The Kad pogledaš me preko ramena Tour is the worldwide concert tour by Serbian singer Zdravko Čolić, in support of his thirteenth studio album, Kad pogledas me preko ramena. It began on February 14, 2010, in Split, Croatia at the Spaladium Arena, but official start on July 31, 2010, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina at the stadium Kosevo and is continuing throughout Canada and Europe. It will finish on December 31, 2013. The tour also includes some festival concerts.

The Vatra i barut Tour is the worldwide concert tour by Bosnian singer Zdravko Čolić, in support of his fourteenth studio album, Vatra i barut. It began on March 8, 2014, in Malmö, Sweden at the Amiralen and is continuing throughout Europe, Australia, USA and Canada. It will finish in December 2017 The tour also includes some festival concerts.

The Gothenburg Synagogue (Swedish: Göteborgs synagoga) at Stora Nygatan, near Drottningtorget, Gothenburg, Sweden, was opened in 1855 according to the designs of the German architect August Krüger. The congregation is Conservative. The synagogue sanctuary has 300 seats. Between 25 and 30% of the membership fees are used for security measures, as Jews risk attack from Middle Eastern, far-left and far-right extremists.The synagogue was firebombed on Saturday, 9 December 2017. Three migrant men were arrested. Prosecutor Stina Lundqvist said about 10 to 15 people may have attacked "in concert". The attack was condemned as antisemitic by mayor Ann-Sofie Hermansson. In the aftermath of the attack, the synagogue was visited by two cabinet ministers in a show of support from the highest political level.

The 2017 Gothenburg Synagogue attack took place on 9 December 2017 when individuals in a large gang threw firebombs at the synagogue in Gothenburg, which hosted an event with about 40 youth inside. The people inside fled to the basement but nobody was hurt. The incendiaries started a fire among the parked vehicles in the yard but the building did not catch fire. Of the about ten masked individuals at the scene, two stateless Palestinians and one Syrian could later be identified and they were sentenced to jail for having committed a hate crime.

The Christ the King Church (Swedish: Kristus Konungens katolska församling) is the name given to a religious building that is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church and serves as the parish church belonging to the Catholic Diocese of Stockholm in Sweden. It is located at 14 Parkgatan, in the city of Gothenburg.The parish was founded in 1862 and is the oldest of the three parishes of Gothenburg. Initially it consisted of fifty faithful. Three years later, the parish had its own initially Gothic church dedicated to St. Joseph. In 1928 as the community grew, the parish bought land for a new church, school and rectory. On October 31, 1937 the first stone was laid for the construction of the church on the feast of Christ the King, and October 2, 1938 the first Mass was celebrated. In 1961, there were about three thousand faithful. In the late 1990s, the parish had more than seven thousand people of different nationalities, thus offering Masses in different languages.The former pipe organ from the Church of Christ, Scientist in Sloane Square in London was removed from the church when it was converted to a concert hall, Cadogan Hall, and was installed in Christ the King Church. The organ is a three-manual instrument built by J. W. Walker & Sons Ltd in 1907 and originally installed in 1911.

The Clarion Hotel Post is a hotel and conference facility at Drottningtorget in central Gothenburg, Sweden. Designed by Semrén & Månsson, the hotel was built in the former Posthuset (post office building) of Gothenburg, with the addition of a modern tower. It opened on 26 January 2012. The hotel is owned by the Swedish firm Home Properties, which is controlled by the Norwegian billionaire Petter Stordalen. It is operated by Nordic Choice Hotels (which is also owned by Stordalen) under the trademark Clarion Hotels. The hotel's main entrance is from Drottningtorget and the rear entrance is from Åkareplatsen. Clarion Hotel Post has 500 rooms including three suites, a large event room that can accommodate 1,000 people and 17 meeting rooms. There are three restaurants and bars, bistro, bar and grill and a rooftop pool with good views of the city. With a total area of 36,700 square meters the conversion and extension cost a total of 1.4 billion Swedish kronor.

Heden is a ballcourt and public space and square in the centre of Gothenburg, Sweden. Football matches are played there in the run-up to the final of the Gothia Cup. The final is played at Ullevi. Also the largest handball tournament in the world is played there during the summer: Partille Cup, when Heden is transformed to a handball festival with over 50 playing fields and 15,000 players. An artificial bandy ice has recently been established and GAIS play their home matches there. At the 2013 Bandy World Championship, the group match between Sweden and Russia was played at the Heden arena.Before its public use, Heden was a military ground where they used to drill soldiers (Excersisheden).

Bältespännarparken (Swedish: [ˈbɛ̂ltɛˌspɛnːarpaɾkɛn], unofficially known as The Belt Bucklers Park) is the informal name for a section of Kungsparken in central Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located directly across from the Stora Teatern at the intersection of Kungsportsavenyen and the main entrance to the Garden Society of Gothenburg.

Gothenburg Central Station (Swedish: Göteborgs centralstation, Göteborg C) is the main railway station of Gothenburg and it is the oldest railway station in Sweden still in use. The station serves 27 million passengers per year, making it the second largest railway station in Sweden after Stockholm Central Station which it predates by 13 years. The station opened on October 4, 1858. The station is situated in the city of Gothenburg, right by Drottningtorget. The Gothenburg Central Station, Centralhuset and Nils Ericson Terminalen are a part of Resecentrum, Göteborg. Gothenburg Central Station is owned and administered by Jernhusen.

Stora Teatern (popularly known as Storan) is a musical theater in the Lorensberg district of Gothenburg, Sweden. Inaugurated in 1859, it is situated in Kungsparken park south of Kungsportsplatsen.It was originally founded to replace the Segerlindska teatern, and as such was known as Nya Theatern ('New Theatre') until 1880. The thirty-meter-high theater was inaugurated on September 15, 1859. During the first 60 years, this was mainly a dramatic theater featuring opera and operetta. In 1916, Stora Teatern became primarily a lyrical theater.

Vasagatan is a major street in central Gothenburg named after King Gustav Vasa. It stretches from Sprängkullsgatan in west to Heden in east. Along it are well known establishments like the Röhsska Museum, Gothenburg University and Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law. The street is known for its many cafés, and it has several restaurants. It is said to have the most dense bicycle traffic in Gothenburg. The street crosses Kungsportsavenyn, and this crossing is the midpoint of nightlife in Gothenburg.

Valand Academy (Swedish: Akademin Valand) is a school for film, photography, literary composition, and fine art at the University of Gothenburg in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was formed in 2012 through the merger of three formerly independent schools/departments at the University of Gothenburg. Valand Academy can trace its roots back to the year 1865, and is older than the University of Gothenburg (founded 1891).
