The Post Office Building in Chorzów (Polish: Gmach poczty w Chorzowie) is a public service building erected between 1891 and 1892 and expanded in 1911. It is located in Chorzów, Poland, and is listed in the register of immovable monuments of the Silesian Voivodeship.

Chorzów ( KHOZH-oof; Polish: [ˈxɔʐuf] (listen); German: Königshütte [ˈkøːnɪçsˌhʏtə]; Silesian: Chorzōw) is a city in the Silesia region of southern Poland, near Katowice. Chorzów is one of the central cities of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union – a metropolis with a population of 2 million. It is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Rawa River (a tributary of the Vistula). Administratively, Chorzów is in the Silesian Voivodeship since 1999, previously Katowice Voivodeship, and before then, the Silesian Voivodeship. Chorzów is one of the cities of the 2.7 million conurbation – the Katowice urban area and within a greater Silesian metropolitan area with the population of about 5,294,000 people. The population within the city limits is 105,628 as of December 2021.

Prezydent Shaft (Polish: Szyb Prezydent) is a former coal-mine headframe (winding tower) in Chorzów, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. The reinforced-concrete, single-strut tower is about 42 metres tall and carries two rope sheaves 5.5 metres in diameter. It forms part of the Sztygarka complex, which reuses surviving mine buildings—including former foremen's housing—for hospitality and cultural events. The site is included in the Silesian Industrial Monuments Route.

Chorzów power station is a thermal power plant located in Chorzów, Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. It has been in operation since 1898, since 2003 under the name Elcho. Currently (2012), the plant produces electrical power (generating capacity of 204 MW) as well as heat (500 MW) for district heating, based on hard coal.

The Upper Silesian Ethnographic Park (Polish: Górnośląski Park Etnograficzny) is an open-air museum in Chorzów, Poland. It is referred to as a skansen, stemming from the first open-air museum of its kind, the Skansen in Stockholm, Sweden. The area of the park is 25 hectare. The museum presents a range of agricultural buildings from all over Silesia. Amongst those are cottages from the Beskids, farmsteads from the Pszczyna region, a wooden church from Nieboczowy dating from the 18th century, and a large number of buildings and artifacts from Istebna in Cieszyn Silesia.

Chorzów Stary (literally Old Chorzów) is a district of Chorzów, Silesian Voivodeship, southern Poland.

The Stadion Śląski (English: Silesian Stadium) is a sport stadium located on the premises of Silesian Park in Chorzów, Poland. The stadium has a fully covered capacity of 55,211, after a recent refurbishment completed in October 2017. The stadium hosted many Poland national football team matches and for many decades was Poland's national stadium. After the National Stadium in Warsaw had been completed, the Silesian Stadium lost that role. The stadium was not in operation between 2009 and 2017 due to its ongoing reconstruction. Silesian Stadium is a UEFA Category 4 stadium and hosts the annual Kamila Skolimowska Memorial, a Diamond League meeting. The stadium will also host the athletics events of the 2023 European Games and the 2028 European Athletics Championships.

Chorzów Batory (formerly Bismarckhütte, Hajduki Wielkie, 1941–1945 Königshütte-Bismarck) is a district of the Polish city of Chorzów, in Silesian Voivodeship. Until early 1939, it was a separate municipality. One of the most renowned football clubs in Poland, Ruch Chorzów, is based there.

The Stadion Ruchu (Ruch Stadium), also known as the Stadion przy Cichej (Cicha Street Stadium), is a multi-purpose stadium in the Batory district of the town Chorzów, Poland. Built in the years 1934-1935 for the successful Ruch Wielkie Hajduki team and currently is also used mostly for football matches and serves as the home of that club, now known as Ruch Chorzów. The stadium has a capacity of 9,300 people.

Żabie Doły is a nature and landscape protected area in Silesia, Poland. The Żabie Doły complex is located entirely within the Silesian Metropolis and encompasses land heavily altered by human activity. The protected area covers 2.262 km² . At Żabie Doły, 129 species of birds have been identified, including 70 nesting species and 17 species rare in the region. Other fauna and flora is also well represented. The name ""Żabie Doły" can be roughly translated as "Frog Ditches".

Osiedle Tysiąclecia (Millennial District) is a district of Katowice and one of the largest districts in Poland. It is located in the northern part of Katowice, on the land once occupied by the villages of Bederowiec, Sośnina and east Klimzowiec. The construction of the district began in 1961 during the times of the People's Republic of Poland. The name was chosen as 1961 was a 1000th anniversary of the founding of Poland. It has an area of 1.88 km2 and in 2007 had 23,501 inhabitants.The district is bordered by the town of Chorzów on the west, on the east by ul. Bracka (Bracka street), on the south by the Rawa and Załęże district and on the north by Silesian Park (Park Śląski). The district is formed by several dozens of high apartment buildings of up to several dozen meters each. The largest of those are the "Kukurydze" (the Corn on a Cob) of 82 metres height (24 floors), which makes them the second tallest apartment buildings in Poland.

The Silesian Planetarium also Silesian Planetarium and Astronomical Observatory (Polish: Planetarium Śląskie Polish: Śląskie Planetarium i Obserwatorium Astronomiczne) is the largest and oldest planetarium in Poland. It was founded on 4 December 1955 to commemorate the great astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. It is located in the Silesian Central Park, on the boundary between the Katowice and Chorzów districts of the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union.
