Sismanogleio General Hospital (Γενικό Νοσοκομείο Σισμανόγλειο) in Vrilissia, Athens is one of the largest public hospitals in Greece. Its name in Katharevousa is Sismanogleion (Σισμανόγλειον). During the 2009 swine flu pandemic Seismanogleion treated the first swine flu patient in Greece.

The Emfietzoglou Gallery Museum is an art gallery in Athens, Greece. It is sited in Marousi near the Athens Metro station. Its founder Prodromos Emfietzoglou gave his private art collection of over 500 works to the public. These days the Emphietsoglou gallery offers a review of 750 works of modern Greek art including some of the best paintings from the last 200 years.

Vrilissia (Greek: Βριλήσσια) is a suburban town and a municipality of the North Athens regional unit, in the Attica region. It is located in the Athens basin, at the southwestern foot of the Penteli Mountain. At the 2011 census, the municipality had 30,741 residents.

Nea Penteli (Greek: Νέα Πεντέλη) is a small municipal unit - village in the northeastern part of the Athens agglomeration, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Penteli, of which it is a municipal unit.

Pentelis railway station (Greek: Σιδηροδρομικός Σταθμός Πεντέλης, romanized: Sidirodromikós Stathmós Pentélis) is a station located in the municipality of Vrilissia near the borders of the municipalities of Maroussi and Chalandri Greece. It was first opened on 21 February 2007 and is located in the median strip of Motorway 6, at the interchange of Pentelis Avenue, at the intersection of which with the railway line SKA - Athens International Airport has been built, from which the station is named. The station consists of an island platform and a train storage line.

Athmonum or Athmonon (Ancient Greek: Ἄθμονον), also Athmonia (Ἀθμονία), was a deme of ancient Attica, situated on the site of the Marousi (Amarousion). The name of the modern village has been derived from Amarysia, a surname of Artemis, who was worshipped under this designation at Athmonum. An inscription found near Marousi, in which the temenos of this goddess is mentioned, puts the matter beyond dispute. Athmonum also possessed a very ancient temple of Aphrodite Urania. The inhabitants of this deme appear to have been considered clever wine-dressers.

Gerakas (Greek: Γέρακας) is a town, a suburb of Athens and a former municipality in East Attica, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Pallini, of which it is the seat and a municipal unit.In antiquity Gerakas constituted the Athenian mesogeia deme of Gargettus, in the tribe of Aigeis, according to the administrative model of Cleisthenes. Today, it is a rapidly developing city of the northern mesogea and the eastern gate to the Athens basin. It is known as the birthplace of the famous philosopher Epicurus.The city is set at a significant place at the junction of Ymittos and Penteli foothills. The limits of Gerakas expand from Stavros up to the Koufos and Desi Hills, 12 km northeast of the centre of Athens and just 2 km west of Pallini. The city has a population of 29,939 residents (in 2011), covering a land area of 6.633 km2 and having a population density of 4,514 residents per km2. Gerakas can be seen at an elevation of 190 to 374 meters, giving the area both flat and mountainous characteristics.

The Spathario Shadow Theatre Museum is a museum in Maroussi, Athens, Greece. It exhibits mostly shadow puppet artifacts and it is named after prominent Greek puppet shadow artist Evgenios Spatharis. It was established in 1991 in the municipality of Maroussi and opened in 1996.

Doukissis Plakentias (Greek: Δουκίσσης Πλακεντίας), sometimes known simply as Plakentias, is an Athens Metro and Suburban Railway station situated at the end of Doukissis Plakentias Avenue in Chalandri, a municipality in the regional unit of North Athens, Attica, Greece. It is named after the Duchess of Plaisance, a philhellene who owned much of the land in the part of Attica where the station now stands. The metro station lies underground, while the Suburban Railway station lies within the median strip of the Attiki Odos motorway. The station is located within the administrative boundaries of the municipality of Chalandri near the settlement of Patima. The Transport for Athens-operated bus station allows access to the northeast suburbs of Athens, northern Mesogeia and East Attica. It is also the junction of Motorway 6 and the Hymettus ring road. In addition, it is used by the municipal transport services of Chalandri and Vrilissia. Private car parking, taxi and local bus services are also available.

The Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (Greek: Εθνική Επιτροπή Τηλεπικοινωνιών και Ταχυδρομείων, Ethniki Epitropi Tilepikoinonion kai Tachydromeion) or EETT is a Greek independent authority with administrative and financial autonomy. It acts as the National Regulatory Authority (NRA) in matters of provision of services and networks for electronic communications, related facilities and services, and postal services: Its operation is governed by articles 6 to 11 of Law 4070 (Government Gazette 82/A/2012). EETT regulates, supervises and monitors: The electronic communications market, which is primarily dominated by companies/providers of fixed and/or mobile telephony, wireless communications and Internet. The use of the radio frequency spectrum, having, inter alia, the competency to grant, revoke or restrict the usage rights for radio frequencies and the licensing of antenna constructions as well as matters relating to the conditions for placing on the market and use of radio equipment. The postal market, in which postal services providers operate. EETT also operates as competition commission, with all relevant powers and monitoring rights, for the implementation of the national and European legislation regarding competition in the above markets. In this context, EETT ensures the smooth operation of the markets, effectively addressing the risks of distorting competition and defending users’ rights.

Marousi (Greek: Μαρούσι), also known as Maroussi, is an Athens Metro station in Marousi, a northern suburb in Athens. The station is served by Line 1, and is 23.46 kilometres (14.58 miles) down the line from the southern terminus of Piraeus, between Nerantziotissa to the south and KAT to the north.The station is managed by STASY, and was rebuilt with step-free access as part of the renovation of Line 1 in 2004.
