The Thaddeus Kosciusko Bridge, commonly referred to as the Twin Bridges, or just "The Twins", located in the United States, is a pair of identical through arch bridges, made of steel, which span the Mohawk River between the towns of Colonie, Albany County and Halfmoon, Saratoga County, in New York's Capital District. One span carries three lanes of Interstate 87 northbound and one carries three southbound lanes between exits 7 and 8. The toll-free bridge opened in 1959 as part of the Adirondack Northway, a 176-mile highway linking Albany and the Canada–United States border at Champlain. The Interstate 87 section of the highway was formally inaugurated by Governor Nelson Rockefeller on May 26, 1961.The bridge is named (using an anglicized form) in honor of Tadeusz Kościuszko (1746–1817), the preeminent national figure in Poland's fight for independence. Kościuszko arrived in Colonial America a month after the July 4, 1776 Declaration of Independence and remained a notable military leader throughout the Revolutionary War, attaining the rank of general as well as honorary American citizenship. Dunsbach Ferry is a hamlet of the town of Colonie, in Albany County, New York, United States. The hamlet sits to the east of, and below, the Thaddeus Kosciusko Bridge (also known as "The Twin Bridges"), where Interstate 87 (I-87) crosses the Mohawk River. There are numerous private and public docks and landings between the Twin Bridges and the Colonie Town Park. Boght Corners (also referred to as Boght) is a hamlet in the town of Colonie in northern Albany County, New York, United States, that straddles U.S. Route 9 (Route 9). The corners that give the hamlet its name are found at the intersection of Route 9 and Boght Road (NY Route 9R on leg east of hamlet), near the Boght Community Fire District's station. The community is served by the North Colonie Central School District. Boght Hills Elementary School is located within the hamlet.

The Starlite Music Theatre was a 3,000-capacity theatre in the round located in the Latham area of the Town of Colonie. Also known as the Latham Coliseum, it opened as the Colonie Coliseum in 1958 with a production of the classic musical Damn Yankees, and was demolished in 2012. Some of the big-name acts that performed at the venue include Diana Ross, Rodney Dangerfield, Eddie Murphy, Three Dog Night, Pat Benatar, America, "Weird Al" Yankovic, B.B. King, Bob Hope, Little Richard, The Beach Boys, Harry Chapin, and Kenny Rogers.The Starlite property is located at 625 Columbia Street Extension (NY 9R), west of the city of Cohoes, and just east of 9R's southern junction with US 9 & I-87. After its 2012 demolition, it was revealed that the site would be redeveloped into a headquarters for Ayco, a subsidiary of Goldman Sachs. Once completed, the new HQ will house over 800 employees.

Simmons Stone House is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. It was built between 1847 and 1849 and is a two-story, massive cruciform plan stone house constructed of random ashlar blocks. It has an intersecting, low pitched gable roof with broad overhanging cornice in the Italianate style. It features a one-story porch across the front elevation with a cobblestone foundation and hipped roof supported by square columns.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Van Denbergh-Simmons House is a historic home located at Colonie in Albany County, New York. The house was in three phases: the northeast section was built between about 1720 and 1760; the northwest section about 1790; and the south section about 1847. The northeast section is a 1+1⁄2-story Dutch house with a 1-story porch. The northwest section is a 1+1⁄2-story ell containing a large kitchen and bee hive oven. The south section is a 2-story Italian Villa style addition with a hipped roof and large square tower at the northwest corner. Also on the property are the remains of a barn foundation.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Latham Circle is the intersection of U.S. Route 9 (US 9) and New York State Route 2 (NY 2) within the town of Colonie, New York in Albany County.

Reformed Dutch Church of Rensselaer in Watervliet (also known as Component No. 19) is a historic Reformed Dutch church at 210 Old Loudon Road in the hamlet of Latham, town of Colonie, Albany County, New York. It was built in 1817 in a vernacular Greek Revival style. It has a pedimented roof and corner pilasters. It features a square cupola with a single bell atop the roof with a large channeled cornice with a low pitch roof. It served as a church until 1886 and since then has been used as a feed store, public meeting hall, chapel, architect firm and most recently as theater for stage productions.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Latham Circle Mall was an enclosed shopping mall located adjacent to the Latham Circle (the intersection of US 9 and NY 2) in Latham, New York. Built in 1957 as Latham Corners Shopping Center, the mall was renovated several times in its history, most notably in 1977 when it became a fully enclosed and temperature-controlled shopping mall. Around the mid 2000s, the mall started to lose tenants eventually becoming a dead mall. By 2013, the mall was to be redeveloped and shuttered while JCPenney, which has been part of the complex since it opened in 1957, remained. Demolition of the mall began in March of that year.
