Gardawice

Zawiść (German: Zawisc) is a sołectwo in the east of Orzesze, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland. It was an independent village but as a part of gmina Gardawice was administratively merged into Orzesze in 1975. It has an area of 6.6 km² and about 1,933 inhabitants.

Palowice [palɔˈvit͡sɛ] (German Pallowitz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czerwionka-Leszczyny, within Rybnik County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) south-east of Czerwionka-Leszczyny, 15 km (9 mi) east of Rybnik, and 24 km (15 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of 1,394.

Orzesze [ɔˈʐɛʂɛ] (German: Orzesche, Silesian: Ôrzeszŏ) is a town in Silesia in southern Poland, near Katowice. Borders on the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union – metropolis with the population of 2 million. Located in the Silesian Highlands. It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship since its formation in 1999, previously in Katowice Voivodeship, and before then, of the Autonomous Silesian Voivodeship. Orzesze is one of the towns of the 2.7 million conurbation – Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the town is 21,043 (2019).

Łaziska Power Station (Polish: Elektrownia Łaziska) is a thermal power station in Łaziska Górne, Poland. The first Łaziska Power Station was inaugurated in 1917. In 1929, an 87.1 MW unit was inaugurated making it to the largest power station in Poland at those days.

The Krupiński coal mine is a large mine in the south of Poland in Suszec, Silesian Voivodeship, 448 km south-west of the capital, Warsaw. Krupiński represents one of the largest coal reserve in Poland having estimated reserves of 34.8 million tonnes of coal. The annual coal production is around 3 million tonnes. The mine is based in Suszec, the deposits of which are located in the commune of Suszec, Żory and Orzesze in the Silesian Voivodeship. Employment at the end of 2011 amounted to 2819 employees. March 31, 2017 production in the mine was shut down and the plant was transferred to the Spółka Restrukturyzacji Kopalń in Bytom. This company is liquidating and managing the assets of liquidated mines.

Rudziczka [ruˈd͡ʑit͡ʂka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Suszec, within Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Suszec, 16 km (10 mi) north-west of Pszczyna, and 28 km (17 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice.

Stary Suszec [ˈstarɨ ˈsuʂɛt͡s] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Suszec, within Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Suszec, 16 km (10 mi) north-west of Pszczyna, and 29 km (18 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice.

Budryk represents one of the largest coal reserve in Poland having estimated reserves of 235.5 million tonnes of coal. The annual coal production is around 5 million tonnes.
