East Valley School District (Spokane, Washington)

Spokane Valley is a city in Spokane County, Washington, United States, and the largest suburb of Spokane. It is located east of Spokane, west of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and surrounds the city of Millwood on three sides. The city incorporated as the City of Spokane Valley on March 31, 2003. The population was 102,976 at the 2020 census, making it the eighth-largest city in Washington state. Spokane Valley is named after the valley of the Spokane River, in which it is located. The city and the general area is colloquially referred to as "The Valley" by residents of the Spokane–Coeur d'Alene area. Spokane Valley hosts a variety of community events such as the Spokane County Interstate Fair, Valleyfest, and the Inland Northwest Craft Beer Festival and is home to the Spokane Valley Heritage Museum and the home ground of the Spokane Indians minor league baseball team.

Trentwood is a locale and former census-designated place (CDP) in Spokane County, Washington, United States, east across the Spokane River from Irwin. The population was 4,388 at the 2000 census. Trentwood joined the other unincorporated communities in the region to form the city of Spokane Valley in 2003.

The mall opened in 1997 featuring Sears, JCPenney, and The Bon Marche.On November 7, 2019, it was announced that Sears would be closing this location a part of a plan to close 96 stores nationwide. The store closed in February 2020.

According to its NRHP nomination, "is a landmark example of the French Eclectic architectural style and is one of the most unique properties in the Spokane area."When the Millwood Historic District was added to the NRHP in 2001, the Rosebush House was listed as a contributing property to the district.

Valley Christian School is a private Christian school located in Spokane Valley, Washington, United States. The school was founded in 1974 located in the previous University High School in Spokane Valley. It is a non-denominational, non-profit 501C3 school, and is accredited by ACSI and NASC. It is approved by the State of Washington and enrolls students in grades PreK-12. The school promotes itself as providing a biblical worldview education for Christian families desiring a discipleship based Christian day school, and nearly 60 churches are represented in the families enrolled. The school maintains maximum class sizes of 25 in the elementary and 30 in the secondary, with an average class of 18 students.On July 27, 2017, the school purchased the old University building that it been leasing for ten years at a price of $4.41 million from the Central Valley School District.The school's most successful interscholastic competitive team is its Knowledge Bowl team, which frequently makes deep runs at the state tournament, including state championships in 2013 and 2022.

East Valley High School (also known as EVHS) is a large public high school located in Spokane Valley, Washington at the corner of Sullivan and Wellesley. East Valley provides educational opportunities to nearly 1,000 students in grades 9–12. Located on a scenic 40-acre (160,000 m2) site, the high school campus includes athletic fields, two gyms, twelve tennis courts, a track, and a fitness center.
