Zgornje Hoče (pronounced [ˈzɡóːɾnjɛ ˈxòːtʃɛ, - ˈxóː-]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Hoče–Slivnica in northeastern Slovenia. It lies at the eastern foothills of the Pohorje range south of Maribor. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.

Betnava Mansion (Slovene: Dvorec Betnava, German: Schloss Windenau) is a manorhouse located near the city of Maribor in northern Slovenia. A structure on the site is first mentioned in 1319, under the name Wintenaw. By the 16th century, it had grown into a fortified and moated renaissance manor. It passed through the hands of numerous owners, including the noble families of Herberstein, Khiessl, Auersperg, Ursini-Rosenberg, Szekely, Brandis. During their tenure, the counts Herberstein transformed it into a Protestant way-station, complete with chapel and cemetery. In 1863, Betnava became the summer residence of the bishops of Maribor and Lavant, having already been leased by the see for several decades. In 1784, the mansion was rebuilt in late-baroque Florentine style, after the fashion of Vienna at the time. The west wing contains a chapel dedicated to the Holy Cross, while other notable features include a carved staircase leading to the main hall, itself decorated with late-baroque trompe-l'œil ceiling frescoes painted by an unknown artist c. 1780. The main facade faces a 19th-century English country park. The mansion's current owner is the archbishopric of Maribor, which was in 2011 cited by the Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage for failure to properly maintain the site and safeguard structures uncovered in an archeological dig.

Miranova proga A is a women's World Cup technical ski course in Slovenia, on Pohorje mountain in Radvanje District, Maribor hostin Golden Fox (Zlata lisica) competition since 1978.Part of Mariborsko Pohorje Ski Resort, the largest ski course in Slovenia, the slope is divided on upper part (GS start – Trikotna jasa) and lower part (SL start – Snow stadium finish). Not counting ski slopes in Scandinavia with very cold winters, this is the course with lowest finish elevation on the World Cup circuit, at 325 metres (1,066 ft) above sea level.

Čreta (pronounced [ˈtʃɾeːta]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Hoče–Slivnica in northeastern Slovenia. It lies in the eastern foothills of the Pohorje Hills south of Maribor. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.An Iron Age and Roman-period hill fort with its associated burial ground with around 35 burial mounds have been identified near the settlement.

Maribor Pohorje Ski Resort (Slovene: Smučišče Mariborsko Pohorje) is the largest ski resort in Slovenia, located just south of Maribor, at the mountain range of Pohorje in Lower Styria. The resort consists of three sections: lower section "Snow Stadium," middle section "Bolfenk" and an upper section called "Areh". The resort as a whole offers 42 km (26 miles) of north-facing ski slopes, 27 km (17 mi) of cross-country skiing, and 10 km (6 mi) of night skiing. It is best known for its "Golden Fox" competition, women's World Cup races in giant slalom and slalom, held since 1964.
