Carrières-sous-Poissy (French: [kaʁjɛʁ su pwasi] ) is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. The town sits on the bank of the Seine River, directly opposite the commune of Poissy. Notable landmarks in Carrières-sous-Poissy include the Château Champfleury, the Château Vanderbilt and St. Joseph's Church.

It is located in the western suburbs of Paris, 23.8 km (14.8 mi) from the centre of Paris. Inhabitants are called Pisciacais in French. Poissy is one of the oldest royal cities of Île-de-France, birthplace of Louis IX of France and Philip III of France, before being supplanted from the 15th century by Saint-Germain-en-Laye. In 1561, it was the site of a fruitless Catholic–Huguenot conference, the Colloquy of Poissy. The area is known for hosting the Automobiles Gregoire successively, Matford, Ford SAF, Simca, Chrysler, Talbot factories and now hosts one of France's largest Peugeot factories. The "Simca Poissy engine" was made there. Poissy is the 165th most populated city in Metropolitan France.

The canton of Poissy is an administrative division of the Yvelines department, northern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Poissy.

Achères (French pronunciation: [aʃɛʁ] ) is a commune in the Yvelines department in north-central France. It is located 23.7 km (14.7 mi) from the centre of Paris. The commune of Achères lies on the south bank of the Seine in a loop of the river, on the edge of the Forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye. It borders Saint-Germain-en-Laye and Poissy on the south, Andrésy and Carrières-sous-Poissy on the west, Conflans-Sainte-Honorine and Herblay on the north, and Maisons-Laffitte and La Frette-sur-Seine on the east. Inhabitants of Achères are called Achérois.

Villa Savoye (French pronunciation: [savwa]) is a modernist villa and gatelodge in Poissy, on the outskirts of Paris, France. It was designed by the Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier and his cousin Pierre Jeanneret, and built between 1928 and 1931 using reinforced concrete.As an exemplar of Le Corbusier's "five points" for new constructions, the villa is representative of the origins of modern architecture and is one of the most easily recognizable and renowned examples of the International style. The house was originally built as a country retreat for the Savoye family. After being purchased by the neighbouring school, it became the property of the French state in 1958. Due to many different problems it was rarely inhabited. After surviving several proposals to demolish it, it was designated as an official French historical monument in 1965 (a rare event, as Le Corbusier was still alive). It was thoroughly renovated between 1985 and 1997, and the refurbished house is now open to visitors year round under the care of the Centre des monuments nationaux.In July 2016, the house and 16 other buildings by Le Corbusier, spread over seven countries, were inscribed as The Architectural Work of Le Corbusier World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Forest of Saint-Germain-en-Laye or Forêt de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, is a dominial forest of 35 km2 (14 sq mi) in area which lies in a meander of the River Seine, France. Situated 20 km (12 mi) West of Paris, between Saint-Germain-en-Laye, Maisons-Laffitte, Achères and Poissy, It is situated entirely within the commune of Saint-Germain. Essentially composed of oak (53%) and beech (18%), it is now a forest bordered by built up areas and divided by communication links: route nationales, A14 and the railway line from Paris to Caen. The Fête des Loges is, every year, organised in an open space near Saint-Germain.

Chambourcy (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃buʁsi] ) is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It is located 3 km (1.9 mi) west of Saint-Germain-en-Laye and about 25 km (16 mi) west of Paris. Its inhabitants are called Camboriciens. "Chambourcy", formerly "Champ Bourcy", is derived from the Latin expression "campus bruacii", field of brushlands. The current mayor, and mayor since 1995 is Pierre Morange. He has also been a member of the French National Assembly since 1997.

Chanteloup-les-Vignes (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃tlu le viɲ]) is a commune and town in the Yvelines department, Île-de-France, north central France. The town was used for a large part of the film La Haine.

The Stade Georges Lefèvre, officially known as the Stade Municipal Georges Lefèvre, and formerly as the Stade des Loges, is a sports complex in Saint-Germain-en-Laye, nearby Paris, France. It is located just across the street from the Camp des Loges, the former training ground of French football club Paris Saint-Germain. Between 1904 and 1970, the Stade Georges Lefèvre was the home stadium and training ground of former French football club Stade Saint-Germain. It then hosted Paris Saint-Germain from 1970 until 2024, when they left for the newly-built Campus PSG. Rugby union club Stade Français are expected to become the new tenants of the Stade Georges Lefèvre in the summer of 2024. The complex will also continue to be the headquarters of the Association Paris Saint-Germain.
