Colonia San Rafael is a colonia of the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City, just west of the historic city center. It was established in the late 19th century as one of the first formal neighborhoods outside of the city center and initially catered to the wealthy of the Porfirio Díaz era. These early residents built large mansions, many with French influence, and many still remain. Middle class residents moved in soon afterwards, and building and rebuilding over the 20th century has introduced a number of architectural styles. These buildings include some of the first works by Luis Barragán and today 383 are classified as having historic value. In the 1940s and 1950s, the area was home to a number of important theatrical and movie theaters. Most of the movie theaters have since closed, but ten important stage theaters remain, and have performances seven days a week. The colonia is still home to the Jardín del Arte Sunday art market, which has inspired other such market such as the one in the San Ángel neighborhood in the south of the city. the colonia had been in decline with the abandonment of mansions as wealthier residents left. However, more recently the colonia has seen an upswing in development as young artists and galleries have moved into the area. Many artists have found Colonia San Rafael less expensive, accessible and more dynamic than trendy Colonia Condesa or Colonia Roma.

The Jardín del Arte Sullivan (literally Sullivan Garden of Art) is an outdoor art gale which takes place every Sunday near the historic center of Mexico City in a neighborhood called Colonia San Rafael. This gallery began in the 1950s, when young artists who could not show their works in traditional galleries and shows decided to set up in front of their studios and in local parks to exhibit and sell their work. A number began to do so at the base of the Monumento a la Madre (Monument to Mothers) at Sullivan Park and in 1959, the Asociación Jardín del Arte, a non profit civil association was established affiliated with the Instituto Nacional de la Juventud Mexicana. Since then the outdoor gallery has shown works by a number of artists who moved on to better things such as Rodolfo Morales, established a second and third art market in the San Ángel neighborhood and has grown to 700 members.

The Mother's Monument, or Monument to the Mother (Spanish: Monumento a la Madre), is a monument commemorating Mexican mothers, installed in Mexico City, inaugurated on May 10, 1949. It was destroyed on September 19, 2017, after an earthquake of magnitude 7.1 on the Richter scale that shook Mexico City, and reopened on November 21, 2018.

The Miguel Pro Human Rights Center (PRODH) is a Jesuit human rights society based in Mexico founded in 1988.

Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (Spanish for National Council of Science and Technology; abbreviated CONACYT) is Mexico's entity in charge of the promotion of scientific and technological activities, setting government policies for these matters, and granting scholarships for postgraduate studies. It is the equivalent of the US's National Science Foundation and Argentina's CONICET. It is officially designated as a decentralized public agency of Mexico's federal government. CONACYT was founded in 1970.

Torre MAPFRE (MAPFRE Tower) is a 124-meter, 27-story office building at Paseo de la Reforma 243 in Mexico City, at the Glorieta de la Palma ("palm" roundabout) at the intersection of Río Rhin avenue in the Colonia Cuauhtémoc neighborhood. It is the tenth tallest tower on the emblematic boulevard.

How Doth the Little Crocodile (Spanish: Cómo hace el pequeño cocodrilo) is both a painting and an outdoor bronze sculpture by British-born Mexican surrealist artist Leonora Carrington. Carrington first painted How Doth the Little Crocodile in 1998. The statue was cast around that time and in 2000, it was donated to the government of Mexico City, who installed it in a pond at Chapultepec Park, in the Miguel Hidalgo borough. The sculpture was relocated in 2006 to Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, in the Cuauhtémoc borough, in downtown Mexico City. Both artworks were inspired by and named after the 1865 poem "How Doth the Little Crocodile", written by Lewis Carroll for his novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.

The statue of Louis Pasteur is installed in Mexico City, Mexico. The sculpture was gifted by the city's French community to commemorate the centenary of Mexican independence.

The Monument to Cuauhtémoc is an 1887 monument dedicated to the last Mexica ruler (tlatoani) of Tenochtitlan Cuauhtémoc, located at the intersection of Avenida de los Insurgentes and Paseo de la Reforma in Mexico City. It is the work of Francisco Jiménez and Miguel Noreña in the "neoindigenismo" (academic indigenismo style), and was proposed to promote the new government of Porfirio Díaz.

An antimonumento (English: anti-monument) was installed near the Mexican Stock Exchange Building, on Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, in the Cuauhtémoc borough of Mexico City. The work included the installation of the number 65 along with the plus sign to honor the sixty-five miners that died during the 19 February 2006 Pasta de Conchos mine disaster in San Juan de Sabinas Municipality, Coahuila. Only two bodies were recovered as of 2018. Protesters installed the anti-monument during the afternoon of 18 February 2018—the eve of the twelfth anniversary of the disaster—as a plea for justice for the collapse and for justice for the government's inaction. The artwork was never given an official name, and those who installed it referred to it simply as Antimonumento; because of its physical characteristics, it is known as Antimonumento +65, although it is known by other names. The plus symbol in the sculpture is engraved with the names of the victims, coupled with the phrase A una voz, ¡rescate ya! (English: "With one voice, rescue now!"). The plus symbol also carries the meaning of honoring other miners who died under similar circumstances. The following year, the demonstrators placed a metal cage with sixty-three helmets buried in coal mined from a Coahuila mine behind the main sculpture.

Glorieta de la Palma is a roundabout in Mexico City that connects Paseo de la Reforma with Río Rhin Street and Niza Street. It is known for a tall palm tree that stood in the middle for a century. The roundabout is the only along Reforma that has never had a monument. The building of Bolsa Mexicana de Valores is at the roundabout, opposite the Zona Rosa. The area is serviced by the city's Metrobús system at La Palma station, whose pictogram features the palm tree.

Torre Punta Reforma also known as Reforma 180 is an office skyscraper in the Cuauhtémoc district of Mexico City, Mexico. Built between 2010 and 2015, the tower stands at 163.7 m (537 ft) tall with 37 floors and is the current 24th tallest building in Mexico City and the 33th tallest in Mexico.
