Stedum

Stedum is a railway station located in Stedum, The Netherlands. The station was opened on 15 June 1884 and is located on the Groningen–Delfzijl railway. The train services are operated by Arriva.

Usually mentioned as synonym for the province in the expression Stad en Ommeland ("city and surrounding lands"). Huizinge (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈɦœyzɪŋə]; Gronings: Hoezen [ˈɦuːzn̩]) is a village with a population of 100 in the municipality of Eemsdelta in the province of Groningen in the northeast of the Netherlands. On 16 August 2012, the heaviest induced earthquake in the Netherlands with a magnitude of 3.6 occurred with its epicentre in Huizinge.

Startenhuizen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈstɑrtə(n)ˌɦœyzə(n)]) is a hamlet at the border of the municipals Het Hogeland and Eemsdelta in the northeastern Netherlands. It is divided in two parts, the biggest in Eemsdelta, and a few farms in Het Hogeland. Startenhuizen is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Startenhuizen. It had place name signs, however some have been removed.The hamlet was first mentioned in 1391 as "to Stertingahusum". The etymology is unclear. In 1590, the church was demolished, and never replaced. Startenhuizen was home to 112 people in 1840. Nowadays, it consists of about 17 houses.

Winneweer (pronounced [ˈʋɪnəʋeːr]) is a small village in the municipalities of Eemsdelta and Groningen in the Dutch province of Groningen. The village was first mentioned in 1668 as "Winne-weer, een Logijs-plaets", and refers to an inn which was located near Garrelsweer, and is nowadays a pub. The etymology is unclear.Before 1850, there was hardly any habitation in Winneweer. After 1850, industry started to settle in Winneweer. A saw mill turned into a wood factory, a dairy factory and a brickworks followed. Winneweer consists of about 50 houses.

It is located in the municipality of Eemsdelta. Middelstum was a separate municipality until 1990, when it was merged with Loppersum.

Eppenhuizen is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Groningen. It had a population of around 50 in January 2017.
