Marvin Ridge High School

Horizon Lines, Inc. was an American domestic ocean shipping and logistics company headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was the largest Jones Act-compliant maritime shipping and logistics company, and accounted for approximately 37 per cent of all U.S. container shipments linking the continental United States to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Under the Jones Act, maritime shipments between U.S. ports is restricted to U.S.-built, owned, and flagged vessels operated by predominantly U.S.-citizen crews. The company originated from Sea-Land Service, Inc. The domestic liner operations of Sea-Land were sold in 2003 and thereafter operated under the name Horizon Lines. Horizon became a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange in 2005. In 2015 the company was acquired by Matson Navigation Company.

CrossRidge Center is a mixed-use development located in Indian Land, South Carolina. Development of the site can be traced back to 2003, when discussions first began. A major phase of development was announced in 2018.

Waxhaw is a town in Union County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 20,534 according to the 2020 Census. The population grew 108.28% from 2010. The name is derived from the indigenous people who lived in the area, who were known as the Waxhaw people.

Elon Park is a 118-acre urban park at 11401 Ardrey Kell Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. It has a recreation center with a gym, classrooms, and a game room. The park features a playground, soccer and softball fields, a fishing pond, and a walking trail. Elon Park contains two disc golf courses, one for advanced players. Indian Land is an unincorporated community in the northernmost part (the "Panhandle") of Lancaster County, South Carolina, United States. It lies six miles east of Fort Mill, and west of the villages of Marvin and Waxhaw, North Carolina. While not incorporated, the community is assigned with the ZIP code 29707. U.S. Highway 521 is a major highway that runs through the community and connects Indian Land with cities in North Carolina, and Lancaster County to the south. Indian Land does not have a downtown.

The James A. Blakeney House is a historic house located near Providence, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1905–1906, and is a two-story, three-bay, Colonial Revival style frame farmhouse with a one-story rear kitchen wing. It has a multiple cross-gable slate roof and a broad hip roofed wraparound porch. Also on the property is a contributing well house.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on June 18, 1998.

The Waxhaws is a geographical region extending beyond both sides of the border between what now is North Carolina and South Carolina, United States. It encompasses the areas currently known as Lancaster, Union and Mecklenburg counties. The name is derived from that of the Indigenous people who first inhabited the landbase, the Waxhaw people. Much of the area is now the territory of the Catawba Indian Nation.

Sandy Ridge Township is 65.69 square miles (170.1 km2) in size and is located in southwestern Union County. This township contains the towns of Waxhaw, Weddington, Mineral Springs, and Stallings. The villages of Marvin and Wesley Chapel are also located here.
