Philemon Russell House

The Lawrence Soule House is an historic house at 11 Russell Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick building, with asymmetrical massing typical of the Queen Anne period. Surface texture is varied by different types of brick patterning, and there are a variety of gables, projections, and irregularly placed chimneys. It was built in 1879 for Lawrence Porter Soule to a design by Frank Maynard Howe, an apprentice at the firm of Ware & Van Brunt. The building received immediate notice in the architectural press, and is a rare architect-designed house in North Cambridge.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Henderson Carriage Repository is a historic building at 2067-2089 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Located just outside Porter Square, the five story brick building was built in 1892 by the Henderson family of carriage makers, to a design by Charles Park. The building was primarily used as a storage facility for carriages, with its upper floors holding as many as 2000. It has since been converted for use as offices and retail businesses. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.In 2013, after 40 years of the family's ownership, Evangelos Nichols sold the Rosebud to Martin Bloom. Bloom, the founder of a chain of Italian restaurants called Vinny Testa's and owner of the Mission Oak Grill, promised to leave the exterior untouched.

Watson's Corner is the historical name for an intersection in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at the corner of Rindge Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue. It was part of a wider area called Watson's Plain in colonial and Revolutionary War times and well into the 19th century.Watson's Corner gained notability on account of a skirmish that occurred there on April 19, 1775 in connection with the Battles of Lexington and Concord. A marker at 2154 Massachusetts Avenue commemorates the skirmish. An account of this event from the Cambridge city website describes the scene thus: At Watson’s Corner (the present intersection of Rindge and Massachusetts avenues) Cambridge patriots lay in wait behind a pile of barrels, but were surprised by flanking redcoats. John Hicks and Moses Richardson of Cambridge and Isaac Gardner of Brookline were killed, as was William Marcy, a "simple-minded youth" who thought he was watching a parade.

The Richardsonian Romanesque building was built in 1888–89 to a design by Henry M. Congdon. The church was built on the site of the Davenport Tavern, a landmark that had stood on that site since c. 1757 (a portion of which was relocated to Somerville, where it still stands).The church building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The two story Second Empire house was built c. 1870; its second owner was Eugene Lacount, an American Civil War veteran. The house's mansard roof is pierced by recessed dormers with segmented arch dormers. The cornices of the roof, projecting bay tops, and front porch are all studded with modillions, and the front porch features turned posts with decorative brackets.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
