Radio Slovenia International (RSi) is the international service of Slovenian state radio on FM, Internet and via satellite. RSi is one of the 3 foreign-language radio stations in Slovenia (the other two is the Hungarian-only Muravidéki Magyar Rádió, and Italian-only Radio Capodistria). Its broadcasts are in Slovene, German and English. RSi offers a mixture of musical and informative programmes 24 hours a day. 85% of the programme time is devoted to international and Slovene hits, and the remaining 15% is intended for political, business and economic, cultural, and sports information. The central programme elements are weather, traffic, cultural and sports information, as well as information on events taking place in Slovenia.

The Radvanje District (pronounced [ˈɾaːdʋanjɛ]; Slovene: Mestna četrt Radvanje) is a city district of the City Municipality of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. The district has a population of about 8,000.

The Studenci District (pronounced [stuˈdɛːntsi]; Slovene: Mestna četrt Studenci) is a city district of the City Municipality of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. Notable landmarks include the Carinthian Bridge, which crosses the Drava River.

General Maister Barracks (Slovene: Vojašnica generala Maistra) is a barracks of the Slovenian Armed Forces in Maribor, named after general Rudolf Maister. It is the location of one of two Slovenian infantry brigades, the 72nd Brigade, and its subordinate units.

Miranova proga A is a women's World Cup technical ski course in Slovenia, on Pohorje mountain in Radvanje District, Maribor hostin Golden Fox (Zlata lisica) competition since 1978.Part of Mariborsko Pohorje Ski Resort, the largest ski course in Slovenia, the slope is divided on upper part (GS start – Trikotna jasa) and lower part (SL start – Snow stadium finish). Not counting ski slopes in Scandinavia with very cold winters, this is the course with lowest finish elevation on the World Cup circuit, at 325 metres (1,066 ft) above sea level.

Maribor Pohorje Ski Resort (Slovene: Smučišče Mariborsko Pohorje) is the largest ski resort in Slovenia, located just south of Maribor, at the mountain range of Pohorje in Lower Styria. The resort consists of three sections: lower section "Snow Stadium," middle section "Bolfenk" and an upper section called "Areh". The resort as a whole offers 42 km (26 miles) of north-facing ski slopes, 27 km (17 mi) of cross-country skiing, and 10 km (6 mi) of night skiing. It is best known for its "Golden Fox" competition, women's World Cup races in giant slalom and slalom, held since 1964.

Tabor Hall (Slovene: Dvorana Tabor) is a multi-purpose sports venue in Maribor, Slovenia. Completed in 1984, it has a capacity for 3,261 spectators. The complex consists of two halls; the main hall for basketball, volleyball, handball and mass events, and the smaller hall, which is mostly used for table tennis and bowling, and also has a fitness centre.

Pekre (pronounced [ˈpeːkɾɛ]) is a settlement southwest of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor.The local landmark is the church on top of a small hill to the east of the main settlement. It is dedicated to Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows and was built as a pilgrimage church between 1832 and 1835. There are also four small chapel-shrines along the road leading up to the church.The first military clash between the Yugoslav People's Army and the Slovenian Territorial Defence in Slovenia's war of independence happened in Pekre on 23 May 1991.

The Maribor Island (Slovene: Mariborski otok) is the name of a natural island on the Drava river near the town of Maribor, in the region of Lower Styria (Spodnja Štajerska) of the European country of Slovenia. In 1951 it was protected as a natural heritage, and today it has the condition of natural geomorphological and botanical monument. At the same time it is an important habitat for animal species, especially birds. Access to the island is possible thanks to a picturesque path that leads along the left bank of the Drava past the bay of Koblarjev. The formation of the island was due to natural circumstances such as the rapids on the Drava River, where the hydroelectric dam near Maribor Island. There are typical forest species such as birds, especially in winter, it becomes a refuge for waterfowl. Registered, there are 75 species, of which 31 species nest.

The Magdalena District (pronounced [maɡdaˈleːna]; Slovene: Mestna četrt Magdalena) is a city district of the City Municipality of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. In 2014, the district had a population of 6,439. Maribor University Medical Centre is located in the district.

The Studenci Footbridge (Slovene: Studenška brv) is a footbridge crossing the Drava river in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. It is the smallest bridge on the Drava in Maribor, and connects Studenci on the right bank with Lent on the left bank.

The Angels (Slovene: Angeli) are a group of three monumental, primitive busts, located in a park near Kalvarija Hill in the city of Maribor, Slovenia. The statues are made of colored concrete and are approximately three metres tall. Each is a different color (pale green, pale yellow, pink) and has slightly different facial proportions. They represent angels, a common theme of their sculptor Lučka Koščak.They were erected in 2004, with the support of the municipality of Maribor and the Sculpture Institute from Ljubljana. Local residents have nicknamed them "Sveta Trojica" (Holy Trinity).
