Zebrzydowice [zɛbʐɨdɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village and the seat of Gmina Zebrzydowice, Cieszyn County in Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic. It lies in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia, on the Piotrówka River. There is a rail border crossing in the village. The name of the village is patronymic in origin, derived from personal name Zebrzyd (≤ German Sivrid/Siegfrid), ending alternately with typically Slavic -(ow)ice/(ow)itz or German -dorf meaning a village.

Its seat is the village of Zebrzydowice. The gmina covers an area of 41.68 square kilometres (16.1 sq mi), and as of 2019 its total population is 13,240.

The name is cultural in origin, literally paradise, fertile and beautiful land.

Freistadt District (German: Politischer Bezirk Freistadt, Czech: Politický okres Fryštát, Polish: Powiat polityczny Frysztat) was a political district (equivalent to okres in the Czech Republic and powiat in Poland) in Austrian Silesia, Austria-Hungary existing between 1868 and 1920 (superseded by Czechoslovak Okres Fryštát).
