Lumbin (French pronunciation: [lœ̃bɛ̃]) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France.

Saint-Hilaire (), also known as Saint-Hilaire-du-Touvet (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃t‿ilɛːʁ dy tuvɛ]), is a former commune in the Isère department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. On 1 January 2019, Saint-Hilaire was merged into the new commune of Plateau-des-Petites-Roches, alongside Saint-Bernard and Saint-Pancrasse. The commune was made up of the three smaller settlements of Saint-Hilaire, Les Margains and Les Gaudes; its town hall became that of the new commune. Its inhabitants are known in French as the Saint-Hilairois (masculine) and Saint-Hilairoises (feminine).It is situated on the Plateau des Petites Roches, a natural balcony above the valley of the Isère, on the east side of the Massif de la Chartreuse and overlooked by the peak of the Dent de Crolles.

Plateau-des-Petites-Roches (French pronunciation: [plato de pətit ʁɔʃ]) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. It was established on 1 January 2019 by merger of the former communes of Saint-Hilaire (the seat), Saint-Bernard and Saint-Pancrasse.

The Funiculaire de Saint-Hilaire du Touvet, or Saint-Hilaire du Touvet Funicular, is a funicular railway in the département of Isère in the Rhône-Alpes region of France. It links Montfort on the road between Grenoble and Chambéry, with the village of Saint-Hilaire du Touvet, located on the Plateau des Petites Roches 600 metres (1,969 ft) above.Until the funicular was built, the village of St. Hilaire du Touvet was accessible only on foot, or by mule. The construction of the funicular was started in 1920 and it was opened in 1924, principally to serve several sanatoria built to house tuberculosis patients. A road has long since been opened, and the funicular is now used mostly by tourists and paragliders. Until 1955, the funicular was served by two 40 passenger cars. These were replaced in that year by a more modern design of car, carrying 60 passengers each. In 1992, these were in turn replaced by new cars to a retro design, not dissimilar to the original cars.

La Terrasse (French pronunciation: [la tɛʁas]) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France.

The Lances de Malissard are two summits, located in the Chartreuse Mountains in the Department of Isère, in the French Prealps. More than the peaks themselves, it is the long ridge that is north–south facing, that separate the col de Bellefond and a long alpine valley of another ridge, the Aulp du Seuil, that dominates the Gresivaudan valley. There are two "Lances" (summits) in the Lances de Malissard. The South "Lance" of Malissard culminates at 2,045 metres (6,709 ft) and north "Lance" of Malissard at 2,036 metres (6,680 ft). The Guiers Vif rises at the north end of the ridge of the Lances de Malissard.

The Grésivaudan (French pronunciation: [ɡʁezivodɑ̃]; sometimes Graisivaudan) is a valley of the French Alps, situated mostly in the Isère. Etymologically, Graisivaudan comes from roots meaning "Grenoble" (Gratianopolis) and "valley". It comprises the alluvial plain of the river Isère from Grenoble to the confluence of the Arc; or, more recently, the entire valley of the Isère from Tullins to Albertville. The stretch from Tullins to Grenoble is now the Bas-Grésivaudan (Lower Grésivaudan) and that between Grenoble and Albertville is the Haut-Grésivaudan (Upper Grésivaudan).

Crolles (French pronunciation: [kʁɔl]) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. It is located in the Isère valley, 20 km northeast of Grenoble, upstream on the river Isère. It has given its name to the Dent de Crolles mountain (2,062 m), which stands just above the city.

The Dent de Crolles (French pronunciation: [dɑ̃ də kʁɔl]) is a karstic mountain (2,062 m) of the Chartreuse Mountains range, 17 kilometres (11 miles) north east of Grenoble, Isère, France. It has a characteristic "tooth-like" profile and is easily recognizable in the Isère Valley (Grésivaudan) in the Grenoble area. The French word "dent" means tooth and "de Crolles" is derived from the town of Crolles, located next to the mountain.

The canton of Le Moyen Grésivaudan is an administrative division of the Isère department, eastern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Crolles.It consists of the following communes:

La Pierre (French pronunciation: [la pjɛʁ]) is a commune in the Isère department in southeastern France. It is part of the Grenoble urban unit (agglomeration).The commune is surrounded by agricultural land, giving the village its rural character.
