The Oconee County School District is a public school district in Oconee County, Georgia, United States, based in Watkinsville. It serves the communities of Bishop, Bogart, North High Shoals, and Watkinsville.

Watkinsville is the largest town and county seat of Oconee County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2020 census, the town had a total population of 2,896. It served as the seat of Clarke County until 1872 when the county seat of that county was moved to Athens, a move which ultimately led to the creation of Oconee County in 1875. It is included in the Athens-Clarke County, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area.

It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It included 19 contributing buildings.It includes Greek Revival, Queen Anne, and Gothic Revival architecture. It includes the Watkinsville Methodist Church and the Butler House and the Veale House.

It is one of two high schools in the Oconee County Public Schools district. Its mascot is the Warrior, and its colors are blue and white. The school was ranked number 499 out of 500 in Newsweek's 2014 rankings of the top 500 high schools in America, and is consistently named one of the top public high schools in Georgia with regard to Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores.OCHS offers football, wrestling, soccer, swimming and diving, volleyball, baseball, tennis, track, and cross country. At private, public-local and public-federal levels, the town has 63 contributing buildings, one contributing site and one contributing structure.The area registered as having historical significance is roughly along Price Mill Road, Old Bishop Road and U.S. Route 441 within the Bishop town limits.

Turner Soccer Complex is a 1,700-capacity stadium located in Athens, Georgia. It is primarily used for soccer and serves as the home field for the Georgia Bulldogs women's soccer team. The complex is named for Hoyt "Jack" Turner, an Athens native who has financially supported Bulldogs soccer and other athletic endeavors for several years. The stadium opened on September 1, 1998 (1998-09-01). Turner Soccer Complex hosted the 2000 Southeastern Conference Women’s Soccer Tournament.
