Bobrowniki [bɔbrɔvˈɲikʲi] is a village in Będzin County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Bobrowniki. It lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Będzin and 15 km (9 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice.

Wymysłów [vɨˈmɨswuf] (former German name Wimslau) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Świerklaniec, within Tarnowskie Góry County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 9 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Tarnowskie Góry and 17 km (11 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of 572.

Piekary Śląskie ([pʲɛˈkarɨ ˈɕlɔ̃skʲɛ]) (Silesian: Piekary) is a city in Silesia in southern Poland, near Katowice. The north district of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union – metropolis with the population of 2 million. Located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Brynica river (tributary of the Vistula). It is situated in the Silesian Voivodeship. Piekary Śląskie is one of the cities of the 2.7 million conurbation – Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the city is 54,226 (2021).Piekary is a spiritual center of Upper Silesia, a Marian shrine which is a pilgrimage site for thousands of the faithful, and a mining town.

Silesian Voivodeship, or Silesia Province (Polish: województwo śląskie [vɔjɛˈvut͡stfɔ ˈɕlɔ̃skʲɛ]) is a voivodeship, or province, in southern Poland, centered on the historic region known as Upper Silesia (Górny Śląsk), with Katowice serving as its capital. Despite the Silesian Voivodeship's name, most of the historic Silesia region lies outside the present Silesian Voivodeship – divided among Lubusz, Lower Silesian, and Opole Voivodeships. The eastern half of Silesian Voivodeship (and, notably, Częstochowa in the north) was historically part of Lesser Poland. The Voivodeship was created on 1 January 1999 out of the former Katowice, Częstochowa and Bielsko-Biała Voivodeships, pursuant to the Polish local government reforms adopted in 1998. It is the most densely populated voivodeship in Poland. Within the area of 12,300 square kilometres, there are almost 5 million inhabitants. It is also the largest urbanised area in Central and Eastern Europe. In relation to economy, over 13% of Poland's gross domestic product (GDP) is generated here, making the Silesian Voivodeship one of the wealthiest provinces in the country.

The Basilica of St. Mary and St. Bartholomew is a Roman Catholic church in Piekary Śląskie, Poland. There was a church in Piekary Śląskie from the fourteenth century. The current church, designed by Daniel Grötschel in Neo-Romanesqe style, was completed in 1849. On 1 December 1962, Pope John XXIII elevated the church to the status of minor basilica.

Ossy [ˈɔssɨ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Ożarowice, within Tarnowskie Góry County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) south-west of Ożarowice, 10 km (6 mi) east of Tarnowskie Góry, and 21 km (13 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice.

Wojkowice [vɔi̯kɔˈvʲit͡sɛ] (German: Woikowize) is a small town in województwo śląskie, located in so-called Zagłębie Dąbrowskie in southern Poland, near Katowice. Wojkowice is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Brynica river (tributary of the Vistula), and historically belongs to Lesser Poland. Its name comes from ancient Polish given name Wojek, which might have been a diminutive of Wojslaw. Several other locations in Poland have been named in a similar fashion – Wojslawice, Wojkowo, Wojkow, Wojkowa. The town used to be in Katowice Voivodeship, but has been part of the Silesian Voivodeship since its the formation of the voivodeship in 1999. Wojkowice is one of the cities of the 2,7 million conurbation – Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area populated by about 5,294,000 people. The population of the town is 8,927 (2019).

Sączów [ˈsɔnt͡ʂuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Bobrowniki, within Będzin, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north-west of Tarnowskie Góry and 21 km (13 mi) north of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of 1,406.

Żabie Doły is a nature and landscape protected area in Silesia, Poland. The Żabie Doły complex is located entirely within the Silesian Metropolis and encompasses land heavily altered by human activity. The protected area covers 2.262 km² . At Żabie Doły, 129 species of birds have been identified, including 70 nesting species and 17 species rare in the region. Other fauna and flora is also well represented. The name ""Żabie Doły" can be roughly translated as "Frog Ditches".

Neudeck Palace (Polish: Zamek w Świerklańcu; German: Schloss Neudeck) was the residence of the aristrocratic Henckel von Donnersmarck family in Upper Silesia. The palace complex and park was one of the largest and most magnificent in the German Empire and was popularly known as Little Versailles or Upper Silesian Versailles. It is located around two kilometers south-east of the town of Neudeck (Polish: Świerklaniec) in the Tarnogórski Góry County in Poland. The Old and New Palace were set on fire by the Red Army in 1945 and demolished in August 1961. Today, the complex consists of the palace park, the Cavalier Palace, the Donnersmarck funeral chapel and several farm buildings and monuments.
