Merdekarya is a live music bar in Section 5, Petaling Jaya near the city's old town district that was established in 2013. Located primarily on the first floor of a commercial shoplot in inner suburban Petaling Jaya, it is one of the few venues in Malaysia dedicated to independent music artistes.

The Pantai Dalam Komuter station is a KTM Komuter train station in Pantai Dalam, Lembah Pantai and served by the Port Klang Line. The station is built to cater the traffic in Pantai Dalam, as well as the northern parts of Jalan Klang Lama (i.e. Taman Desa, Scott Garden, Kuchai Lama). The Pantai Dalam station usually busy during rush hours, public holidays and weekends as it is used by worker to reach offices.

Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple is a Hindu temple located along Jalan Selangor in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. It is also generally referred to as the PJ Pillaiyar Temple. The resident deity is Ganesha in the form of Sri Sithi Vinayagar. The temple is said to be the largest temple in Malaysia dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The temple was completed in 1964 following Dravidian architecture and remains one of the main Hindu temples serving the religious needs of the Hindu population of Petaling Jaya. It is run by the Petaling Jaya Hindu Association.

Happy Garden or Taman Gembira in Malay, is a township near Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Nearby housing areas include Taman United and Taman OUG. Residents in Happy Garden are from many different races and ethnics but mostly they are Chinese and Indians . Condominiums that are located at Happy Garden are Kuchai Brempark , Kuchai Brempark 2 , ARTE condominium, Continental Heights, Desa Cindaimas, Desa Gembira, Meadow Park, Seringin Residences, Le Yuen Residence, G Residence and Bukit Gembira Condoinium. Shopping centres that are located in Happy Garden are Plaza OUG (which houses brands like Parkson and Giant), Central Supermarket (but was closed down in 2012), Pearl Point Shopping Mall, Carrefour and The Store. Mid Valley Megamall in Mid Valley City is a 15-minute drive away, through Old Klang Road. There are also food courts and restaurants within the neighborhood, and the township has a night market on every Monday. There is a wet market every day from 6am to 10 am where many groceries can be bought.

Wat Chetawan (Thai: วัดเชตวัน; RTGS: Wat Chetawan) (also called as the Chetawan Buddhist Temple) is a Thai temple in Petaling District, Selangor, Malaysia. The temple is situated at Jalan Pantai, off Jalan Gasing in Petaling Jaya. It was built in 1957 and officiated by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand at the time. The temple is also the only Malaysian Siamese temple which has been chosen as the custodian of the Buddha sacred relics for all Malaysian Buddhists that are parts of the ancient relics discovered in Piprahwa, a village in Uttar Pradesh near the border of the Kingdom of Nepal in 1898 which were presented to King Chulalongkorn of Siam by the then British Viceroy of India, Lord Curzon.

Bible College of Malaysia (BCM) is a denominational seminary affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Malaysia. It is located in the city of Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Established in 1960, BCM is accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA) and is a charter member of the Asia Pacific Theological Association (APTA).
