Empire Subang

The Petaling District is a district located in the heart of Selangor in Malaysia, not to be confused with the city of Petaling Jaya located in it, nor the mukim of Petaling within Petaling Jaya City Council within Petaling district. The district office is located in Subang. The district of Petaling was established on 1 February 1974, the same day Kuala Lumpur was declared a Federal Territory. This district is located in the middle of the Klang Valley adjacent o the capital and thus has experienced tremendous urbanisation. Some of the original forests remain in the Bukit Cherakah Forest Reserve (including the National Botanic Gardens), Kota Damansara Community Forest Park and Bukit Gasing. During the 1991 census, it recorded 633,165 people.In the official 2010 census, it recorded 1,660,869 people. (exclude foreign) It covers some 484.32 km² in area. The urban centres are divided into the cities of Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya and Subang Jaya . However, there are numerous town subdivisions, old subdistrict administrations (mukim), all of which share the same names like Damansara, Subang, and Petaling, which add much to the administrative confusion along with the rapid growth. Some five types of subdivisions exist for Petaling District, namely the re-organized municipal council majlis, the majlis subdivisions, the community names (also known as townships), electoral constituencies, and the subdivisions ("mukim"). It is host to many thriving townships such as the Damansara area, which hosts several shopping malls including a Tesco and an IKEA outlet. Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport is situated in Subang.

The Darul Ehsan Mosque (Malay: Masjid Darul Ehsan) is the first mosque in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located in SS 15 adjacent to the Subang Parade shopping complex. It was constructed between 1983 and 1985 to serve the then newly built township of Subang Jaya. This mosque was officially opened on 13 September 1985 by Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah of Selangor in conjunction of the 25th Silver Jubilee of his reign.

The Subang Jaya station is a railway station located in SS16, Subang Jaya. It is served by the KTM Komuter Port Klang Line and Skypark Link, as well as the LRT Kelana Jaya Line. The station is situated at the city centre of Subang Jaya behind Subang Parade and AEON Big Subang. It is a popular train and bus hub and is commonly used by college students for travel to and from colleges and universities like SEGi University, Taylor's University, Monash University, INTI College, the University of Wollongong and Sunway University. The journey time to KL Sentral from this station is approximately 30 minutes. Buses that offer services from the station include Bas Selangorku and Rapid KL.

SS15 LRT station is a Light Rapid Transit station connects the SS15 and SS17 neighborhoods in Subang Jaya, Selangor. The station is located at Jalan Jengka. It is operated under the Kelana Jaya LRT system network as found in the station signage. Like most other LRT stations operating in Klang Valley, this station is elevated.

ALFA College (formally known as Kolej Alif) is a private, international college located in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The college currently offers certificate and diploma programmes in design, education, and business. Since its inception in 1998, ALFA College has been recognized as a leading teaching center in the design fields which has structured its course work towards practical-skills development rather than conceptual learning.

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Subang Utama (commonly referred to as SMKSU) is a secondary school situated in Subang Jaya, Selangor. It was formerly known as Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Subang Jaya 2. The school began classes on 4 December 1989. It is the second oldest national secondary school in Subang Jaya after SMK Subang Jaya.

Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Subang Jaya (SMKSJ, formerly Sekolah Menengah Subang Jaya) is a secondary school in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It was the first school to be established in the Subang Jaya region in 1981. Due to the lack of classrooms, SMK Subang Utama was built to accommodate the students residing in Subang Jaya.

Subang National Golf Club (Malay: Kelab Golf Negara Subang) is one of the major golf courses in the Klang Valley, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located in Kelana Jaya, Selangor and near Subang Jaya across the Federal Highway, and consists of two 18-hole courses.It has hosted several significant golf tournaments in its history. It hosted the Malaysian Dunlop Masters several times in the 1970s and 1980s. It also hosted the Malaysian Open in 1983, 1987, and 1991.In 1977 Walter Godfrey started working as the club pro. He worked at the club for five years. During his tenure at Subang National he won the 1979 Dunlop Masters.

Glenmarie (also known as CGC-Glenmarie for sponsorship reasons) is a Light Rapid Transit (LRT) station in Glenmarie near Kelana Jaya in Subang, Selangor. The station will serve as an interchange with the Shah Alam line which is currently under construction and will be targeted to open in 2024. It is operated under the Kelana Jaya LRT system network as found in the station signage. Like most other LRT stations operating in Klang Valley, this station is elevated. Despite sharing the same name, the LRT station will not be an interchange with Glenmarie Komuter station on the Subang Skypark extension of the Terminal Skypark Line, which is located approximately 2.6 km away near Glenmarie Industrial Park. The LRT station is instead located on the Subang Airport Road adjacent to the neighbourhood of SS7, Kelana Jaya. There is a Park-and-Ride facility provided as well. This station also is near to MBPJ Stadium, that home venue to Petaling Jaya Rangers, that currently competes in the Malaysia third tier football league. There is also a walking distance to Lincoln University College. From 30 August 2017, Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC) Malaysia Berhad acquires the naming right of the station, which is located around 100 metres from CGC's headquarters in Kelana Jaya.

The Petaling Jaya Stadium , commonly referred to as MBPJ Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium and home for Petaling Jaya City F.C. together with Selangor F.C. in the suburb of Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The stadium was opened in 1996 and has a capacity of 25,000. It was built in time for the 1998 Commonwealth Games, and hosted the Games' rugby union matches. The stadium mostly being used for local football matches. Current tenant for the stadium are Petaling Jaya City F.C., Selangor F.C., Petaling Jaya Rangers and MISC-MIFA.

Batu Tiga (literally meaning mile three) is a suburb in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located at the border between Subang Jaya and Shah Alam. However, it is nearer to Shah Alam than the town centre of Subang Jaya. Subang Hi-Tech Industrial Park in the suburb serve as one of the most major industrial estates in the Klang Valley as it is situated in between Kuala Lumpur, Shah Alam, Klang and Subang.

Putra Heights is a residential township in Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located within the mukim of Petaling District. The township is visible by the tall Bukit Cermin in Putra Heights.
