The Hospital Provincial del Centenario (Spanish, Centennial Provincial Hospital) is a general hospital in Rosario, Argentina, which depends on the Health Ministry of the provincial state of Santa Fe. It is a public hospital, managed partly by an elected council. The HPC is located about ten blocks from the center of the city, on Urquiza St. and Francia Avenue. The hospital and the Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Nacional de Rosario share a large area of 2-by-2 blocks and are communicated by inner passages. The hospital has 183 beds and services the north and north-west part of Rosario as well as neighboring towns in the west of the Greater Rosario metropolitan area. It is the base hospital for 9 primary care centers (in administrative terms, Programmatic Area II of Zone VIII of the Santa Fe Ministry of Health). The name of the hospital derives from its initial planning as part of the commemoration for the 100th anniversary of the May Revolution of 1810. In fact the hospital was built in several stages, and did not acquire its present form until much later than 1910.

The Patio de la Madera, (Centro de Exposiciones y Convenciones Complejo Patio de la Madera) is a "Convention and Exposition Centre" complex located in Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina, occupying two blocks opposite the Mariano Moreno Bus Terminal, near the geographic center of the city. The formal name is almost never used; the shorter form Centro de Convenciones Patio de la Madera is preferred even in official communications. The main buildings provide room for conventions, lectures and conferences, artistic exhibitions and shows, etc., with an auditorium for 1,800 people and six smaller facilities with capacities between 120 and 370 people. There are 4,000 m2 of covered area for exhibitions (plus another 1,000 semi-covered and 7,200 outdoors). The complex also includes two nightclubs, an amphitheater, a park area with modern sculptures and a small artificial lake, two international cuisine restaurants, a fast food restaurant, and parking space for 250 vehicles. The site of the Patio de la Madera was a former train station, a terminal of the Ferrocarril General Manuel Belgrano railway company that was abandoned when, in 1987, the cargo facilities were shut down and the rails were removed. The site was gradually recovered by the municipal government, starting during the administration of Mayor Horacio Usandizaga. By the early 2000s it was already a well-known center for national and international cultural activities.

Mariano Moreno bus station (Terminal de Ómnibus Mariano Moreno in Spanish) is a bus station located in the city of Rosario in Santa Fe Province, Argentina. The station receives near 340,000 buses a year (930 services per day) with an average of 13,500,000 people transported within a year (37,000 passengers per day), being the most important station not only of Rosario but other cities around. The station is located in the central-west region of the city, 3 km. from downtown Rosario. It has services such as bar, fast food restaurant, coffeehouses and other stores. Other services include parking lots, a bank and cash dispensers, a courier, a newsagent's shop, and accessible toilets. Buses daily depart to the main cities of Argentina and bordering countries.

The Rosario Department (in Spanish, Departamento Rosario) is an administrative subdivision (departamento) of the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is located on the south of the province, with its eastern border coinciding with the provincial border along the Paraná River. It has an area of 1,890 square kilometres (730 sq mi) and a population of 1.3 million, with a population density of about 700 inhabitants/km2. This department is the most populated in the province (comprising more than one third of the total population). The department's head town is the city of Rosario; most of the population is concentrated in its metropolitan area (Greater Rosario), which reaches north into the neighboring San Lorenzo Department. Other important cities and towns are Ibarlucea, Granadero Baigorria, Funes, Pérez, Piñero, Zavalla, Pueblo Nuevo, Villa Diego, Álvarez, Villa Amelia, Acebal, Uranga, Arroyo Seco, Fighiera, and Coronel Bogado. Limiting the Rosario Department to the south is the Constitución Department (whose head town is Villa Constitución) and to the east and north, the San Lorenzo Department (head town San Lorenzo). On the eastern border, along the Paraná River, is the heart of the Industrial Corridor, a productive area with a concentration of light industries (such as soybean oil and pod processing) and major ports.

Greater Rosario is the metropolitan area of the city of Rosario, in the province of Santa Fe, Argentina. This metropolis has a population of about 1.3 million (1,276,000 million inhabitants) thus being Argentina's third most populated urban settlement, after Buenos Aires and Córdoba.The Greater Rosario comprises Rosario itself (population about 910,000) and a large area around it, spreading in all directions except eastward (because of the Paraná River). Directly to the south it includes the city of Villa Gobernador Gálvez, with a population of about 75,000, at about 10 km (6.2 mi) from the center of Rosario. To the west and south-west there are several smaller towns and cities (Funes, Roldán, Pérez, Soldini); Roldán is 23 km from Rosario's center. These settlements were incorporated into the metropolis due to their vicinity to major roads leading into Rosario, and many people living there habitually commute to Rosario. The farthest end is to the north, following the coast of the river; from Rosario one finds, in succession and usually merging into each other, the towns of Granadero Baigorria, Capitán Bermúdez, Fray Luis Beltrán, San Lorenzo (already in a different departamento, with a population of over 40,000), and Puerto General San Martín, the last being at a distance of 35 km from Rosario. The north of the Greater Rosario is one end of an area traditionally called Cordón Industrial ("Industrial Corridor"), since it was traditionally a heavily industrialized productive region. The prelude to the economic crisis in the 1990s largely dismantled the industrial infrastructure and damaged agricultural exports. As of 2006 the recovery of national economy has revitalized them, but high levels of poverty and unemployment persist (the last official survey indicates that 27.4% of the population is under the poverty line).

The Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (Spanish: Hospital de Emergencias Clemente Álvarez, also abbreviated HECA) is an emergency hospital and trauma center in Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is located on the 3200 block of Pellegrini Avenue, west of the city center. The hospital is the largest emergency center in Argentina, and its equipment ranks among the most modern in Latin America. Its burn unit is the only such one in the public sector in the city and the region. It employs more than 900 people.The original HECA was located in the south of the city and was considerably smaller. The new facilities took 10 years to be completed, due in part to the Argentine economic crisis between 1999 and 2002. The construction of the new HECA was finished on 30 May 2007, but the move, as well as the staff's re-training and testing, again delayed its inaugural until about a year later, on 5 May 2008.

The Dolfines Guaraní complex is a pair of high-rise luxury apartment buildings in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. Completed in 2011, the development comprises twin towers (Dolfines Guaraní 1 and 2), with 46 floors, 136.5 metres (448 ft) high. Upon completion, they became the tallest buildings in the country outside of Buenos Aires. The towers are located on the area known as Puerto Norte, facing the Paraná River.

A gas explosion caused by a large gas leak occurred in a residential area of Rosario, the third-largest city in Argentina, on August 6, 2013. A nearby building collapsed, and others were at high risk of structural failure. Twenty-two people died, and sixty were injured. Several organizations helped secure the area, search for survivors and aid people who lost their homes. Shortly after the explosion, the time needed for reconstruction was estimated at six months. The provincial judiciary launched an investigation into the cause of the explosion. Primary suspects were Litoral Gas (the natural-gas provider for Rosario) and an employee who carried out maintenance work at the building that day. Several public figures sent condolences, and most of the candidates for the 2013 primary elections suspended their political campaigns.

The Palace of Justice (Palacio de Justicia) is a former courthouse in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina. Juan Canals, an entrepreneur, commissioned the British architect Herbert Boyd Walker, who conceived and built the Palace of Justice in 1892. The building constitutes a singular example of the eclectic style common at the end of the century. It has a strong French and Italian influence, which can be seen in its two internal galleries and patios, or in its many justice-related sculptures. Perhaps the most notable reference of the building is the tower, which has a bell and a giant clock on its top. It was built in a plot donated partly by the Rosario City Hall and partly by Canals, who was looking forward to recover his initial investment after 30 years of collecting rent. Before the construction, the place was occupied by the "Las Carretas" square. The project also included two more buildings: one of them is today an elementary school, while the other one is a detachment of the provincial government. In 1912, following Canals' bankruptcy, the property of the buildings was transferred to the provincial government. Since its creation and until 1960, the edifice was used by the city courts of law. It was known as the "Palacio de Justicia". On 1960 the city courts of law had to move due to the needs of Rosario's growing population. Almost 50 years have passed since then; however, people still refer to the building as the "Ex-Palacio de Justicia". Shortly after the Courts of Law had moved, the building was used to house a new institution dedicated to the teaching of law and political sciences, as well as the "Gallardo" Natural History Museum on the upper floor. The institution later became the Law and Political Sciences school. In 1974, the Political Sciences school was given its own building, so all that remained was the Law School and the Natural History Museum. In 1997, by decree N° 262/97, the building was declared a National Historic Monument. In 2003, the building caught fire and its eastern wing was severely damaged. As a result, the Dr. Ángel Gallardo Provincial Natural Sciences Museum lost many of its collections, and had to move. Full restoration works began immediately after the fire and continue today. The building is expected to be fully restored and as of 2007, refurbishment works were 90% complete (including a substantial modernization of the facilities).

The Facultad de Derecho is the Law School of the National University of Rosario (Argentina), and is located in the former Palace of Justice Building, a Rosario landmark and a National Historic Monument.

Patio Parada is a rail yard in Rosario, province of Santa Fe, Argentina. It is an important part of the railway system of the city and has been designed as the future site of a multi-modal public transport terminus. Formerly belonging to the Ferrocarril General Bartolomé Mitre company, it is now managed by the Nuevo Central Argentino (NCA) railway company. It employs a broad 5 ft 6 in (1676 mm) gauge railway.

The Dr. Ángel Gallardo Provincial Natural Sciences Museum (in Spanish, Museo Provincial de Ciencias Naturales Dr. Ángel Gallardo) is a public museum in Rosario, Argentina, specialized in biology. It was founded by Professor Pascual Maciá (a professor and zoologist) in 1945, and is currently administered by the provincial state of Santa Fe.The museum was formerly located in the National University of Rosario Law School (a national historic monument built in 1889). On July 1, 2003, people attending a demonstration organized by labor unions launched fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices to attract attention, near the building. A fire broke out, forcing its evacuation. The fire damaged or destroyed around 50% of the facilities, including 80% of the museum (with the loss of 11,000 of its 13,000 exhibits).The reconstruction of the museum required around 2 million pesos (US$660,000). The remaining exhibits were restored, and the seat of the museum was moved one block, to the building that houses the delegation of the provincial government. The museum was re-inaugurated on July 6, 2006, downsized, with a more modern concept including interactive displays.
