Drottningviken is the name of a small bay in Nynäshamn, Sweden. The bay is a popular training ground among scuba divers in the Nynäshamn and Stockholm regions, due to its shallow and accessible waters.

Askim (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈâɧːɪm]) is a district (stadsdelsnämndsområde) of the Gothenburg Municipality in Sweden, about 10 km (6 mi) south-west of the city centre. To the northwest of Askim is Västra Frölunda, to the east is Mölndal, and the sea is to the west. As a district, Askim has a local board composed of the same proportions ruling Gothenburg as a whole. The voting base in Askim is predominantly bourgeoisie, while Gothenburg as a whole has a social democratic, socialist and environmentalist majority. This has caused some local tensions due to the strong liberal movement, and a strong local movement works to once again make Askim a separate municipality (kommun). Askim was traditionally inhabited by fishermen. It is now a predominantly upper-middle class area with golf clubs, yacht clubs, and large houses. The less expensive areas are popular with families with children due to a reputation for safety and good schools. The district of Askim is divided into smaller parts, including Askim, Hovås, Billdal and Skintebo. Beneath Askim lies many historical artifacts dating back to the Stone Age. Many worked pieces of rock show evidence of these times. It is on the Askim coast, a part of Kattegatt, and has a mountainous terrain. Most of the buildings, which comprise mainly privately owned homes, are concentrated along the coast. The people living here have a much higher income compared to other average citizens of both Gothenburg and Sweden. The football team is Askims IK, whose coach is the famous ex-player Pontus Kåmark, who played in the Sweden national team in 1994.

Västra Frölunda, sometimes referred to as just Frölunda, is one of 21 boroughs in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located in the south western part of the city, and is the smallest of the boroughs with a population of 12,855 (2004) on 3.72 square kilometres, although the term Frölunda generally is used for a much wider area covering almost all the city's western suburbs.

Frölunda specialist hospital (Swedish: Frölunda Specialistsjukhus) is located in Frölunda, right next to Frölunda torg, approximately nine kilometres south-west of central Gothenburg. The hospital primarily operate with elective care, with specialist in otolaryngology, neurology, gynaecology, orthopedic surgery, medicine, dermatology, ophthalmology, surgery, and radiography. The hospital was inaugurated in 1968 as a local hospital for people living in Tynnered, Frölunda, and Älvsborg. Today, 190 people work at the hospital which is owned by Västra Götaland Regional Council. The 17-storey building is 55 metres (180 ft) high. The hospital occupies the bottom five floors; the rest are residential.

Eklanda is a suburban neighbourhood with 3000 inhabitants in Mölndal Municipality, part of the Gothenburg urban area. Eklanda is predominantly made up of high- and medium-income households. Eklanda is adjacent to the Högsbo 421 shopping mall and Änggårdsbergen protected area.

Särö Västerskog is a nature reserve located in Kungsbacka Municipality, Sweden, on a peninsula west of the locality of Särö. It was established in 1974 and is currently part of the Natura 2000 ecological network. The reserve has an area of 55 hectares; it is mostly covered with forest, but there are also pastures and beaches, as well as graves from the Nordic Bronze Age. The most common trees are oak and pine, some of which are 200–300 years old. In 1914, a pine tree with 480 growth rings was found - probably the oldest known pine in Halland. Furthermore, the reserve houses the largest population of the common yew in Sweden.55 species in the IUCN Red List have been found in the reserve, including many lichens and beetles.

Särö () is an area in Kungsbacka Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 3,165 inhabitants in 2010. It is located south of Gothenburg on the Särö peninsula. Geographically, the peninsula marks the transition from the Bohuslän archipelago in the north and the long, flat Halland coast in the south. The nature reserve Särö Västerskog is located nearby. Originally an agricultural area, Särö became most popular during the end of the 19th century when the middle class of nearby Gothenburg started to use the peninsula as a summer resort. A railway from central Gothenburg was built, and the kings Oscar II and Gustav V frequented the area during the summer. Today, Särö is an affluent suburb of Gothenburg and Kungsbacka. Now the older part of the town of Särö is located on the peninsula of the same name and is a villa community with several centuries-old villas. Särö now has many well-located Gothenburgers which have had summer villas there.Särö Lawn Tennisklubb is the local tennis club in Särö. It was established in 1897. King Oscar II of Sweden and Crown prince Gustaf V were frequent visitors to the club during the late 1800s through the 1900s. Today SLTK have both indoor and outdoor courts, located in different areas of Särö.

Tynnered is one of 21 boroughs in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located in the western part of the city, about 8-10 kilometres from the inner city, and it has a population of 27,787 (2010) on 29.85 square kilometres (11.53 mi2). Alike several other boroughs of the city, Tynnered has a fairly high percentage of immigrants. On January 1, 2011, Tynnered became part of the district (stadsdelsnämnd) Western Gothenburg (Västra Göteborg). In 2021 the stadsdelsnämd districts were replaced by larger stadsområde districts and Tynnered became part of South-West Gothenburg (Sydväst Göteborg).Travelling by tram from Gothenburg city centre to southern Tynnered takes about 25 minutes. The two trams that go to Tynnered are the tram routes 1 and 7, and they stop at Briljantgatan, Smaragdgatan and Opaltorget. To northern Tynnered the bus number 50 is the fastest, taking about 20 minutes from the city centre. The shopping mall Frölunda Torg is located a couple of minutes away from Tynnered when going by foot. Tynnered is also a parish, with approximately the same area. The church was built 1973.

Ruddalens IP is a sports venue in Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg, Sweden. It houses a football stadium for the teams Västra Frölunda IF, Utsiktens BK, Assyriska BK and BK Skottfint with a total capacity of 5,000 spectators.The speed skating venue Rudhallen is the only of its kind in Sweden with the entire facility under one roof. It was the venue for the 2003 World Allround Speed Skating Championships. The indoor speed skating venue is closed for the season 2019/20. Ruddalens IP also has an outdoor bandy field.
