The Judgement Tower (Slovene: Sodni stolp) is a fortified medieval tower in the city of Maribor, Slovenia. An original tower built on the site in the early 14th century secured the southwestern corner of the city walls. It was completely rebuilt in 1540, with the addition of a conical roof which burned down in the 17th century. The tower has seen several additions; the Renaissance structure extends to the tops of the second-floor windows, and is followed an early 17th-century extension. Four more floors were added in the 19th century. The tower partially burned down again in 1937 and was restored in the 1950s. It is one of several surviving elements of the former city walls; others include the Water Tower and the Jewish Tower, while the Benetke Tower was demolished in the late 1960s to make way for a hydroelectric reservoir.

The Magdalena District (pronounced [maɡdaˈleːna]; Slovene: Mestna četrt Magdalena) is a city district of the City Municipality of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. In 2014, the district had a population of 6,439. Maribor University Medical Centre is located in the district.

Ljudski vrt (English: People's Garden) is a football stadium in Maribor, the second-largest city of Slovenia. The stadium has a seating capacity of 11,709. It has been the home of NK Maribor since their formation in 1960, with the exception of a short period in early 1961. The stadium was originally the home of several other football teams based in Maribor, including Rapid and Branik. A prominent feature of the stadium is the main grandstand with a concrete arch, which is protected by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia as an architectural and historical landmark. The stadium has four stands: South Stand, East Stand, North Stand, and Marcos Tavares Stand (formerly West Stand). The record attendance of 20,000 was set at a match between Maribor and Proleter in 1973, which was before the ground's conversion to an all-seater stadium in 1998. In addition to being the home of Maribor, the stadium is also occasionally used by the Slovenian men's national football team. Ljudski vrt was also one of the venues of the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Since its opening in 1952, the stadium has gone through various renovations and reconstructions. In 1994 the stadium received floodlights, and the wooden benches on the grandstand were replaced by plastic seats. In 1999, when Maribor qualified for the UEFA Champions League group stages for the first time, the stadium underwent further renovations and adjustments. However, the biggest renovation took place between 2006 and 2008, when three of the four stands (South, East and North) were demolished and completely rebuilt. The West Stand was renovated between 2020 and 2021.

Tabor Hall (Slovene: Dvorana Tabor) is a multi-purpose sports venue in Maribor, Slovenia. Completed in 1984, it has a capacity for 3,261 spectators. The complex consists of two halls; the main hall for basketball, volleyball, handball and mass events, and the smaller hall, which is mostly used for table tennis and bowling, and also has a fitness centre.

Radio City is a private radio station located in the city of Maribor, Slovenia, which broadcasts on three radio frequencies. It can be heard predominantly in the northeastern part of the country on the frequency of 100.6 MHz (Maribor), 100.8 MHz (Celje) and also on 99.5 MHz in Ljubljana. It is also available on the internet through the official website and on DAB+ digital radio. Broadcasts began in 1995 in Maribor from the HQ in Slovenska ulica 40. Nowadays, programming is broadcast from Razlagova ulica, which is another location in Maribor. The Maribor Slovene National Theatre (SNG Maribor) is a theatre in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. Its performances of drama, opera, and ballet annually attract the country's largest theatrical audiences.

The University of Maribor (Slovene: Univerza v Mariboru) is Slovenia's second-largest university, established in 1975 in Maribor, Slovenia. It currently has 17 faculties.

Maribor Cathedral (Slovene: mariborska stolnica), dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. The church is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Maribor and the parish church of the Parish of Maribor–St. John the Baptist. It is also the resting place of Bishop Anton Martin Slomšek, an advocate of Slovene culture.

The Archdiocese of Maribor (Latin: Archidioecesis Mariborensis, Slovene: Nadškofija Maribor) is a Latin Church ecclesiastical jurisdiction or archdiocese of the Catholic Church in Slovenia. Its episcopal see is Maribor.

The Plague Column (Slovene: Kužno znamenje) is a monument at Main Square (Glavni trg) of the city of Maribor, northeastern Slovenia, erected by "pious burghers" in gratitude for the end of a 1680 plague epidemic that had claimed a third of the city's population. The original monument was built in 1681. The current one is a 1743 replacement, the first work by the German sculptor Joseph Straub in Maribor. It is considered his most monumental work, and one of the best examples of baroque art in Slovenia. The column is made entirely of white marble, and consists of an ornate rectangular pedestal that supports a Corinthian column bearing a gilded statue of the Virgin Mary, crowned with twelve stars and standing on the moon (a reference to Revelation 12:1). At its base, the column is surrounded by six saints, to which the townspeople prayed for intercession: St. Francis of Assisi St. Sebastian St. James St. Anthony of Padua St. Roch St. Francis XavierThe monument was later surrounded by an ornamental stone fence.

The Main Square of Maribor, also known as Glavni trg, is a square in Maribor, the second largest city in Slovenia, situated in the northeast of the country. On 17 November 1929 the aircraft: Raab-Katzenstein KL.1 Schwalbe with registration: D-974 crashed on Main Square of Maribor, with the death of Letalski center Maribor secretary: Ivo Šestan and the factory pilot Hans Müller. It used to be home to Maribor Slovenia's merchants' and on the upper side of the square is home to an open market.

Maribor Town Hall (Slovene: Mariborski rotovž) is the town hall of Maribor, Slovenia. It is situated on the town's Main Square (Glavni trg). Built in 1515, it was remodeled in Renaissance style between 1563 and 1565. In the mid-19th century, it was again renovated in the late Classical style, but was later restored to its original 16th-century appearance. Adolf Hitler visited Maribor on 26. 4. 1941. According to an urban legend he addressed local Germans from the building's main balcony, overlooking the square. This did not happen as neither Hitler nor any of the officers accompanying him held any public speech (containing the infamous sentence "Make this land German again") on that day.In addition to city offices, the hall also houses a Slovene national cuisine restaurant, Toti Rotovž. In the square outside the hall there stands the Plague Memorial, which commemorates the “black death” that devastated the city in 1680.
