Łaski's Statute

The Prussian Homage (Polish: Hołd pruski) is an oil on canvas painting by Polish painter Jan Matejko painted between 1879 and 1882 in Kraków (then part of Austria-Hungary). The painting depicts the "Prussian Homage," a significant political event from the time of the Renaissance in Poland in which Albrecht of Hohenzollern, the Duke of Prussia paid tribute and swore allegiance to King Sigismund I the Old in Kraków's market square on 10 April 1525. Matejko depicted over thirty important figures of the Polish Renaissance period, taking the liberty of including several who were not actually present at the event. The painting glorifies this event in Poland's past and its culture, and the majesty of its kings. At the same time, the painting has darker undertones, reflecting the troubled times that befell Poland in the late eighteenth century, for the Kingdom of Prussia would become one of the partitioning powers that ended the independence of Poland. The painting was seen by some as anti-Prussian, foretelling its perceived betrayal of Poland; others have noted it is also critical of Poland, as Matejko included signs that signify this seemingly triumphant moment was a hollow, wasted victory. Matejko created his painting to remind others about the history of the no-longer-independent country he loved, and about the changing fates of history. The painting is counted among his masterpieces.

The National Museum in Kraków (Polish: Muzeum Narodowe w Krakowie), popularly abbreviated as MNK, is the largest museum in Poland, and the main branch of Poland's National Museum, which has several independent branches with permanent collections around the country. Established in 1879, the Museum consists of 21 departments which are divided by art period: 11 galleries, 2 libraries, and 12 conservation workshops. It holds some 780,000 art objects, spanning from classical archeology to modern art, with special focus on Polish painting.

Jagiellonian Library (Polish: Biblioteka Jagiellońska, popular nickname Jagiellonka) is the library of the Jagiellonian University in Kraków and with almost 6.7 million volumes, one of the largest libraries in Poland, serving as a public library, university library and part of the Polish national library system. It has a large collection of medieval manuscripts, for example Copernicus' De Revolutionibus and Jan Długosz's Banderia Prutenorum, and a large collection of underground literature (so-called drugi obieg or samizdat) from the period of communist rule in Poland (1945–1989). The Jagiellonian also houses the Berlinka art collection, whose legal status is in dispute with Germany.

The Berlinka ('Berliner'), also depozyt berliński and skarb pruski ('Prussian Treasure'), is the Polish name for a collection of German original manuscripts originally kept at the Prussian State Library in Berlin, which since the end of World War II are held by the Jagiellonian Library in Kraków. The legal status of the documents is subject of an ongoing debate.

Stained Glass Workshop and Museum (Polish: Pracownia i Muzeum Witrażu) - a specialty museum in Krakow, Poland dedicated to stained glass art and history.

The British International School of Cracow is a co-educational private school in Kraków, Poland. It was founded on 1 September 1995 to provide expatriate children with a British education. The school accepts children from 3–19 years of age, and serves 210 students from 20 countries.

Muzeum Czynu Niepodległościowego is a museum in Kraków, Poland. It was established in 1922.

AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, AGH UST is a public university in Krakow, Poland.The university was founded in 1913, and its inauguration took place in 1919.The AGH UST is a modern university which focuses on creating innovative technologies. The research profile of the university includes engineering disciplines, exact sciences, Earth sciences, and social sciences, with an emphasis on current priorities of economy and business. The university is one of 10 Polish higher education institutions that has been given the title of a research university.The university comprises, among other units, 16 faculties, a research centre – the AGH UST Academic Centre for Materials and Nanotechnology, and other didactic centres and departments. The AGH UST offers three levels of education: first-cycle, second-cycle, and third-cycle (doctoral schools). The university educates more than 20,000 students and employs almost 2,000 academic staff (including more than 200 professors and more than 500 associate professors). In international rankings, the AGH UST regularly ranks first among Polish technical universities, for example, in The Center for World University Rankings 2021 or the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2021.

Stadion Cracovii im. Józefa Piłsudskiego (Polish: Józef Piłsudski's Cracovia Stadium) is a football stadium located in Kraków, Poland. It is used mostly for football matches and it is the home ground of Cracovia. Originally, the first Cracovia stadium was built in 1912. It was demolished in mid-2009. From then until late 2010 entirely new construction was raised in roughly the same location where the old stadium stood. After reconstruction the stadium holds 15,114 people. The stadium meets the criteria for UEFA Category 3the stadium's design and construction has been frequently awarded in many architectural contests. In 2010 it was honored with the Janusza Bogdanowskiego award, given by the Archi-Szopa Association for the best architectural construction in Kraków City. The stadium is located south of Błonia Park (in the Zwierzyniec district of Cracovia), near the stadium of Cracovia's archrival Wisła Kraków. The stadium is named after Polish legendary Chief of State – Marshal Józef PiłsudskiThe 9 October 2016 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification match Ukraine v Kosovo was played in the stadium due to Ukraine's non-recognition of Kosovo's travel documents.

Kossakówka Manor is the historic home of the Kossak family located at 4 Plac Kossaka in Kraków, Poland. The family moved into the home in 1869. It is officially classified as a monument since 1960.

The Agricultural University of Kraków (Polish: Uniwersytet Rolniczy im. Hugona Kołłątaja w Krakowie), located in Kraków, Poland, became a university by decree of the Council of Ministers as of 28 September 1972. Formerly, it was known as the Higher College of Agriculture, as well as other names, since its establishment in 1890.

The EUROPEUM – European Culture Centre is a division of the Kraków National Museum housing a permanent exhibition of European art. Placed on two floors in a restored 17th century granary, the museum was opened to the public on 13 September 2013.
