamlet of the Suszec village in Poland, located by the provincial road No. 935 in the Silesian Voivodeship, in the Pszczyna County, in the Gmina Suszec.In 1975–1998, the hamlet administratively belonged to the Katowice Voivodeship. The followers of the Roman Catholic Church belong to the parish of St. Stanisław Bishop and Martyr (pol. Św. Stanisława Biskupa i Męczennika) in Suszec. There is also a primary school named after Janusz Korczak.

Gmina Suszec is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Suszec, which lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-west of Pszczyna and 28 km (17 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. The gmina covers an area of 75.63 square kilometres (29.2 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 12,331. The gmina contains part of the protected area called Rudy Landscape Park.

Gostyń [ˈɡɔstɨɲ] (German Gostin) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Wyry, within Mikołów County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-west of Wyry, 8 km (5 mi) south of Mikołów, and 19 km (12 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of 3,400.

Suszec [ˈsuʂɛt͡s] (German Sussetz) is a village in Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Suszec. It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) north-west of Pszczyna and 28 km (17 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. In the area of the village there is the Parish of St. Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr and Krupiński Coal Mine. In 2004. Suszec won the first edition of the competition "Beautiful Village of Silesian Voivodeship" in the category "most beautiful village".

Zawiść (German: Zawisc) is a sołectwo in the east of Orzesze, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It was an independent village but as a part of gmina Gardawice was administratively merged into Orzesze in 1975. It has an area of 6.6 km² and about 1,933 inhabitants.

The Krupiński coal mine is a large mine in the south of Poland in Suszec, Silesian Voivodeship, 448 km south-west of the capital, Warsaw. Krupiński represents one of the largest coal reserve in Poland having estimated reserves of 34.8 million tonnes of coal. The annual coal production is around 3 million tonnes. The mine is based in Suszec, the deposits of which are located in the commune of Suszec, Żory and Orzesze in the Silesian Voivodeship. Employment at the end of 2011 amounted to 2819 employees. March 31, 2017 production in the mine was shut down and the plant was transferred to the Spółka Restrukturyzacji Kopalń in Bytom. This company is liquidating and managing the assets of liquidated mines.

The Bolesław Śmiały coal mine is a large mine in the south of Poland in Łaziska Górne, Silesian Voivodeship, 172 km south-west of the capital, Warsaw. Bolesław Śmiały represents one of the largest coal reserve in Poland having estimated reserves of 50 million tonnes of coal. The annual coal production is around 2.13 million tonnes.

Rudziczka [ruˈd͡ʑit͡ʂka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Suszec, within Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Suszec, 16 km (10 mi) north-west of Pszczyna, and 28 km (17 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice.

Łaziska Górne [waˈʑiska ˈɡurnɛ] (German: Ober Lazisk, Silesian: Gōrne Łaziska) is a town in Silesia in southern Poland, near Katowice. Borders on the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union – metropolis with the population of 2 million. Located in the Silesian Highlands. It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously in Katowice Voivodeship, and before then, of the Autonomous Silesian Voivodeship. Łaziska is one of the towns of the 2,7 million conurbation - Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the town is 22,298 (2019).
