Spodnje Hoče

Bohova (pronounced [bɔˈxɔːʋa]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Hoče–Slivnica south of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.

The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.The local church is dedicated to Saint Leonard and belongs to the Parish of Hoče. It was built in 1642. Hompoš Castle is a castle just north of the settlement. It was first mentioned in written documents dating to the 12th century and has had numerous rebuildings and adaptations over the centuries.

It lies under the eastern Pohorje Hills on the edge of the flatlands on the right bank of the Drava River south of Maribor. The A1 Motorway runs through the settlement and a major interchange with the A4 motorway is located just north of the settlement. The area is part of the traditional region of Lower Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.The local parish church is dedicated to the Nativity of Mary (Slovene: Marijino Rojstvo) and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maribor. It has a Romanesque nave dating to the 11th century and an early 16th-century Gothic sanctuary and belfry.

The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.An Iron Age and Roman-period hill fort with its associated burial ground with around 35 burial mounds have been identified near the settlement.

Betnava Mansion (Slovene: Dvorec Betnava, German: Schloss Windenau) is a manorhouse located near the city of Maribor in northern Slovenia. A structure on the site is first mentioned in 1319, under the name Wintenaw. By the 16th century, it had grown into a fortified and moated renaissance manor. It passed through the hands of numerous owners, including the noble families of Herberstein, Khiessl, Auersperg, Ursini-Rosenberg, Szekely, Brandis. During their tenure, the counts Herberstein transformed it into a Protestant way-station, complete with chapel and cemetery. In 1863, Betnava became the summer residence of the bishops of Maribor and Lavant, having already been leased by the see for several decades. In 1784, the mansion was rebuilt in late-baroque Florentine style, after the fashion of Vienna at the time. The west wing contains a chapel dedicated to the Holy Cross, while other notable features include a carved staircase leading to the main hall, itself decorated with late-baroque trompe-l'œil ceiling frescoes painted by an unknown artist c. 1780. The main facade faces a 19th-century English country park. The mansion's current owner is the archbishopric of Maribor, which was in 2011 cited by the Agency for the Protection of Cultural Heritage for failure to properly maintain the site and safeguard structures uncovered in an archeological dig.

Orehova Vas (pronounced [ɔˈɾeːxɔʋa ˈʋaːs]; Slovene: Orehova vas) is a settlement in the Municipality of Hoče–Slivnica in northeastern Slovenia. It lies on the edge of the flatlands on the right bank of the Drava River south of Maribor. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.A chapel-shrine in the village dates to the early 20th century.The terminal building and much of the runway of Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport is located at Orehova Vas.

Rogoza (pronounced [ɾɔˈɡoːza]) is a settlement in the Municipality of Hoče-Slivnica in northeastern Slovenia. It lies on the flatlands on the right bank of the Drava River between Spodnje Hoče and Miklavž na Dravskem Polju. The area is part of the traditional region of Styria. The municipality is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.After the Second World War, a Yugoslav labor camp for political prisoners operated in Rogoza.In 1998 and 1999, during the preparations for the construction of the Maribor eastern bypass section of the A1 Motorway that runs just west of the settlement, Bronze Age and Iron Age sites were identified near the settlement.

The Tezno District (pronounced [ˈteːznɔ]; Slovene: Mestna četrt Tezno, German: Thesen) is a city district of the City Municipality of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. In 2014, the district had a population of 11,732. After World War II, a large trench in Tezno became a major mass grave, which was later investigated by the Commission on Concealed Mass Graves in Slovenia.
