Tilda is the brand name used since 1970 for a rice and related food products company now headquartered in Rainham, England and with offices in Dubai, (UAE) and Delhi (India).Its basmati rice is the top-selling rice in the United Kingdom. Since 1994, they have operated Tilda Foodservice, providing professional kitchens with a variety of uncooked dry and frozen rice products. The brand is now over 50 years old, selling a variety of product and not just their basmati rice but other varieties of dry rice, microwave convenience rice as well as a range of rice suitable for children. The company was purchased in 2014 by US group Hain Celestial. Hain Celestial Group sold the company to Spanish group Ebro Foods in August 2019.

Frog Island is a peninsula on the north bank of the River Thames in Rainham, London at grid reference TQ515805. It is used for vehicle storage in Ferry Lane Industrial Estate and for the mechanical biological treatment works building of the East London Waste Authority.

Coldharbour is an area of the London Borough of Havering by the River Thames and southwest of the Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve. It is the location of Coldharbour Point, where there has been a lighthouse since 1885. This point is adjacent to the town of Erith in Bexley, across the Thames. The nearest accessible settlement on land is the town of Rainham, which is connected by Coldharbour Lane; the village of Wennington is also nearby but not accessible by road (both are separated by the A13 and marshlands). The area around the point is mainly industrial land known as the Freightmaster Estate depot. The London Loop passes through Coldharbour on its way east to Purfleet in Thurrock.

The London Outer Orbital Path — more usually the "London LOOP" — is a 150-mile (242 km) signed walk along public footpaths, and through parks, woods and fields around the edge of Outer London, England, described as "the M25 for walkers". The walk begins at Erith on the south bank of the River Thames and passes clockwise through Crayford, Petts Wood, Coulsdon, Banstead, Ewell, Kingston upon Thames, Uxbridge, Elstree, Cockfosters, Chingford, Chigwell, Grange Hill and Upminster Bridge before ending at Purfleet, almost directly across the Thames from its starting point. Between these settlements the route passes through green buffers and some of the highest points in Greater London.

Erith station serves Erith in the London Borough of Bexley, southeast London. It is 14 miles 18 chains (22.9 km) measured from London Charing Cross. The station stands between Belvedere and Slade Green on the North Kent line and is served by Greenwich line trains running from the station westbound generally to Cannon Street via London Bridge and eastbound to Dartford or to Central London via the Dartford loop and Sidcup. The station buildings date from the opening of the line in 1849.

Erith ( (listen)) is an area in south-east London, England, 13.3 miles (21.4 km) east of Charing Cross. Before the creation of Greater London in 1965, it was in the historical county of Kent. Since 1965 it has formed part of the London Borough of Bexley. It lies north-east of Bexleyheath and north-west of Dartford, on the south bank of the River Thames. The town centre has been modernised with further dwellings added since 1961. The curved riverside high street has three listed buildings, including the Church of England church and the Carnegie Building. Erith otherwise consists mainly of suburban housing. It is linked to central London and Kent by rail and to Thamesmead by a dual carriageway. It has the longest pier in London, and retains a coastal environment with salt marshes alongside industrial land.

Erith was a local government district in north west Kent from 1876 to 1965 around the town of Erith. It also included the generally suburban areas of Northumberland Heath, Belvedere, and parts of Barnehurst, Bexleyheath, Crayford and the SE2 London Postal District of Abbey Wood.

Rainham railway station is on the London, Tilbury and Southend line, serving the town of Rainham in the London Borough of Havering, east London. Historically in the county of Essex, in official literature the station is sometimes shown as Rainham (Essex) in order to distinguish it from the station of the same name in Kent.It is 12 miles 54 chains (20.4 km) down the line from London Fenchurch Street and it is situated between Dagenham Dock to the west and Purfleet to the east. Its three-letter station code is RNM and it is within Travelcard zone 6. It was opened in 1854. The station and all trains serving it are currently operated by c2c.

Erith Town Football Club is a football club based in Erith in the London Borough of Bexley, England. They are currently members of the Southern Counties East League Premier Division and play at the Erith Sports Stadium.
