The new Aberdeen stadium is a football stadium under early stages of construction in Kingswells, Aberdeen, Scotland. The new stadium, called Kingsford Stadium, would be the home of Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen FC to replace the existing Pittodrie Stadium. The development, 10.4 kilometres (6.5 mi) to the west of Aberdeen city centre, received planning approval from Aberdeen City Council in January 2018. Construction began in July 2018, with the first phase, a training facility named Cormack Park, opened in October 2019. The stadium had been scheduled for completion by 2023, but in the midst of disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Scotland, the club confirmed that the project had been put on hiatus, and in 2021 alternative designs at the city's beachfront close to Pittodrie were released.

Kingswells is a village and suburb of Aberdeen, Scotland, situated west of the city and to the east of Westhill. Kingswells has existed as a village for centuries, but only beginning in the 1980s did it expand as a result of the boom in the oil industry. Kingswells accommodates many facilities suited for everybody and is famous for its spacious family homes amongst a leafy, affluent setting. It has a wide range of local amenities including; a primary school, convenience store, doctor's surgery, veterinary surgery and two community halls. In the nearby mile radius, there is also a business complex with a hotel, home to a Starbucks and a luxury gym. It doesn't include a secondary school however, there are school buses which run within the community providing efficient transport to nearby neighbouring secondary schools such as Bucksburn Academy. The village is served by regular bus services Monday to Friday (Park and Ride only at weekends); the 14 operates via the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Hospital to the city and the new services of; 4, 5, 6, and 6A, which operate from the Park and Ride via Queens Road to the city. There are also services that operate to Countesswells, Westhill, Elrick and Alford (218). Kingswells also has easy access to Bridge of Don and Dyce via the AWPR, convenient for people working at the Airport and Industrial Estates.

It takes in students that come from other countries besides the UK, although British students are allowed to attend the school. It was formerly known as the American School in Aberdeen. It is one of four IB World Schools in Scotland that offers the IB Diploma Programme. The other three are St Leonards School, St Andrews, Fettes College, Edinburgh and George Watson’s College, Edinburgh.

Brimmond Hill is a hill in Aberdeen, Scotland. The summit is the highest point within the Aberdeen City council area, at an elevation of 266 m (873 ft). The hill itself is situated in the area between Kingswells, Westhill, Blackburn and Dyce. There is a transmitter on the top of the hill, and there are also paths and a road to the top of the hill. The hill can be reached directly from paths that connect to Kingswells, and at the summit a view across the city of Aberdeen is available.

Milltimber is a suburb of Aberdeen, Scotland, around 6 miles (10 km) west of Aberdeen city centre. From 1854 to 1937 the area was served by Milltimber railway station on the Aberdeen suburban railway. Along with the nearby settlements of Cults and Bieldside, it is home to some of the wealthiest residents of Aberdeen. Facilities in Milltimber are somewhat lacking, with the nearest shop situated in neighbouring Bieldside. However, it is home to a highly rated primary school, a church, and a community building which is used for private functions as well as Boy Scout and Girl Guide troops and similar. Kippie Lodge is a sports and social club, with a 9-hole golf course, swimming pool, sports complex, creche and restaurant. Next to the lodge are the playing fields of the independent Albyn School. In 2009, property website Zoopla listed Milltimber's postcode, AB13, as the most expensive in Scotland with an average house price of £422,760.

Milltimber railway station served the Milltimber area within the parish of Peterculter from 1854 to 1937 on the Deeside Railway that ran from Aberdeen (Joint) to Ballater. This area at that time had a number of mansion houses, estates, etc. such as Culter House, Fairgirth House, Camphill House, Avondow House, Glasterberry House, etc. whose workers, etc. would have used the station. Milltimber was only a short distance from Murtle station. The station was named for the nearby Milltimber Farm.

Westhill Academy is an Aberdeenshire Council secondary school in Westhill, near Aberdeen, Scotland, serving the Westhill, Elrick and Skene areas of Aberdeenshire as well as some students from Kingswells. Its main feeder schools are Westhill Primary, Crombie Primary School, Elrick Primary, Skene Primary and Kingswells Primary. School transport, before and after school, is provided for students who live in Skene. Pupils from nearby Kingswells, which is in the neighbouring Aberdeen City council area, are at liberty to use the regular bus services which exist between the two towns. Westhill Academy opened in the autumn of 1979 with buildings designed to accommodate 500 pupils. The school was extended in 1982 and then again in 1996 raising the capacity of the school to 1000 pupils. The roll of the school, in recent years, has fluctuated between 890 and 1200 pupils. In 2019 the school celebrated its 40th anniversary. It was celebrated by inviting current and ex staff members to look at year books and to see how it has changed through the years.There has been much talk about expanding the school yet again or even building a new school elsewhere in Westhill due to the town's rising population but no plans have been made official. The 2014 local development plan estimated that the school would be at 91% capacity by 2016.

The Deeside Way is a 41-mile (66 km) rail trail that follows, in part, the bed of the former Deeside Railway in Aberdeenshire. Forming part of the National Cycle Network (National Route 195) the trail leads from Aberdeen to Ballater.

Peterculter , also known as Culter, is an outer suburb of Aberdeen, Scotland, about eight miles (13 km) from the city centre. It lies on the north bank of the River Dee, at its confluence with the Culter Burn. Following the 1996 Scottish council boundary changes it became part of the Lower Deeside ward in the Aberdeen City council area.
