The M. Clinton Bacon House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Clifton Bacon House, is a historic house in Somerville, Massachusetts. Built in 1887, it is one of the city's finest examples of high-style Queen Anne Victorian architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Somerville Theatre is an independent movie theater and concert venue in the Davis Square neighborhood of Somerville, Massachusetts, United States. Over one hundred years old, the Somerville Theatre started off as a vaudeville house and movie theater. The theater has since transitioned and now operates as a live music venue and first-run movie theater. As a music venue, the theater has played host to many historic concerts, including the first of the two Last Dispatch concerts, two shows by Bruce Springsteen in 2003, and a performance by U2 in 2009. Recent live performances have included Ryan Adams & the Cardinals, Cursive, Norah Jones, The Jonas Brothers, Joan Baez, and the John Butler Trio. The building also hosts the Somerville branch of the Museum of Bad Art.

Davis station is an underground Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Red Line rapid transit station located at Davis Square in Somerville, Massachusetts. The accessible station has a single island platform for the Red Line, as well as a dedicated busway on the surface. It opened in 1984 as part of the Red Line Northwest Extension project.

Davis Square is a major intersection in the northwestern section of Somerville, Massachusetts where several streets meet: Holland Street, Dover Street, Day Street, Elm Street, Highland Avenue, and College Avenue. The name is often used to refer to the West Somerville neighborhood surrounding the square as well. Davis Square is located approximately four miles from downtown Boston, and two miles from mid-Cambridge. The square is served by the Davis Square Station, one of the stops on the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)'s Red Line. Davis abuts the Powder House Square, Magoun Square and Spring Hill neighborhoods, as well as Tufts University.Davis Square is today a vibrant commercial, retail, nightlife and dining district. Businesses in Davis range from stores to restaurants to even a martial arts school. Davis fell into decline after World War II. After the Red Line was extended to Davis in the mid-1980s, however, the area began to experience a prolonged renaissance.

The Davis Square statues, entitled Ten Figures, are life-sized cast concrete public sculpture, created by James Tyler, located in Davis Square, Somerville, Massachusetts at or near the Davis, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority subway station. The statues are mostly based on people who lived near Davis Square in the 1980s. In 1996 bronze "masks" were added to the sculptures to repair damage and deter future vandalism.

Watson's Corner is the historical name for an intersection in Cambridge, Massachusetts, at the corner of Rindge Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue. It was part of a wider area called Watson's Plain in colonial and Revolutionary War times and well into the 19th century.Watson's Corner gained notability on account of a skirmish that occurred there on April 19, 1775 in connection with the Battles of Lexington and Concord. A marker at 2154 Massachusetts Avenue commemorates the skirmish. An account of this event from the Cambridge city website describes the scene thus: At Watson’s Corner (the present intersection of Rindge and Massachusetts avenues) Cambridge patriots lay in wait behind a pile of barrels, but were surprised by flanking redcoats. John Hicks and Moses Richardson of Cambridge and Isaac Gardner of Brookline were killed, as was William Marcy, a "simple-minded youth" who thought he was watching a parade.

Rosebud is a historic diner at 381 Summer Street in Somerville, Massachusetts near Davis Square. The diner was built in 1941 by the Worcester Lunch Car Company for the Nichols and Perivolaris Families. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.In 2013, after 40 years of the family's ownership, Evangelos Nichols sold the Rosebud to Martin Bloom. Bloom, the founder of a chain of Italian restaurants called Vinny Testa's and owner of the Mission Oak Grill, promised to leave the exterior untouched.

The Philemon Russell House is a historic house in Somerville, Massachusetts. Philemon Robbins Russell was a farmer who owned 50 acres (20 ha) of apple orchards near Russell Street. This land was converted to house lots for development by Captain Gilman Sargent in 1845 creating Orchard Street, Russell Street and Cottage Place. His house, built 1845, is one of the best-preserved side-hall Greek Revival farmhouses in the city. It was moved to the current location from somewhere else. According to the Somerville Journal, page 6, a fire occurred that badly damaged the upper portion of the house. The cause was a mystery and the estimated damage was $2,000. The Boston Daily Globe reported the first took place on On February 26, 1905. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Isaac McLean House is an historic house at 2218 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The house was built in 1894 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. In 1894, Isaac McLean (a well-known Boston Accountant) engaged architects Hartwell and Richardson, and the 2218 Massachusetts Avenue (then known as North Avenue) property was built for his residence. The house was built on one of the lots then known as the Farwell Estate. A well-maintained Colonial Revival (one of the two dominant architectural styles during 1870–1920; the other being the Tudor Revival) graced by a wide porch across the entire front with classic fanlight (or transom) above the main entrance, as well as sidelights. One cannot help but notice the handsome pillars with Ionic capitals and ornamental balustrade as well as the dentils under the cornice, typical of this era. The Isaac McLean House, has been known for over 25 years as A Cambridge House Inn. This property, together with a handful of other Victorian homes represents architecture of historical significance. "This grouping of houses represents the sole remnant of what Massachusetts Avenue once was, the most prestigious Cambridge address for mid to late nineteenth century residential construction."

The Alpheus Mead House is a historic house located along Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States.
