Saint-Bernard (), also known as Saint-Bernard-du-Touvet (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ bɛʁnaʁ dy tuvɛ]), is a former commune in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. On 2019, it had a population of 639. On 1 January 2019, Saint-Bernard was merged into the new commune of Plateau-des-Petites-Roches alongside Saint-Hilaire and Saint-Pancrasse.

Saint-Hilaire (), also known as Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃t‿ilɛːʁ dy tuvɛ]), is a former commune in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. On 1 January 2019, Saint-Hilaire was merged into the new commune of Plateau-des-Petites-Roches, alongside Saint-Bernard and Saint-Pancrasse. The commune was made up of the three smaller settlements of Saint-Hilaire, Les Margains and Les Gaudes; its town hall became that of the new commune. Its inhabitants are known in French as the Saint-Hilairois (masculine) and Saint-Hilairoises (feminine).It is situated on the Plateau des Petites Roches, a natural balcony above the valley of the Isère, on the east side of the Massif de la Chartreuse and overlooked by the peak of the Dent de Crolles.

Plateau-des-Petites-Roches (French pronunciation: [plato de pətit ʁɔʃ]) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. It was established on 1 January 2019 by merger of the former communes of Saint-Hilaire (the seat), Saint-Bernard and Saint-Pancrasse.

The Dent de Crolles (French pronunciation: [dɑ̃ də kʁɔl]) is a karstic mountain (2,062 m) of the Chartreuse Mountains range, 17 kilometres (11 miles) north east of Grenoble, Isère, France. It has a characteristic "tooth-like" profile and is easily recognizable in the Isère Valley (Grésivaudan) in the Grenoble area. The French word "dent" means tooth and "de Crolles" is derived from the town of Crolles, located next to the mountain.

The Col du Cucheron, culminating at 1139 m above sea level, is one of the points of the long depression of the "three passes" of the Chartreuse massif linking Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse south to Saint-Pierre d'Entremont north. Hence, it lies between the Grand Som west and the Lances de Malissard east.

The Funiculaire de Saint-Hilaire du Touvet, or Saint-Hilaire du Touvet Funicular, is a funicular railway in the département of Isère in the Rhône-Alpes region of France. It links Montfort on the road between Grenoble and Chambéry, with the village of Saint-Hilaire du Touvet, located on the Plateau des Petites Roches 600 metres (1,969 ft) above.Until the funicular was built, the village of St. Hilaire du Touvet was accessible only on foot, or by mule. The construction of the funicular was started in 1920 and it was opened in 1924, principally to serve several sanatoria built to house tuberculosis patients. A road has long since been opened, and the funicular is now used mostly by tourists and paragliders. Until 1955, the funicular was served by two 40 passenger cars. These were replaced in that year by a more modern design of car, carrying 60 passengers each. In 1992, these were in turn replaced by new cars to a retro design, not dissimilar to the original cars.

The Grande Chartreuse, the head monastery of the Carthusian order is located in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse.

Crolles (French pronunciation: [kʁɔl]) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. It is located in the Isère valley, 20 km northeast of Grenoble, upstream on the river Isère. It has given its name to the Dent de Crolles mountain (2,062 m), which stands just above the city.
