Dove Lake is a reservoir in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was created by damming Mill Creek. Dove Lake was the setting of the 1885 painting The Swimming Hole by Thomas Eakins. Dove Lake is on a privately owned property in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne.

The Henry Foundation for Botanical Research is a nonprofit botanical garden of 50 acres located in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania at 801 Stony Lane, Gladwyne. The garden was established in 1948 by botanist and plant explorer Mary Gibson Henry (1884-1967) for plants that she collected through remote areas of the West, Midwest, and Southeast United States. The garden has been maintained by the Foundation since 1950.Today the garden contains scenic plantings, gardens, and trails for walking and horseback riding set among steep hills along Rock Creek, near the Schuylkill River. It also contains 15 taxa of native magnolias, in a program established under the auspices of the North American Plant Collections Consortium (NAPCC) to help broaden the genetic diversity of organized botanical collections.

Gladwyne is a suburban community in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States along the historic Philadelphia Main Line. In 2018, Gladwyne was ranked the 6th richest ZIP code (using 2015 IRS data) in the country in a study by Bloomberg BusinessWeek. The population was 4,071 at the 2010 US census. As Gladwyne is neither an incorporated area nor a census-designated place, all data are for the ZIP code 19035, with which the community is coterminous. There are four churches, a synagogue, a library, two schools, the Gladwyne fire company, the Gladwyne Civic Association, the Stony Lane Swim Club, playgrounds, parks, businesses, and retail shops within the confines of Gladwyne. The historic Guard House Inn is also located within Gladwyne. The village is also home to the Philadelphia Country Club on its periphery, Merion Cricket Club, and to The Courts, a private tennis club. Because the town was early to preserve space and has received many donations of land, developers have not subdivided the area into more typical suburban developments, so the area retains a mixture of farm, colonial town, and late 19th/early 20th housing uncharacteristic of other Main Line communities. Banker James Crosby Brown of Brown Brothers & Co. built a 185-acre (0.75 km2) estate that later was divided into non-divisible (deed-restricted) lots of three to 17 acres (6.9 ha), an early act of (partial) preservation that set an important precedent for future acts by both individuals and the township. The Lower Merion Conservancy plays a significant role in protecting the local heritage and maintains its office in Gladwyne's Rolling Hill Park.

Gladwyne Historic District is a national historic district located at Gladwyne in Lower Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 57 contributing buildings in the historic core of Gladwyne known as "Merion Square." It includes mainly mill or farm workers' dwelling. They are predominantly 2 1/2-story, two bay stuccoed stone structures dated to the early- to mid-19th century. Notable buildings include the Guard House Inn, "War Office" (1798), and Gladwyne Library.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Mill Creek Historic District near Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne, Pennsylvania is a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 10, 1980. The area of the historic district was increased on August 30, 1996.The area is roughly bounded by the Schuylkill River, Mill Creek, Righter's Mill, Rose Glen, and Monk's Rds.

Dolobran is a Shingle Style house at 231 Laurel Lane in Haverford, Pennsylvania. It was designed by architect Frank Furness for shipping magnate Clement Griscom in 1881, and was expanded at least twice by Furness.: 228  The house and 146-acre (59 hectare) estate served as a summer retreat for Griscom, his wife, and five children.: 229 It was named for Dolobran, the Welsh manor and estate of Griscom's ancestors.

La Ronda was a mansion and estate in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania from 1929 to 2009. It was originally the home of Percival E. Foerderer, who ran a leather-manufacturing business, and his wife Ethel Brown. The 17,500-square-foot (1,630 m2) Main Line mansion was the last commission by the renowned early 20th century architect Addison Mizner based in Palm Beach, Florida. The residence was built by J.S. Cornell & Son.

Harriton House, originally known as Bryn Mawr, is a historic house on Pennsylvania's Main Line, most famously the residence of Charles Thomson, the secretary of the Continental Congress. It was originally built in 1704 by Rowland Ellis, a Welsh Quaker, and was called Bryn Mawr, meaning high hill. The modern town of Bryn Mawr is named after the house, and the National Register of Historic Places has it listed under the original name. It was originally built as a T-shaped, two-story fieldstone dwelling with a gable roof. The original front section is approximately 37 feet wide and 22 feet deep and the rear extension is approximately 18 feet wide and 23 feet deep. A one-story brick kitchen was added to the end of the rear extension. The house was renovated in 1911 and major additions were made in 1926.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Harriton is an informal designation given to the northwestern portion of Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania. Located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, it is one of the wealthiest areas in the state. Harriton contains the community of Gladwyne, and also the northeastern portions of Villanova, Rosemont, and Bryn Mawr. It is located just to the north of the SEPTA R5 line and forms a portion of the Main Line suburbs.

The Pennsylvania Lawn Tennis Championships was a tennis tournament played at the Merion Cricket Club in Haverford, Pennsylvania. The first edition was held in 1894. It was part of the Eastern Grass Court Circuit, a series of grass court tournaments on the American Eastern Seaboard in the lead up to the U. S. National Championships which also included Rye/South Orange, Meadow Club, Newport Casino, and others. The men's events were part of the Grand Prix tennis circuit from 1970–1974, before which they were amateur events. They were held on outdoor hard courts from 1970–72 and grass courts from 1973–1974.

Merion Cricket Club is a private club in Haverford, Pennsylvania, founded in 1865. The current clubhouse is its sixth, the last four having been designed by Philadelphia architect Frank Furness and his partner, Allen Evans, who was also a founder of the club. The club was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987 for its leading role in the promotion, development and continued support of cricket, golf, squash, and tennis in the United States.

Bryn Mawr Campus Arboretum (135 acres) is an arboretum located across the campus of Bryn Mawr College, 101 North Merion Avenue, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. It is open daily without charge. The campus was first designed by Calvert Vaux (1824-1895), with a final design drawn up in 1884. Very little of this design was ever implemented, however. Noted landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted visited the college in 1895, and in 1897 drew up a general plan incorporating Vaux's earlier work in collaboration with his nephew and partner, John C. Olmsted (1852-1920). This plan was generally followed over the next few decades, though it then gave way to newer plans.
