The Walery Rzewuski Museum of the History of Photography in Kraków (Muzeum Historii Fotografii w Krakowie) is a state-run photography museum in Kraków, Poland, established as the only one of its kind a mere three years before the collapse of the Soviet empire. The venue survived the transition successfully owing to new programmes. The museum building is located on Józefitów 16 street in the Krowodrza district (north-west of Kleparz).The Museum's mission is the collection and popularizing of historical photographs, as well as research and more recently the digitization of images for the online museum. Aside from exhibits and international symposiums, the museum has a collection of early photographic equipment and its own vast library of albums, archives, catalogs, books and manuals, as well as a press room.

Pomorska (Ulica Pomorska 2) is a building also known as Silesian House (In Polish: Dom Slaski) in Krakow, Poland. The word Pomorska was for the Krakow 1940s generation a synonym for Gestapo headquarters and operations.

AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, AGH UST is a public university in Krakow, Poland.The university was founded in 1913, and its inauguration took place in 1919.The AGH UST is a modern university which focuses on creating innovative technologies. The research profile of the university includes engineering disciplines, exact sciences, Earth sciences, and social sciences, with an emphasis on current priorities of economy and business. The university is one of 10 Polish higher education institutions that has been given the title of a research university.The university comprises, among other units, 16 faculties, a research centre – the AGH UST Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology, and other didactic centres and departments. The AGH UST offers three levels of education: first-cycle, second-cycle, and third-cycle (doctoral schools). The Agricultural University of Kraków (Polish: Uniwersytet Rolniczy im. Hugona Kołłątaja w Krakowie), located in Kraków, Poland, became a university by decree of the Council of Ministers as of 28 September 1972. Formerly, it was known as the Higher College of Agriculture, as well as other names, since its establishment in 1890.

Embassy International School (Polish: Szkoła Międzynarodowa) is an international school in Krakow, Poland, offering A levels. It serves an age range of 3 to 18/19.Embassy International School offers education for the international and local community of all ages, from 3 to 19, from Nursery (Kindergarten) to the end of high school exams (A levels). Their pupils are recruited from the expat community as well as the local community and represent more than 25 nationalities.

Jagiellonian Library (Polish: Biblioteka Jagiellońska, popular nickname Jagiellonka) is the library of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and with almost 6.7 million volumes, one of the largest libraries in Poland, serving as a public library, university library and part of the Polish national library system. It has a large collection of medieval manuscripts, for example Copernicus' De Revolutionibus and Jan Długosz's Banderia Prutenorum, and a large collection of underground literature (so-called drugi obieg or samizdat) from the period of communist rule in Poland (1945–1989). The Jagiellonian also houses the Berlinka art collection, whose legal status is in dispute with Germany.

The Berlinka ('Berliner'), also depozyt berliński and skarb pruski ('Prussian Treasure'), is the Polish name for a collection of German original manuscripts originally kept at the Prussian State Library in Berlin, which since the end of World War II are held by the Jagiellonian Library in Kraków. The legal status of the documents is subject of an ongoing debate.

Krowodrza is one of 18 districts of Kraków, located in the western part of the city. The name Krowodrza comes from a village of same name that is now a part of the district. According to the Central Statistical Office data, the district's area is 5.62 square kilometres (2.17 square miles) and 31 870 people inhabit Krowodrza.

Łaski's Statute(s) (Polish: Statut(y) Łaskiego, Latin: Commune Incliti Poloniae regni privilegium constitutionum et indultuum publicitus decretorum approbatorumque), of 1505, was the first codification of law published in the Kingdom of Poland. The printing in 1506 was the first illustrated printing in Poland.

The Prussian Homage (Polish: Hołd pruski) is an oil on canvas painting by Polish painter Jan Matejko painted between 1879 and 1882 in Kraków (then part of Austria-Hungary). The painting depicts the "Prussian Homage," a significant political event from the time of the Renaissance in Poland in which Albrecht of Hohenzollern, the Duke of Prussia paid tribute and swore allegiance to King Sigismund I the Old in Kraków's market square on 10 April 1525. Matejko depicted over thirty important figures of the Polish Renaissance period, taking the liberty of including several who were not actually present at the event. The painting glorifies this event in Poland's past and its culture, and the majesty of its kings. At the same time, the painting has darker undertones, reflecting the troubled times that befell Poland in the late eighteenth century, for the Kingdom of Prussia would become one of the partitioning powers that ended the independence of Poland. The painting was seen by some as anti-Prussian, foretelling its perceived betrayal of Poland; others have noted it is also critical of Poland, as Matejko included signs that signify this seemingly triumphant moment was a hollow, wasted victory. Matejko created his painting to remind others about the history of the no-longer-independent country he loved, and about the changing fates of history. The painting is counted among his masterpieces.

The National Museum in Kraków (Polish: Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie), popularly abbreviated as MNK, is the largest museum in Poland, and the main branch of Poland's National Museum, which has several independent branches with permanent collections around the country. Established in 1879, the Museum consists of 21 departments which are divided by art period: 11 galleries, 2 libraries, and 12 conservation workshops. It holds some 780,000 art objects, spanning from classical archeology to modern art, with special focus on Polish painting.
