Felthorpe

On 3 June 1966, a newly built Hawker Siddeley Trident jetliner crashed during a pre-delivery test flight near the village of Felthorpe, Norfolk, England, killing all four crew. The aeroplane had entered a deep stall from which the crew were unable to recover. It was the first loss of a Trident aircraft.

Haveringland is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk about 8 miles (13 km) north-west of Norwich. It covers an area of 8.91 km2 (3.44 sq mi) and had a population of 187 in 69 households at the 2001 census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Broadland. Its church, St Peter, is one of 124 existing round-tower churches in Norfolk.

Swannington Upgate Common is a 20.5-hectare (51-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Norwich in Norfolk.This site has varied habitats including glacial sands and gravels, peat, dry and wet heath, woodland, grassland, ponds and a stream. There is a wide range of breeding birds.The site is open to the public.

Horsford is a village six miles north of Norwich, England which is surrounded by the Horsford Forest and is named after the dried up section of the River Hor. Its population has seen a steady increase since the Second World War, growing from 750 in 1945 to 4,163 at the 2011 Census. There are various explanations of the village name. It is usually said to derive from 'horse ford', but it has also been suggested that it comes from the River Hor on which the village stands (more usually known to locals as 'the Beck'). A third explanation is that it comes from Horsa, the name of a Saxon chief. The surrounding Horsford Forest has been designated a County Wildlife Site. The rare silver-studded blue butterfly has a colony in this forest. The motte of the demolished Horsford Castle lies to the east of the village.

Thorpe Marriott is a residential area in Norfolk, England covering part of Taverham and Drayton parishes. Much of the housing was built in the latter part of the 20th century. It enjoys the amenities of both parishes which are easily accessible from the Fakenham road A1047 road. Although lacking its own school and surgery, The Square in Thorpe Marriott holds five shops, Thorpe Marriott village hall, Trinity Ecumenical Church (Methodist & Anglican) and The Otter public house. Taverham High School is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Taverham in the English county of Norfolk. As well as serving Taverham, the school has a catchment area that includes the adjoining villages of Drayton, Costessey and Ringland. The school was first established in September 1979, and was based at Hellesdon High School for its first academic year before relocating to the present campus. The school converted to academy status in April 2013, and was previously a community school under the direct control of Norfolk County Council with specialist Sports College status. The school continues to coordinate with Norfolk County Council for admissions. The school has its own sixth form provision. Taverham previously had a shared sixth form provision with Hellesdon High School, however this was phased out in September 2014.

Taverham is a village and civil parish in Norfolk, in England. It is approximately 5 miles (8 km) north-west of Norwich. Taverham sits on the River Wensum. Taverham forms part the wider Norwich Built-up area. In 2001, Taverham had a population of 10,233. It has seen recent population growth with the building of Thorpe Marriott, a new residential development that straddles the boundary with the neighbouring village of Drayton. The patron saint of Taverham is St Walstan who according to legend lived and worked in the village in the 11th century. By 2013, the area of Taverham had an approximate population of 14,121.

Drayton railway station is a former station in Norfolk, England. Constructed by the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway in the 1880s, on the line between Melton Constable and Norwich, it was closed to passengers in 1959. It served the settlement of Drayton now on the outskirts of Norwich. The site is now home to an industrial site, Many of the buildings follow the old footings of the platform and other buildings. Many of the railway bridges in this area have been filled in or removed. The footings for the bridge entering Drayton from Norwich is now a house. Its former site is now on Marriott's Way. Drayton, Norfolk, is a suburban village in the county of Norfolk and district of Broadland 4.3 miles (6.9 km) north west of Norwich. It is situated on the A1067 road between Hellesdon and Taverham.

Cawston and Marsham Heaths is a 116.7-hectare (288-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Norwich in Norfolk.These heaths are dominated by heather, and they have diverse flora including a rich variety of lichens. Many species of heathland birds breed on the site, including tree pipits, whinchats and nightjars.The heaths are open to the public.

St Nicholas Church is a redundant Anglican church in the village of Brandiston, Norfolk, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building, and is under the care of the Churches Conservation Trust. It stands next to Brandiston Hall.

Taverham Hall School was an independent co-educational day and boarding preparatory school. Situated in Taverham, Norfolk, it was founded in 1920. The school accommodates over 300 pupils between the ages of 1 and 13. The current headmaster is Mike Crossley, who is a member of the IAPS. In 2016, Taverham Hall School merged with the preparatory department of Langley School, Loddon, to form Langley Preparatory School at Taverham Hall.
