Krzeszowice [kʂɛʂɔˈvʲit͡sɛ] (German: 1941-45 Kressendorf) is a town in southern Poland, situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. As of 2004, its population was 9,993. Krzeszowice belongs to Kraków Metropolitan Area, and lies 25 kilometers west of the center of the city of Kraków. The town has a rail station, on a major route from Kraków to Katowice, and lies along National Road Nr. 79, which goes from Warsaw to Bytom. In 1928–1966 the town had the status of a spa. Krzeszowice has a sports club called Świt, founded in 1923. Krzeszowice is located in southern part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, with numerous caves and valleys in the area. In 1981, when the Complex of Jura Landscape Parks was created, three parks from the gmina of Krzeszowice were added to it (Rudnia Landscape Park, Tenczynek Landscape Park and Kraków Valleys Landscape Park). In 2008, it was selected with 19 villages of Europe - Germany, Poland, Italy and Spain - for the Spanish documentary film "Villages of Europe" Pueblos de Europa, produced by Juan Frutos.

Gmina Krzeszowice is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the town of Krzeszowice, which lies approximately 24 kilometres (15 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków. The gmina covers an area of 139.37 square kilometres (53.8 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 31,418 (out of which the population of Krzeszowice amounts to 9,942, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 21,476). The gmina contains part of the protected area called Kraków Valleys Landscape Park.

Tenczynek Landscape Park (Tenczyński Park Krajobrazowy) is a protected area (a Landscape Park) in southern Poland, established in 1981, and covering an area of 117.47 square kilometres (45.36 sq mi).The Park lies within Lesser Poland Voivodeship: in Chrzanów County (Gmina Chrzanów, Gmina Alwernia, Gmina Babice, Gmina Trzebinia) and Kraków County (Gmina Krzeszowice, Gmina Liszki, Gmina Wielka Wieś, Gmina Zabierzów). It takes its name from the village of Tenczynek in Gmina Krzeszowice. Within the Landscape Park are five nature reserves. About 35% of the park's area is covered by forests. Carpathian beech forests, mixed pine and oak forests, alder riparian forests and broadleaved forests with a predominance of beech, oak and sycamore grow here. Pine forests dominate in the area of the Dulowska Primeval Forest. Protected plant species can be found here: rolling hen-and-chicks, monkshood, ivy, martagon lily, sweet woodruff, goat's beard, round-leaved sundew, dwarf periwinkle and giant horsetail; and animals: moose, Eurasian sparrowhawk, barn owl, common buzzard, northern lapwing, corn crake and European pond turtle.

Rudno [ˈrudnɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krzeszowice, within Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Krzeszowice and 26 km (16 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.

Wola Filipowska [ˈvɔla filiˈpɔfska] is a village in Poland in Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship. In the years 1975-1998 it was in Kraków Voivodeship. Wola Filipowska is a small village on the road from Kraków to Trzebinia and is located by the Dulówka river. Religions: Roman Catholicism (The Church), Jehovah's Witnesses (1%).

Tenczyn Castle, also known as Tęczyn Castle, is a medieval castle in the village of Rudno in the Polish Jura, Poland. It was built as a seat of the powerful Tęczyński family. The castle fell into disrepair during the Deluge in mid-17th century, after being pillaged and burned by Swedish-Brandenburgian forces looking for the Polish Crown Jewels and rumored treasures of the Tęczyński family. Subsequently rebuilt, it again fell into disrepair after a major fire in the mid-18th century and remains in that state to this day. The castle stands on the remnants of a Permian period lava stream, the highest hill of Garb Tenczyński (Castle Hill), which is 411 m above the sea level.

Sanka [ˈsaŋka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krzeszowice, within Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south of Krzeszowice and 21 km (13 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.

Frywałd [ˈfrɨvau̯t] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krzeszowice, within Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) south-east of Krzeszowice and 20 km (12 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.

Poręba Żegoty [pɔˈrɛmba ʐɛˈɡɔtɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Alwernia, within Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Alwernia, 15 km (9 mi) south-east of Chrzanów, and 27 km (17 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.
