St Chad's Church, Wybunbury

Wybunbury is a village (at SJ698499) and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The village lies 3¼ miles to the south east of Nantwich and 3¾ miles to the south of Crewe. The parish also includes the settlements of Clannor Heath, Daisy Hill, The Flag, Pinfold and parts of Blakelow, Haymoor Green and Howbeck Bank. Nearby villages include Hough, Shavington, Stapeley and Walgherton. The A51 runs east–west through the south-western corner of the parish. According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 1,474, reducing to 1,459 at the 2011 Census.Wybunbury was listed in the Domesday Book as Wimeberie is pronounced "Wimbry" or "Winbry".

Wybunbury Moss is a National Nature Reserve (NNR) and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) near the village of Wybunbury in Cheshire, England. It is a raised lowland bog, and a rare British example of a schwingmoor and a 'subsidence mire' (only two other British examples of the latter exist: Brookhouse Moss SSSI between Congleton and Sandbach, also in Cheshire, and Chartley Moss NNR in Staffordshire).The site was first notified as an SSSI in 1951, and designated as an NNR in 1955, with further acquisitions added to the protected area in 1957 and 2009. It is owned and managed by Natural England.

Walgherton is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The village lies at SJ697489 by the junction of the A51 and B5071 roads, 3½ miles to the south east of Nantwich and 4½ miles to the south of Crewe. The civil parish also includes the small settlement of Hussey's Nook. The total population is just under 130 people. Sand has been extracted at Hough Mill Quarry. The remainder of the parish is predominantly agricultural. Nearby villages include Hatherton, Stapeley and Wybunbury.

Hough () is a village (at SJ712509) and former civil parish, now in the parish of Hough and Chorlton, in the unitary authority area of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The village is 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Crewe and 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Nantwich. The parish also included part of the settlement of Goodalls Corner. The total population is a little over 800, measured at 808 in the 2011 Census. Nearby villages include Basford, Chorlton, Shavington, Weston and Wybunbury.

Shavington Academy (formerly Shavington High School) is a coeducational secondary school, located in Rope Lane, Shavington, Cheshire East, England. It is adjacent to the Shavington Leisure Centre. Previously a foundation school administered by Cheshire East Council, Shavington High School converted to academy status in September 2015 and was renamed Shavington Academy. However the school continues to coordinate with Cheshire East Council for admissions.

The Crewe Alexandra F.C. Academy is the player development centre of English Football League club Crewe Alexandra F.C. Set up by manager Dario Gradi in the late 1980s, it achieved official status as an FA Youth Academy in the late 1990s. By concentrating on developing its own players the club remained profitable (a rare thing in lower-division football at the time) by selling them on after they have gained experience with Crewe. Hatherton is a hamlet and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. The hamlet is on the B5071 at SJ687474, 2+3⁄4 miles (4.4 km) to the north east of Audlem and 3+3⁄4 miles (6.0 km) to the south east of Nantwich. The civil parish has an area of 673 hectares (1,660 acres) and also includes the small settlements of Birchall Moss, Broomlands and part of Artlebrook, with a total population of 360 in 2011. Nearby villages include Hankelow, Stapeley, Walgherton, Wybunbury, Blakenhall and Buerton. The A529 runs through the parish and the River Weaver forms the western boundary. Hatherton was first recorded in the Domesday survey as Haretone. The 18th-century Hatherton Manor farmhouse is listed at grade II*, and there are also grade-II-listed timber-framed and brick farmhouses and former country houses. The hamlet has a Methodist chapel. The Hatherton Flush Site of Special Scientific Interest is a wetland by the Weaver that supports marsh helleborine, marsh lousewort and tubular water-dropwort, which are rare in Cheshire.
