Grojec [ˈɡrɔjɛt͡s] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Alwernia, within Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north-east of Alwernia, 13 km (8 mi) south-east of Chrzanów, and 28 km (17 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.

The Vistulan Boulevards are historical hydraulic boulevards used for flood management in Kraków, Poland. The boulevards are structured from retaining walls (an upper, high and lower which is used to channel the river channel), allowing the boulevards to perform a river port function. The nineteenth- and twentieth-century boulevards are used for flood management, namely during the floods of 1970, 1997, and 2010.The boulevards around the river channel of the Vistula and the Rudawa are part of an area of parkland, being a popular recreational area for Cracovians and tourists alike. The boulevards are pedestrianised, with bicycle routes.

Brodła [ˈbrɔdwa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Alwernia, within Chrzanów County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 7 kilometres (4 mi) east of Alwernia, 18 km (11 mi) south-east of Chrzanów, and 25 km (16 mi) west of the regional capital Kraków.In 1595, the village located in the Poviat of the Kraków Province was owned by Aleksander Myszkowski. In the years 1975-1998 the town was located in the Krakow province. In the village there is a historic figure of Saint. John of Nepomuk from 1783 made in the Baroque style. In Brodła, there is a Mass Chapel named after Heart of Jesus. To the north of the center of the village is the Prześnice hill.

Tenczyn Castle, also known as Tęczyn Castle, is a medieval castle in the village of Rudno in the Polish Jura, Poland. It was built as a seat of the powerful Tęczyński family. The castle fell into disrepair during the Deluge in mid-17th century, after being pillaged and burned by Swedish-Brandenburgian forces looking for the Polish Crown Jewels and rumored treasures of the Tęczyński family. Subsequently rebuilt, it again fell into disrepair after a major fire in the mid-18th century and remains in that state to this day. The castle stands on the remnants of a Permian period lava stream, the highest hill of Garb Tenczyński (Castle Hill), which is 411 m above the sea level.

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków (MOCAK), (Polish: Muzeum Sztuki Współczesnej w Krakowie), is a contemporary art gallery in Kraków, Poland that opened on 19 May 2011. Situated 3 kilometres from the centre of the city, on a demolished part of the factory of Oskar Schindler, the aim of the gallery is to present and support contemporary art and artists, in particular art from the last two decades.The Museum includes a library, bookshop, café and contemporary art conservation laboratory. The museum houses works by such artists as AES+F, Krzysztof Wodiczko, Beat Streuli, Ragnar Kjartansson, Robert Kuśmirowski, Tomasz Bajer, Krištof Kintera, Maria Stangret, and Edward Dwurnik. The permanent exhibition is located on the first floor of the building and temporary exhibitions are displayed on the second floor.The building of the museum was designed by Claudio Nardi and it was inspired by neomodern architecture. The exhibition area is divided into several sections and covers the area of 4,000 square metres while the area of the whole museum covers 10,000 square metres. The cost of the museum is estimated at 70 million PLN (ca. €16 million) and its construction was co-financed from the European Union funds.

The gmina covers an area of 75.27 square kilometres (29.1 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 12,689 (of which the population of Alwernia is 3,406, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 9,283). The gmina contains part of the protected area called Tenczynek Landscape Park.
