The Primitive Methodist church was an early 19th century (1807) secession from the Wesleyan Methodist church and was particularly successful in evangelising agricultural and industrial communities at open meetings. In 1932 the Primitive Methodists joined with the Wesleyan Methodists and the United Methodists to form the Methodist Church of Great Britain. It was created as an ecclesiastical parish in 1922, and as a civil parish in 1935, from parts of Clenchwarton, Emneth, Terrington St Clement, Terrington St John, Tilney All Saints, Tilney St Lawrence, Tilney cum Islington, Walpole St Andrew, Walpole St Peter, and West Walton. Marshland Rural District was a rural district in Norfolk, England from 1894 to 1974.It was formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on the Marshland rural sanitary district, and was named after the Freebridge Marshland hundred. It covered an area to the west of King's Lynn on the borders of Lincolnshire and the Isle of Ely. In 1930 a new parish of Nordelph was created in Downham RD, taking land mostly out of the Marshland RD parishes of Upwell and Outwell.During the period 1933-1935 it absorbed most of the area of the disbanded Walsoken Urban District, with other minor boundary changes.In 1974, the district was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and became part of the West Norfolk district.

Emneth Hungate is a small settlement near the village of Emneth in Norfolk, England, near the border with Cambridgeshire. It once had its own Emneth railway station on the now-closed line between Watlington and Wisbech.

Emneth was a railway station, near Wisbech, which served the village of Emneth, Norfolk. The station was opened in 1848 as an extension of the East Anglian Railway's line from Magdalen Road station (now known as Watlington) to Wisbech East. In 1872 Elizabeth Pearce, twelve year-old daughter of a nearby crossing keeper, drowned in the 'Tea-water pit'. The station's location, like that of the neighbouring Middle Drove station, was fairly rural and the line eventually closed in 1968. In October 1942, a hoard of Roman silver coins together with fragments of an urn in which they were stored was found near the station. Emneth's station building survived closure, and has since been converted into a private residence.

Middle Drove was a railway station which served the nearby village of Tilney Fen End (situated 1 mile to the north northeast) near Downham Market in Norfolk, England. The station was opened in 1848 as an extension of the East Anglian Railway's line from Magdalen Road station (now known as Watlington) to Wisbech East. The station's location, like that of the neighbouring Smeeth Road station, was fairly rural and the line eventually closed in 1968. Middle Drove's station building survived closure, and has since been converted into a private residence. In October 2022, demolition work was carried out to remove the platform, waiting room and station canopy. The station house remains, but an application for planning permission has been submitted for its demolition and replacement.

It covers an area of 10.48 km2 (4.05 sq mi) and had a population of 685 in 266 households at the 2001 census, the population increasing to 701 at the 2011 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. The village lies to the south of the route of the A47 between Peterborough and King's Lynn.

Emneth is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is located 2.9 miles (4.7 km) south-east of Wisbech, 12 miles (19 km) south-west of King's Lynn and 46 miles (74 km) west of Norwich, close to the course of the River Nene.

Beaupré Hall was a large 16th-century house mainly of brick, which was built by the Beaupres in Outwell, Norfolk, England and enlarged by their successors the Bells. Like many of Britain's country houses it was demolished in the mid-20th century.

For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of King's Lynn and West Norfolk. The Church of St John is a Grade I listed building.

Outwell Basin railway station was a stop on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway in Outwell, Norfolk. It opened in 1883 carrying passenger and goods traffic from nearby farms. It was closed to passengers in 1928, with goods services continuing on the line until 1966. The line it once stood on is now a grassy track.

Boyces Bridge railway station was a station in Norfolk on the Wisbech and Upwell Tramway commonly known as the Upwell Tramway. It was located north of Outwell. It was opened in 1883 along with the rest of the line, and closed to passengers in 1928 and goods in 1966.
