The Lawrence Soule House is an historic house at 11 Russell Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick building, with asymmetrical massing typical of the Queen Anne period. Surface texture is varied by different types of brick patterning, and there are a variety of gables, projections, and irregularly placed chimneys. It was built in 1879 for Lawrence Porter Soule to a design by Frank Maynard Howe, an apprentice at the firm of Ware & Van Brunt. The building received immediate notice in the architectural press, and is a rare architect-designed house in North Cambridge.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Philemon Russell House is a historic house in Somerville, Massachusetts. Philemon Robbins Russell was a farmer who owned 50 acres (20 ha) of apple orchards near Russell Street. This land was converted to house lots for development by Captain Gilman Sargent in 1845 creating Orchard Street, Russell Street and Cottage Place. His house, built 1845, is one of the best-preserved side-hall Greek Revival farmhouses in the city. It was moved to the current location from somewhere else. According to the Somerville Journal, page 6, a fire occurred that badly damaged the upper portion of the house. The cause was a mystery and the estimated damage was $2,000. The Boston Daily Globe reported the first took place on On February 26, 1905. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Watson's Corner is the historical name for an intersection in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at the corner of Rindge Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue. It was part of a wider area called Watson's Plain in colonial and Revolutionary War times and well into the 19th century.Watson's Corner gained notability on account of a skirmish that occurred there on April 19, 1775 in connection with the Battles of Lexington and Concord. A marker at 2154 Massachusetts Avenue commemorates the skirmish. An account of this event from the Cambridge city website describes the scene thus: At Watson’s Corner (the present intersection of Rindge and Massachusetts avenues) Cambridge patriots lay in wait behind a pile of barrels, but were surprised by flanking redcoats. John Hicks and Moses Richardson of Cambridge and Isaac Gardner of Brookline were killed, as was William Marcy, a "simple-minded youth" who thought he was watching a parade.

St. James's Episcopal Church is an historic Episcopal church at 1991 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The parish was founded in 1864 as a mission from Christ Church. The Richardsonian Romanesque building was built in 1888–89 to a design by Henry M. Congdon. The church was built on the site of the Davenport Tavern, a landmark that had stood on that site since c. 1757 (a portion of which was relocated to Somerville, where it still stands).The church building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The John Winthrop Chambers, also known historically as the Brooks Apartments, is a historic apartment house at 78-80 Porter Road in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023. Built in 1915, it is a significant local example of residential Colonial Revival architecture, and an early example of the large courtyard-style apartment block in the Porter Square neighborhood of Cambridge. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

The Walden Street Cattle Pass, also referred to as the cow path, is an historic site adjacent to the MBTA Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line right-of-way, under the Walden Street Bridge in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994. The site, a tunnel for moving cattle between the railroad and the nearby stockyards of the 19th century, was built in 1857. The cattle yards were closed in 1868 or "about 1871", but the cattle trade continued; "until the 1920s, cows were unloaded here and driven down Massachusetts Avenue, through Harvard Square, and across the river to the Brighton Abattoir".Restoration (re-pointing) of the tunnel's brickwork was carried out during the 2007–08 replacement of the second-generation bridge dating from 1914. The third-generation bridge opened for traffic in December 2008. The Cambridge City Council discussed creation of a vantage point for viewing the tunnel, ca. 2008, but no action was taken.
