The Maria Antônia University Center is an organ of the Pro-Rectory of Culture and University Extension of the University of São Paulo, which promotes modern and contemporary art exhibitions, courses in the field of humanities, seminars, debates, and other events, with emphasis on the dialogue between the different artistic languages. Maria Antônia, as it is known, occupies the former headquarters of the School of Philosophy, Sciences, and Languages of the University of São Paulo, along with the USP Theater, in a complex of buildings classified as the city's historical heritage. The Maria Antônia is considered a relevant point to spread the production of the University of São Paulo in its many levels and a space for the exchange of knowledge produced inside and outside the university. The complex offers several didactic activities, among them: courses, seminars, workshops in engraving, photography, drawing, and painting. The São Paulo Biennial Foundation and the Institute of Architects of Brazil awarded the University Center's renovation and restoration project in the Non-Executed Institutional Category of the Votorantim Architecture Award - General Architecture Exhibition, developed by the architecture office UNA Arquitetos.

The Battle of Maria Antônia (Portuguese: Batalha da Maria Antônia) was a conflict between students from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of the University of São Paulo (FFCL-USP) and Mackenzie Presbyterian University that occurred on October 2, 1968. Both institutions were located on Maria Antônia Street, in central São Paulo, a popular venue for events such as protests and demonstrations.

FAAP-Pacaembu will be one of the future stations of São Paulo Metro and will belong to Line 6-Orange, which is under construction. In its first phase, with 15.9 km (9.9 mi) of extension, Line 6 should connect Brasilândia, in the North Side, to São Joaquim station of Line 1-Blue. Later, the line should connect Rodovia dos Bandeirantes to the borough of Cidade Líder, in the East Side. The station will be located in the confluence between Rua Ceará and Rua Sergipe, where it will attend Pacaembu Stadium, in the district of Consolação. The construction of the station began in 2016, when the opening date was estimated to mid-2020. Later, Governor Geraldo Alckmin promised the opening of the first phase of the line to 2020, time which was discarded due to a year of delay in the financing of the Federal Savings Bank, which would be used for the expropriations. In June 2016, the opening of the line was estimated for 2021, time kept in October 2017, when the resume of the construction was announced for the beginning of 2018. Currently, the construction is suspended, due to the involvement of the construction companies of the Move São Paulo consortium (Odebrecht, Queiroz Galvão, UTC Participações) in Operation Car Wash, which caused them to not get the financing of R$ 5.5 billions (US$ 1,575,344,427.58) with the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) for the continuity of the construction. The State Government of São Paulo is currently in negotiations with international companies, including Spanish Acciona and Chinese China Railway Construction Corporation.

The Cemitério dos Protestantes ("Cemetery of the Protestants") is a historic Protestant cemetery located in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The cemetery is listed by CONDEPHAAT (Council for the Protection of Historical, Archaeological, Artistic and Touristic Patrimony) for its historical, cultural and social importance for the state of São Paulo.

Largo do Arouche, also known as Flower Square (Portuguese: Praça das Flores) or Flower Market (Mercado das Flores), is located in the República district, in the central region of the city of São Paulo. It represents a center of diversity, as it has been occupied by LGBTQIAP+ social groups since the 1940s, an occupation that resisted the military dictatorship in the fight for the right to sexual and gender diversity. It houses several florists who set up shop after the existing stalls in República Square were removed by Mayor Armando de Arruda Pereira around 1914. During the 1900s, it housed the Arouche Free Fair, which was created during the crisis in the supply of fruit and vegetable products and closed in 1954. The current name refers to Lieutenant General José Arouche de Toledo Rendon, the first director of the Law School of the University of São Paulo and the Botanical Garden. It has been called Largo do Ouvidor, Largo da Artilharia and Alexandre Herculano Square. The place became nationally known after the sitcom Sai de Baixo, produced by TV Globo, was launched. The series, shown between 1996 and 2002, portrayed humorous situations that took place in a fictitious building located in Largo do Arouche.

FAAP (Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation) was founded in 1947 by Earl Armando Alvares Penteado, whose objective was to support, promote and develop the plastic and scenic arts, culture and teaching. It is one of the most prestigious and respected academic institutions in Brazil, with 12 thousand students and 1200 professors. The Campus is located in Higienópolis, one of the most traditional districts of São Paulo, and houses 7 Faculties: Business Administration, Fine Arts, Communication, Engineering, Economics, Law and Technology, post-graduation courses and MBA. The foundation is an important cultural centre in São Paulo, housing one of the most eminent theaters in town (Teatro FAAP) and the Museu de Arte Brasileira (Museum of Brazilian Art). FAAP has received important exhibits, most notably the exhibit "China: A Arte Imperial, A Arte do Cotidiano, A Arte Contemporânea", the "Treasures of the Czars" display (including some of the famous Fabergé eggs), and in 2011 an exhibit on Grace Kelly, "Os Anos Grace Kelly" (Grace Kelly Era), inaugurated by Prince Albert of Monaco. Every semester the institution provides lectures from notable artists, politicians and economists. Notable guest speakers include George H. W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Gordon Brown, Queen Silvia of Sweden, Rubens Ricupero (also Director Faculty of Economics), Fernando Henrique Cardoso, Peter Mandelson, among others.

Consolação (Portuguese pronunciation: [kõsolaˈsɐ̃w]) is a district in the Central Zone of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It belongs to the subprefecture of Sé. The district is largely residential, and contains many large apartment buildings and condominiums. It is also known for its prominent cultural institutions. The region has been populated since the 16th century, and is known for its buildings in the style of São Paulo Modern Architecture.

Cemitério da Consolação is a cemetery in São Paulo, Brazil. Located along the north side of Rua da Consolação in the district of Consolação, it was founded on 15 August 1858, with the name of Cemitério Municipal, being the city's first public graveyard.The cemetery is known by its pieces of funerary art, with graves, statues and mausoleums built and sculpted by artists such as Victor Brecheret, Ramos de Azevedo, Luigi Brizzolara and Galileo Emendabili.
