Brampton, Norfolk

Brampton railway station serves the village of Brampton in Norfolk and is operated by the Bure Valley Railway, a narrow gauge heritage railway operation.

Buxton is a village in the parish of Buxton with Lamas, in the Broadland district of the county of Norfolk, England. It is located between Norwich and Aylsham, and is separated from Lamas by the River Bure. In 2021, it had a population of 1,295.

Stratton Strawless is a village in the county of Norfolk and district of Broadland. The civil parish covers 714 acres (289 ha) and has a population of 495, increasing to a population of 580 in the 2011 Census. Located close and to the east of the A140 road and being 4.5 miles (7.2 km) south of the market town of Aylsham and some 7 miles (11 km) north of Norwich. Much of the parish has been given over to the growing of arable crops, but there are substantial amounts of mixed woodland to be found.

Hevingham is a village and civil parish in the Broadland district of the English county of Norfolk. Situated between the A140 road Norwich to Cromer road and the B1149 road Norwich to Holt road. It is 7 miles (11 km) north from the city of Norwich and 4 miles (6.4 km) south from the market town of Aylsham. Hevingham parish covers a wide area—11.66 square kilometres (4.50 sq mi). The village has grown slightly since the 1891 census (which showed a population of 760) to its level of 1,150 in 452 households as shown in 2001 census. then a population of 1,260 in 485 households at the 2011 Census.

Oxnead is a lost settlement and former civil parish, now in the parish of Brampton, in the Broadland district, in the county of Norfolk, England. It is roughly three miles south-east of Aylsham. It now consists mostly of St Michael's Church and Oxnead Hall. The hall was the principal residence of the Paston family from 1597 until the death of William Paston, 2nd Earl of Yarmouth in 1732. Under Sir William Paston (1610–1663), Oxnead was the site of several works by the architect and sculptor, Nicholas Stone, master-mason to Kings James I and Charles I. In 1931 the parish had a population of 66.

The Bure Valley Path is a 9-mile (14 km) long walking trail and cycling trail in Norfolk, England. It runs alongside the Bure Valley Railway, a heritage railway from Wroxham to Aylsham.

Marsham is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk, about 10 miles (16 km) north of Norwich. It covers an area of 7.40 km2 (2.86 sq mi) and had a population of 674 in 282 households at the 2001 census.For local government purposes, it falls within the district of Broadland. Marsham has its own Parish Council, Marsham Parish Council.

Buxton Lamas was a railway station in Buxton with Lamas, Norfolk. It was located near the Bure Valley Railway's present Buxton station.

St Faith's and Aylsham Rural Districts were adjacent rural districts in Norfolk, England from 1894 to 1935.They were formed under the Local Government Act 1894 based on rural sanitary districts of the same names, and lay to the north of Norwich. In 1935 some northern parts of Aylsham RD were variously transferred to Walsingham, Erpingham and Smallburgh RDs. The remainder, and the whole of St Faith's RD, were merged to form St Faith's and Aylsham Rural District. Changes to the border with Norwich County Borough were made in 1907, 1951 and 1968. In 1974, the merged district was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, and became part of the Broadland district.

Burgh and Tuttington is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 6.70 km2 (2.59 sq mi) and had a population of 255 in 115 households at the 2001 census, increasing to a population of 322 in 140 households at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Broadland. The parish includes Burgh next Aylsham and Tuttington. Burgh next Aylsham has a grade I listed church dedicated to Mary, which features a notable fifteenth-century baptismal font. The church was restored in the late nineteenth century by Richard Phipson. Tuttington church of SS Peter and Paul is a grade II* listed building.
