Blue Earth River

Sibley Park is a city park located at the convergence of the Minnesota and Blue Earth Rivers in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. The park was established in 1887 and was named for the state's first governor Henry Hastings Sibley. The park is split into two sides with a hill separating the two sides. The front side has a band shell, a petting zoo, and large lawn area. There are numerous gardens and walking trails through the park. The river side of the park has a view of the river along with sledding hills during the winter, and softball fields and tennis courts during the summer months. There are also a playground and barbecue pits.

KRBI-FM (105.5 FM, "River 105") is an American radio station licensed to serve the community of St. Peter, Minnesota and broadcasting to the Mankato area and the Minnesota River Valley. It currently airs a classic hits music format. The station is owned by Alpha Media, LLC, along with KEEZ, KYSM-FM and KMKO-FM. From 1966 until 2000, KRBI-FM simulcast with its AM sister at 1310 AM. In later years, the FM station aired an adult contemporary format, with a heavy focus on its hometown of St. Peter. After increasing power from 3,000 to 25,000 watts, improving its signal into Mankato and other nearby cities, KRBI-FM flipped to a more regionally focused classic rock format as "River 105" on September 12, 2000. The St. Peter-oriented programming shifted to its AM sister, KRBI 1310 AM. KRBI-FM switched its moniker to "The Buzzard" in April 2006. On January 4, 2010, KRBI-FM changed their format to classic hits, branded as "105.5 The River". On May 1, 2012 KRBI-FM changed their format from classic hits to adult contemporary, still branded as "105.5 The River". As of 2018 KRBI-FM has flipped back to classic hits, the station slightly rebranded as "River 105".

KYSM-FM (103.5 FM, "Country 103.5") is an American radio station licensed to Mankato and serving the Minnesota River Valley. The station currently airs a country music format. Country 103.5 was purchased by Three Eagles Communications from its previous owner, Clear Channel Communications in August 2007, and then by Digity, LLC on September 12, 2014. Sister stations include KEEZ, KRBI-FM and KMKO-FM.

The Charles Chapman House is a historic house in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It was built around 1858. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its local significance in the theme of exploration/settlement. It was nominated for its association with Charles Chapman, an early surveyor and city engineer who played a key role in Mankato's initial development.

LeHillier (also Le Hillier) is an unincorporated community in South Bend Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota, United States.

The William Irving House is a historic house in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1873 in Second Empire style for retired merchant William Irving (b. 1821). The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and commerce. It was nominated for being a well-preserved example of a locally uncommon architectural style.

North Mankato ( man-KAY-toh) is a city in Nicollet and Blue Earth counties in the State of Minnesota. The population was 14,275 at the 2020 census.Most of North Mankato is in Nicollet County, but a small part extends into Blue Earth County. It is neighbored to the south across the Minnesota River by Mankato. The two cities have a combined population of 58,763. North Mankato is the smaller of the two principal cities of the Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area. North Mankato was incorporated as a village in 1898. U.S. Highways 14 and 169 and Minnesota State Highway 60 are three of the city's main routes.

Mankato West High School is a public secondary school located in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. According to the school district in 2016, Mankato West enrolls about 1150 students in four grades, grades 9–12. In 1992–93 the school was designated as a "Blue Ribbon School of Excellence" by the United States Department of Education.The schools teams are nicknamed the Scarlets. Mankato West is a member of the Big 9 Conference.

Children's Museum of Southern Minnesota (CMSM) is a children's museum located in Mankato, Minnesota. It features regularly scheduled art and science activities.Indoor exhibits include an interactive quarry, a tree made of tree forts, and a vertical wind-tunnel. The museum offers seasonal farm exhibits outdoors during the warmer months.

Skyline is a city in Blue Earth County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 288 at the 2020 census. It is adjacent to the city of Mankato and is part of the Mankato-North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The J.R. Brandrup House is a historic house in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It was built in 1904 in Neoclassical style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and education. It was nominated for its association with J.R. Brandrup (1864–1944), a founder of a private vocational school that became one of Mankato's most important educational institutions. The house was also nominated for its prominence and elaborate ornamentation within Mankato's Lincoln Park neighborhood. In 1995 it was listed as a contributing property to the Lincoln Park Residential Historic District.

The Lorin Cray House (also known as the Cray Mansion) is a historic structure in Mankato, Minnesota. Originally a private home, it was owned by the local YWCA for just over 80 years, from late 1927 until they changed locations in early 2008. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 28, 1980.
