Tenczyn Castle, also known as Tęczyn Castle, is a medieval castle in the village of Rudno in the Polish Jura, Poland. It was built as a seat of the powerful Tęczyński family. The castle fell into disrepair during the Deluge in mid-17th century, after being pillaged and burned by Swedish-Brandenburgian forces looking for the Polish Crown Jewels and rumored treasures of the Tęczyński family. Subsequently rebuilt, it again fell into disrepair after a major fire in the mid-18th century and remains in that state to this day. The castle stands on the remnants of a Permian period lava stream, the highest hill of Garb Tenczyński (Castle Hill), which is 411 m above the sea level.

Rudno [ˈrudnɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krzeszowice, within Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Krzeszowice and 26 km (16 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.

Tenczynek (pronounce: [tɛnˈt͡ʂɨnɛk]) is a small village in southern Poland, situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in Gmina Krzeszowice, about 25 km west of the city of Kraków. It gives its name to the protected area called Tenczynek Landscape Park.

Krzeszowice [kʂɛʂɔˈvʲit͡sɛ] (German: 1941-45 Kressendorf) is a town in southern Poland, situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. As of 2004, its population was 9,993. Krzeszowice belongs to Kraków Metropolitan Area, and lies 25 kilometers west of the center of the city of Kraków. The town has a rail station, on a major route from Kraków to Katowice, and lies along National Road Nr. 79, which goes from Warsaw to Bytom. In 1928–1966 the town had the status of a spa. Krzeszowice has a sports club called Świt, founded in 1923. Krzeszowice is located in southern part of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, with numerous caves and valleys in the area. In 1981, when the Complex of Jura Landscape Parks was created, three parks from the gmina of Krzeszowice were added to it (Rudnia Landscape Park, Tenczynek Landscape Park and Kraków Valleys Landscape Park). In 2008, it was selected with 19 villages of Europe - Germany, Poland, Italy and Spain - for the Spanish documentary film "Villages of Europe" Pueblos de Europa, produced by Juan Frutos.

Gmina Krzeszowice is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the town of Krzeszowice, which lies approximately 24 kilometres (15 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków. The gmina covers an area of 139.37 square kilometres (53.8 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 31,418 (out of which the population of Krzeszowice amounts to 9,942, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 21,476). The gmina contains part of the protected area called Kraków Valleys Landscape Park.

Nowa Góra-Łany [ˈnɔva ˈɡura ˈwanɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Krzeszowice, within Kraków County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. Between 1975 and 1988 it was in Kraków Voivodeship.

It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Alwernia, 13 km (8 mi) south-east of Chrzanów, and 28 km (17 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.

It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-west of Krzeszowice and 30 km (19 mi) north-west of the regional capital Kraków. The village is located in the historical region Galicia.

Psary [ˈpsarɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Trzebinia, within Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Trzebinia, 11 km (7 mi) north-east of Chrzanów, and 32 km (20 mi) north-west of the regional capital Kraków. The village had a population of 1,439 at 2009.

Poręba Żegoty [pɔˈrɛmba ʐɛˈɡɔtɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Alwernia, within Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) east of Alwernia, 15 km (9 mi) south-east of Chrzanów, and 27 km (17 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.
