Wieden (German pronunciation: [ˈviːdn̩] (listen); Central Bavarian: Wiedn) is the 4th municipal district of Vienna, Austria (German: 4. Bezirk). It is near the centre of Vienna and was established as a district in 1850, but its borders were changed later. Wieden is a small region near the city centre. After World War II, Wieden was part of the Soviet sector of Vienna for 10 years.

The Palais Apponyi is a palatial building in the district of Wieden in Vienna, Austria. Its address is Johann-Strauss-Gasse 7. It was built in 1880 on plans from Viktor Rumpelmayer for Countess Margarita Apponyi, wife of Count Lajos Apponyi. It is now the seat of Burschenschaft Albia, an academic fraternity.

The Sir-Karl-Popper-Schule is an integral part of a public secondary school named Wiedner Gymnasium located in the 4th district of Vienna. It is a special branch with federally granted experimental status for highly gifted pupils comprising grades 9 to 12. There are two classes per year with 24 pupils in each. Admittance is mainly based on the results of internationally acknowledged test methods conducted by an external institution. The school is also known for its academic success, producing many recent winners of Maths and Science Competitions.

Wien Matzleinsdorfer Platz is a commuter rail station in Favoriten, Vienna. The station is served by S-Bahn trains and regional trains that use the trunk line. The station was opened in 1969 above Matzleinsdorfer Platz. Connections are available to tram and bus services. Vienna's first moving sidewalk was opened here to connect the station to the nearby underground tram station. The station closed temporarily on the 27th March 2021 as part of the extension of the U2 underground line. The renovation works are expected to be completed in April 2022.

Margareten (German pronunciation: [ˌmaʁɡaˈʁeːtn̩] (listen); Bavarian: Magredn) is the fifth district of Vienna (German: 5. Bezirk, Margareten). It is near the old town of Vienna and was established as a district in 1850, but borders changed later. Margareten is a residential urban area, with over 25,000 inhabitants per km2, one of the most densely populated districts in Vienna.

PEF Private University of Management was a private university in Vienna, Austria. It had been accredited by the Austrian Accreditation Council in June 2002. It concentrated on master's programmes in the areas of social and economic science. In 2007, the university was re-accredited until 2014, but closed for economic reasons in March 2012. The Prayner Conservatory of Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna licensed by the Austrian authorities founded in 1905, and has developed into one of the most well-known and historical conservatories in the city of Vienna.This conservatory has been permanently closed since June 2020. The below is no longer valid. Currently the conservatory offers undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate degrees as well as offering adult education and pre-college education. Students of all levels can take voice or instrumental lessons, and have the opportunity to perform in the orchestra or choir. At the end of the study at Prayner Conservatory the students graduate an internationally recognized Austrian "Artistic Diploma" in the following by the Austrian authorities licensed fields of study: Piano, Singing, Violin, Violoncello, Viola, Double-Bass, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Trumped, Trombone, Horn, Tuba, Guitar, Harp, Accordion, Percussion Instruments as well as for Composition, Conducting, Accompanying classes, Chamber Music, Opera, and Orchestra Repertoire. Conservatory's Center location includes two existing buildings on A-1040 Mühlgasse 28-30 and A-1060 Mariahilferstrasse 51 - with its historically significant facades and relatively sound structure. The Prayner Conservatory has more than a hundred teachers including Maksimiljan Cencic, Galina Mauracher (Gal Rasché), Dr. Massimo Stefanizzi, Dr. Giorgi Latso, Mag. Josef Stolz, Valbona Naku, Filimon Ginalis, Barbara Górzyńska, Alexandra Karastoyanova-Hermentin, Karin Reda, Ulf-Dieter Soyka, Gerald Smrzek, Victoria Loukianetz and Franz Zettl.

The Dritte Mann Museum (Third Man Museum) is a film museum in the 4th district of Vienna, Austria. Opened in 2005, the museum has an area of over 400 square meters divided into 16 rooms, displaying a comprehensive collection of original exhibits based on and around the international film triumph The Third Man, directed by Carol Reed and based on a treatment by Graham Greene.The Third Man Museum is an independent two-person project, initiated by Gerhard Strassgschwandtner. He put together the collection, whilst the design and concept came from Karin Höfler. Specialists and generalists, they created the museum from scratch. It is a private museum with no sponsors and subsidies. The museum is aimed for film fans and contains collections on the history of pre- and post-war Vienna. An exhibition within the museum explains the historical backdrop of the film and portrays the everyday life of a city occupied by the Allies (Americans, British, Soviets and French) between 1945 and 1955, and includes many original documents from the period.

Pilgramgasse is a station on the Vienna U-Bahn line U4. It is located in Margareten between Ramperstorffergasse and the eponymous street, which is named after Franz Anton Pilgram (1699–1761), an Austrian Baroque architect. The station is in an open cut parallel to the River Wien and curves to match the curve of the river.

Theresianum (or Theresian Academy; German: Theresianische Akademie) is a private boarding and day school governed by the laws for public schools in Vienna, Austria. It was founded in 1746 by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria.
