Skyline is a city in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 288 at the 2020 census. It is adjacent to the city of Mankato and is part of the Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The Le Sueur River (lay-SEWER) is a tributary of the Blue Earth River, 111 miles (178 km) long, in southern Minnesota in the United States. Via the Blue Earth and Minnesota Rivers, it is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River, draining an area of 1,089 square miles (2,280 km2). It is the largest tributary of the Blue Earth River, draining 31% of its watershed.Le Sueur River was named for Pierre-Charles Le Sueur, a French explorer of North America.

LeHillier (also Le Hillier) is an unincorporated community in South Bend Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota, United States.

Kern Bridge or Yaeger Bridge crossed the Le Sueur River in Blue Earth County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It was built in 1873 using a bowstring through truss design by the Wrought Iron Bridge Company. It was 183.5 feet (56 m) long and carried a local road. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 as Minnesota's only bowstring arch truss bridge and oldest road bridge still in use. However, it was closed to vehicle traffic in 1991.In 2019, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) announced plans to dismantle the bridge and store it for eventual reuse elsewhere. According to the department's website, it has been removed and is available for suitable relocation.Less than 5 miles (8 km) downstream from its original site, the historic 1873 Kern Bridge has found a new home connecting the Land of Memories Park to Sibley Park in Mankato. Mankato will receive federal funding (80 percent of cost) to relocate and rehabilitate the bridge. According to MnDOT, "Although Mankato is urban, the future Kern Bridge setting is wooded, crosses a large river, and is a similar context to the original bridge site." Pedestrians and bicyclists will access the bridge through the existing trail system. "The bridge will be seen from the north via a scenic overlook and from the south via U.S. Highway 169. Though the proposal included use of extensive approach spans to meet the river’s width," MnDOT says, "the choice of a streamlined girder will allow the arch to be visually prominent, an important consideration in re-listing the bridge" on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Charles Chapman House is a historic house in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It was built around 1858. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its local significance in the theme of exploration/settlement. It was nominated for its association with Charles Chapman, an early surveyor and city engineer who played a key role in Mankato's initial development.

Sibley Park is a city park located at the convergence of the Minnesota and Blue Earth Rivers in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. The park was established in 1887 and was named for the state's first governor Henry Hastings Sibley. The park is split into two sides with a hill separating the two sides. The front side has a band shell, a petting zoo, and large lawn area. There are numerous gardens and walking trails through the park. The river side of the park has a view of the river along with sledding hills during the winter, and softball fields and tennis courts during the summer months. There are also a playground and barbecue pits.

The William Irving House is a historic house in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1873 in Second Empire style for retired merchant William Irving (b. 1821). The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and commerce. It was nominated for being a well-preserved example of a locally uncommon architectural style.

The Blue Earth River (Dakota: Makhátho Wakpá) is a tributary of the Minnesota River, 108 miles (174 km) long, in southern Minnesota in the United States. Two of its headwaters tributaries, the Middle Branch Blue Earth River and the West Branch Blue Earth River, also flow for short distances in northern Iowa. By volume, it is the Minnesota River's largest tributary, accounting for 46% of the Minnesota's flow at the rivers' confluence in Mankato. Via the Minnesota River, the Blue Earth River is part of the watershed of the Mississippi River, draining an area of 3,486 square miles (9,030 km2) in an agricultural region. Ninety percent of the river's watershed is in Minnesota. It is a Minnesota Department of Natural Resources designated Water Trail.

Mankato West High School is a public secondary school located in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. According to the school district in 2016, Mankato West enrolls about 1150 students in four grades, grades 9–12. In 1992–93 the school was designated as a "Blue Ribbon School of Excellence" by the United States Department of Education.The schools teams are nicknamed the Scarlets. Mankato West is a member of the Big 9 Conference.

The J.R. Brandrup House is a historic house in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1904 in Neoclassical style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and education. It was nominated for its association with J.R. Brandrup (1864–1944), a founder of a private vocational school that became one of Mankato's most important educational institutions. The house was also nominated for its prominence and elaborate ornamentation within Mankato's Lincoln Park neighborhood. In 1995 it was listed as a contributing property to the Lincoln Park Residential Historic District.

KMSU (89.7 FM, "The Maverick") is a radio station operated by Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota, United States, that carries a mixed news, talk, and music format. A repeater station, KMSK (91.3 FM), serves the city of Austin; a translator station, K220AR (91.9 FM), serves the city of Albert Lea. It is part of Minnesota's AMPERS network.

KXLP (94.1 FM) is a radio station in Mankato, Minnesota (licensed to Eagle Lake) and serving the Minnesota River Valley. The 94.1 FM frequency went on the air September 21, 2007, airing a classic rock format that migrated from a sister station at 93.1 FM. KXLP's license is owned by Radioactive, LLC (a holding company owned by Randy Michaels) and the station is operated by Linder Radio Group.
