Bloomingdale is a historic home located at Queenstown, Queen Anne's County, Maryland. It is a Federal style, 2+1⁄2-story, Flemish bond brick mansion. The main block measures approximately 51 feet long by 37 feet deep, and was built in 1792. A brick hyphen and wing are attached on the southeast.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Double School House Number 6 is a historic school house located in Queenstown, in Queen Anne's County, Maryland, United States. The double school house was built after a large fire in Queenstown. The property was purchased by school trustees James Masey and his wife, in 1834. As was common at the time, the building featured two separate entrances for boys and girls. In 1874, a larger school house was built on Del Rhodes Avenue, to serve the community of 250 residents. The school was moved to a new alignment and converted to a private residence in 1884.

Bowlingly (often spelled 'Bolingly'), also known as Neale's Residence and The Ferry House, is a historic home located at Queenstown, Queen Anne's County, Maryland, United States. It is a large brick dwelling house constructed in 1733 on a bluff overlooking Queenstown Creek. The original house is a two-story brick structure that is seven bays long and one room deep, with flush brick chimneys at either end of the pitched gable roof. On August 13, 1813, a flotilla of British Royal Navy warships landed at Bowlingly's wharf during the War of 1812. British troops who disembarked from the warships proceeded to sack the home before being engaging the local Maryland militia.The history of the property begins in September 1658 with a survey and then in January 1659 the Proprietor granted "James Bowling all that parcell of lands called Bowlingly lying ... on the east side of a creek in the said bay called Coursey's Creek, beginning at a marked cedar tree standing by a cove called Bowling's Cove". James Bowling was mainly active in Charles County, Maryland and probably never lived at this site. In 1664, he transferred the property "Bowlingsley in Talbot County" to William Calvert (son of Leonard Calvert) and his wife Elizabeth. Bowlingly was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

The station's transmitter is located in Grasonville/Queenstown, on Maryland's Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. It is a "Class A" radio station. WRHS mainly focuses on the Annapolis area, as well as the rest of Anne Arundel, Queen Anne's, and Talbot Counties, although the signal covers Baltimore, Annapolis, the eastern Washington, D.C., suburbs, and many other densely populated areas.

Carpenter Island (historical) is located on the southern end of the Chester River on Chesapeake Bay in Queen Anne's County, Maryland. It has been known as Carpenter Island or Carpenter's Island since the early 18th century. This small natural island once contained a fishing camp and a small house. The house was made from logs that had been washed ashore. Over time, the wakes of passing water craft and ships eroded the island into nothing more than a mud flat at low tide. It is still listed as an Island on USGS maps. It is also still listed as an Island of Maryland.A Carpenters Island in St. Mary's County, Maryland, was included in a list of "lost islands" of the Chesapeake Bay published in 2005.

Bachelor's Hope is a historic house in Centreville, Maryland. Built between 1798 and 1815, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Wye River is a 16.3-mile-long (26.2 km) tributary of the Chesapeake Bay, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It was named by the Lloyd family, Edward Lloyd (delegate), and Edward Lloyd (Governor of Maryland), after the River Wye in the United Kingdom. It falls within Queen Anne's County and Talbot County, and joins the Miles River near its mouth to the Eastern Bay. The river is popular with recreational boaters because of its secluded anchorages, fishing, crabbing and proximity to the tourist attractions of St. Michaels, Maryland. Like many rivers on the Chesapeake Bay, the Wye is largely tidal. The river's features include the 2,800-acre (11 km2) Wye Island, most of which is part of the Wye Island Natural Resources Management Area, managed by the Maryland Department of Natural Resources State Forest and Park Service. William Paca, the third governor of Maryland and a signatory to the Declaration of Independence, once owned the island. The nearby Aspen Institute Wye River Conference Centers (sections of which were formerly known as the "Wye River plantation") hosted the 1998 Mideast Peace talks attended by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat, and hosted by US President Bill Clinton that culminated in the Wye River Memorandum. The watershed also includes the Wye Research and Education Center, operated by the University of Maryland College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Maryland Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES). They conduct agricultural research and education, in cooperation with the nearby Aspen Institute Wye River Conference Centers. Elián González and his father stayed at the Wye River Plantation briefly in 2000.Water quality is threatened by development.

The Aspen Institute Wye River Conference Centers are a set executive-retreat facilities run by the Aspen Institute on a campus overlooking the Wye River on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The site, parts of which were once known as the Wye River Plantation, was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Houghton, Jr. in 1979. William Paca, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and third governor of Maryland, maintained his family estate here and a monument to his memory stands near the Houghton House. In 1998 the Conference Center was the site for negotiations between Israel and the Palestine Authority which resulted in the Wye River Memorandum. Since 1998, the Wye River Group on Healthcare has conducted policy meetings on retreat there. Famous residents of Wye River included the Chef Boyardee family, the Estate at Wye River ‘Penderyn’ hosted members of the state department during the Aspen accords. Elián González and his father stayed there briefly in 2000.

The census-designated place of Stevensville is the county's most populous place with population of 7,442 as of 2020. The county is named for Queen Anne of Great Britain, who reigned when the county was established in 1706 during the colonial period. Queen Anne's County is included in the Baltimore-Columbia-Towson, MD Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Washington-Baltimore-Arlington, DC-MD-VA-WV-PA Combined Statistical Area, and is the easternmost in both. Chesapeake Bay Bridge connects Kent Island in Queen Anne's County across Chesapeake Bay to Anne Arundel County. The American Discovery Trail runs through the county.

Reed's Creek Farm is a historic home located at Centreville, Queen Anne's County, Maryland, United States. It is a late Georgian style brick house reputedly begun in 1775. It is composed of two portions, the larger of the two being a five bay structure laid in Flemish bond.Reed's Creek Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
