University City High School (Philadelphia)

The 36th Street Portal is a SEPTA subway–surface lines trolley station in Philadelphia serving Route 10. The station is located at the corner of 36th and Ludlow streets, one block from Market Street. The station is located at a tunnel portal that connects with trackage for the other subway–surface lines. The station is two blocks north of 36th Street station, an underground station serving the remaining subway–surface routes.

Monell conducts and publishes interdisciplinary basic research on taste, smell, and chemesthesis (chemically mediated skin senses, such as the burn of capsaicin or the tingle of carbonation).

Innovation Plaza is a pocket park in the University City section Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, located in the 37th Street corridor that features a innovators walk of fame for various scientists including Jen Bartik who worked on the ENIAC and others. The park was dedicated in December 2015. The park is a collaborative effort between various organizations and the Science Center to come up with a design that caters to the diverse cultures in the area.

The Institute of Contemporary Art or ICA is a contemporary art museum in Philadelphia. The museum is associated with the University of Pennsylvania, and is located on its campus. The Institute is one of the country's leading museums dedicated to exhibiting the innovative art of our time. Robert Chaney is its Director of Curatorial Affairs.

St. Anthony Hall House, also known as the Delta Chapter House for the Fraternity of Delta Psi, is a historic fraternity house located in the University City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is the St. Anthony Hall for the University of Pennsylvania. It was designed by the architectural firm of Cope & Stewardson and built in 1907. It is a three-story, brick building with limestone trim in the Late Gothic Revival-style. It measures 36 feet wide and 88 feet long.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The University City Science Center (UCSC) was established as the first and largest urban research park in the United States. It was established in 1963, within the demolished Black Bottom neighborhood of Philadelphia, now known as University City. Today it offers startup support services, allocates capital, gathers the innovation community, and builds inclusive STEM pathways for Philadelphia youth and adults. An independent 2016 study reported that graduate organizations and current residents that have benefited from University City Science Center’s business incubation services have created more than 12,000 jobs that remain in the Greater Philadelphia region today and contribute more than $13 billion to the regional economy annually.

34th Street station is an underground station on the SEPTA Market-Frankford Line, located at the intersection of 34th Street and Market Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the University City neighborhood of West Philadelphia. The station is on the Drexel University campus, adjacent to the Daskalakis Athletic Center, and near the University of Pennsylvania campus and the University City Science Center. The station is also served by SEPTA bus routes 30, 31, 49, and LUCY loops.

Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) is an academic association dedicated to the use of mathematics in industry. SIAM is the world's largest professional association devoted to applied mathematics, and roughly two-thirds of its membership resides within the United States. Founded in 1951, the organization began holding annual national meetings in 1954, and now hosts conferences, publishes books and scholarly journals, and engages in lobbying in issues of interest to its membership. The focus for the society is applied, computational, and industrial mathematics, and the society often promotes its acronym as "Science and Industry Advance with Mathematics". Members include engineers, scientists, and mathematicians, both those employed in academia and those working in industry. The society supports educational institutions promoting applied mathematics. SIAM is one of the four member organizations of the Joint Policy Board for Mathematics.

36th Street station is a SEPTA trolley station in Philadelphia. It is located at the intersection of Sansom and 36th Streets, and serves Routes 11, 13, 34, and 36 of the SEPTA subway–surface trolley lines. Trolleys serving this station go eastbound to Center City Philadelphia and westbound to the neighborhoods of Eastwick and Angora, as well as the Delaware County suburbs of Yeadon and Darby. The station is located adjacent to the Institute of Contemporary Art and is two blocks away from the 36th Street Portal station, which serves the Route 10 trolley.

Daskalakis Athletic Center (DAC) is a 300,000 square feet (28,000 m2) athletic and recreational facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.The facility is best known for its 2,509-seat multi-purpose arena that is home to multiple Drexel University Dragons sports teams including basketball and wrestling. While the entire recreation center, including the multi-purpose arena, gym, natatorium, rock climbling wall, and squash canter are located in the athletic center, the "DAC" generally refers solely to the multi-purpose arena. In January 2005, the basketball court was named Cozen Court after being dedicated to former Drexel men's basketball head coach Sam Cozen.At the 2006 convocation Drexel University president Constantine Papadakis announced a 60,000-square-foot (5,600 m2), three-story addition to the existing Daskalakis Athletic Center. The project, which expanded to an 84,000-square-foot (7,800 m2) addition, broke ground in June 2008. Construction finished in December 2009 and parts of the building opened to students in January 2010. The Drexel Recreational Center officially opened in February 2010.

Poth and Schmidt Development Houses is a set of six historic double houses in the Powelton Village neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were built in 1890, and are three-story brick buildings in the Queen Anne-style. They feature mansard roofs with terra cotta shingles, front porches, and projecting three-story bay windows. The house at 3314-3316 Arch Street has a corner tower.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
