The corners that give the hamlet its name are found at the intersection of Route 9 and Boght Road (NY Route 9R on leg east of hamlet), near the Boght Community Fire District's station. The community is served by the North Colonie Central School District. Boght Hills Elementary School is located within the hamlet.

Simmons Stone House is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. It was built between 1847 and 1849 and is a two-story, massive cruciform plan stone house constructed of random ashlar blocks. It has an intersecting, low pitched gable roof with broad overhanging cornice in the Italianate style. It features a one-story porch across the front elevation with a cobblestone foundation and hipped roof supported by square columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Van Denbergh-Simmons House is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. The house was in three phases: the northeast section was built between about 1720 and 1760; the northwest section about 1790; and the south section about 1847. The northeast section is a 1+1⁄2-story Dutch house with a 1-story porch. The northwest section is a 1+1⁄2-story ell containing a large kitchen and bee hive oven. The south section is a 2-story Italian Villa style addition with a hipped roof and large square tower at the northwest corner. Also on the property are the remains of a barn foundation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

After its 2012 demolition, it was revealed that the site would be redeveloped into a headquarters for Ayco, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. Once completed, the new HQ will house over 800 employees.
