Pilgramgasse station

The Wienzeile ('Vienna Row') is a street in Vienna, which originated in the course of the regulation of the Vienna River between 1899 and 1905 along the river's banks. It is divided into the Rechte Wienzeile (Right Vienna Row) and the Linke Wienzeile (Left Vienna Row): The Rechte Wienzeile runs through the Viennese districts of Wieden, Margareten, and Meidling and is so named after its position on the right bank of the Vienna River. The Linke Wienzeile, located on the left bank of the Vienna River, runs through the Viennese districts of Mariahilf and Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus.Before the regulation of the Vienna River, the Rechte Wienzeile was called Wienstraße in the fourth district, Flussgasse in the fifth district, An der Wien, and Wienstraße. The Linke Wienzeile had various names in the sixth district, first Am Wienufer as well as Ufergasse, later Magdalenenstraße and Wienstraße. The U-Bahn line U4 runs along the entirety of the Wienzeile's length on the stretch of the former Wiener Stadtbahn. The Wienzeile has a strong architectural presence in the form of Otto Wagner's Jugendstil building in the vicinity of the Naschmarkt. In the outer districts of Hietzing and Penzing, the extended Wienzeile is called Hietzinger Kai as well as Hadikgasse.

The Haus des Meeres (HdM, English: House of the Sea) is a public aquarium in Vienna, Austria. It is located in Esterhazy Park in downtown Mariahilf district, one block south of the busy Mariahilfer Straße. The Haus des Meeres houses over ten thousand aquatic beings on an area of around 4,000 square meters (43,000 sq ft) inside a tall concrete flak tower built during World War II. In 2012 the Haus des Meeres attracted a record high of 650,000 visitors. The Haus des Meeres is managed by Aqua Terra Zoo, a private non-profit organization which, according to its web site, receives only marginal financial support from municipal authorities. However, the maintenance costs for the former flak tower are paid by the taxpayer.

Kettenbrückengasse is a station on U4 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Margareten District. It opened on the Wiener Stadtbahn in 1899 and became an U-Bahn station in 1980.

Mariahilf (German pronunciation: [ˌmaʀiaˈhɪlf] (listen); Central Bavarian: Mariahüf) is the 6th municipal district of Vienna, Austria (German: 6. Bezirk). It is near the center of Vienna and was established as a district in 1850. Mariahilf is a heavily populated urban area with many residential buildings. It has a population of 31,621 (as of 2016-01-01) within an area of 1.48 square kilometres (0.6 sq mi).

Margareten (German pronunciation: [ˌmaʁɡaˈʁeːtn̩] (listen); Bavarian: Magredn) is the fifth district of Vienna (German: 5. Bezirk, Margareten). It is near the old town of Vienna and was established as a district in 1850, but borders changed later. Margareten is a residential urban area, with over 25,000 inhabitants per km2, one of the most densely populated districts in Vienna.

The Österreichische Mediathek ("Austrian Mediathek") is the Austrian archive for sound recordings and videos on cultural and contemporary history. It was founded in 1960 as Österreichische Phonothek (Austrian Phonothek) by the Ministry of Education and has been a branch of the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Technical Museum) since 2001. As video and sound archive, the Österreichische Mediathek is responsible for the preservation of the Austrian audio-visual cultural heritage (with the exception of film on photographic carrier material and photography).

The Church of Mariahilf is a Baroque parish church and the church of the Congregation of Saint Michael the Archangel (Congregatio Sancti Michaëlis Archangeli) in Vienna. It is located in Vienna's 6th district (Mariahilf). The parish church of Mariahilf was built by Sebastiano Carlone in 1686–1689, but redesigned by Franz Jänggl (1711–1715).

Neubaugasse is a station on U3 of the Vienna U-Bahn. It is located in the Neubau District. It opened in 1993. In this station, the two platforms are not on the same level: the platform for trains bound for Simmering is above, and the platform for trains bound for Ottakring is below.

The Café Savoy (formerly Café Wienzeile) is a Viennese coffee house and gay bar on the left bank of the Wien river (Linke Wienzeile) in Mariahilf district. It was opened in 1896.The building itself was designed and built by the architect Franz von Neumann in 1896 and 1897, commissioned by textile manufacturer Julius Léon von Wernburg, who bought the property in 1889. The café moved into the majority of the floor at street level. In the beginning, it carried the name Café Wienzeile, based on its location, and was owned by the Kuszak family, who also operated coffee houses in Prague and Budapest. The architectural style is palatial and the café features two mirrors advertised to be Europe′s largest mirrors formed from one piece after the ones in Palace of Versailles, as well as a chandelier by Theophil von Hansen.The coffee house was renamed to Café Savoy in 1983 and downsized to just over a third of the ground level and was renovated in 2008 and 2009.

Wieden (German pronunciation: [ˈviːdn̩] (listen); Central Bavarian: Wiedn) is the 4th municipal district of Vienna, Austria (German: 4. Bezirk). It is near the centre of Vienna and was established as a district in 1850, but its borders were changed later. Wieden is a small region near the city centre. After World War II, Wieden was part of the Soviet sector of Vienna for 10 years.

Hundsturm was an independent municipality (Gemeinde) of Austria until 1850 and is today a suburb of Vienna the city's 5th District, Margareten. The Hundsturm coat of arms shows, on a blue background, a castle tower on a green meadow. From the open door of the golden tower jumps a dog.

The Fillgraderstiege is a staircase in the sixth district of Vienna, Mariahilf. It was built from 1905 to 1907 and designed by Max Hegele, a student of Victor Luntz and Carl Hasenauer, in an Art Nouveau style to connect the two streets, Fillgradergasse and Theobaldgasse. The stairs were blocked off in 1981, having been worn down for almost 80 years, and were then repaired between 1982 and 1984, in the process of which a café and art gallery were added in a previously unused inner room behind the stairs, both of which opened on the 1 August 1985. The Fillgraderstiege staircase was named the fourth most beautiful steps in Europe in a 2004 poll of European art professors .
