The Tarnów Town Hall is a 15th century town hall in Tarnów, Poland. It is on the register of monuments in Poland. The town hall is located in Tarnów's market square.

Tarnów Voivodeship (Polish: województwo tarnowskie) was a unit of administrative division and local government in Poland in years 1975–1998, superseded by a much larger Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Its capital city was Tarnów. Located in southeastern part of the country, its area was 4,151 km2. (which was 1.3% of the total area of Poland). Tarnów (Polish pronunciation: [ˈtarnuf] ) is a city in southeastern Poland with 105,922 inhabitants and a metropolitan area population of 269,000 inhabitants. The city is situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship since 1999. From 1975 to 1998, it was the capital of the Tarnów Voivodeship. It is a major rail junction, located on the strategic east–west connection from Lviv to Kraków, and two additional lines, one of which links the city with the Slovak border. Tarnów is known for its traditional Polish architecture, which was influenced by foreign cultures and foreigners that once lived in the area, most notably Jews, Germans and Austrians. The Old Town, featuring 16th century tenements, houses and defensive walls, has been preserved. Tarnów is also the warmest city of Poland, with the highest long-term mean annual temperature in the whole country.Companies headquartered in the city include Poland's largest chemical industry company Grupa Azoty and defence industry company ZMT. The city is currently subdivided into 16 districts and is a member of the Association of Polish Cities (Związek Miast Polskich).

Cathedral Square in Tarnów (Polish: Plac Katedralny w Tarnowie) is a town square in the Old Town of Tarnów, located between Katedralna Street and Kapitulna Street, adjacent to the Market Square to the southeast. The square was established during the city's foundation on 7 March 1330. At the same time, construction began on the Gothic Tarnów Cathedral, which still stands today. Over the centuries, the square evolved through numerous construction projects, achieving its modern form at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Cathedral Basilica of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Polish: Bazylika katedralna Narodzenia Najświętszej Maryi Panny w Tarnowie ) also called Tarnów Cathedral is a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church and is located in the city of Tarnów in the European country of Poland.It is a Gothic church, rebuilt in later periods. The building has three naves with an elongated chancel and west tower added that one rises 72 meters. It is a cathedral dedicated to the Nativity of the Virgin Mary from 1783 and Basilica since 1972. In the oldest part of the church was built at the current location of the city in 1330. It was visited by Pope John Paul II in 1987.

The Diocese of Tarnów (Latin: Dioecesis Tarnoviensis) is a Latin diocese of the Catholic Church in Poland. According to Church statistics, it is the most religious diocese in Poland, with 72.5% weekly Mass attendance.

The Mikołajowski House in Tarnów (also known as the Mikołajowskis' House, Kornuszowski House, or Koruszowska Tenement) is a historic Gothic-Renaissance building located at Cathedral Square in Tarnów. It was built in the 16th century and has served various functions throughout the centuries, including as a residence for the clergy, housing schools, the District Health Center, and the Museum of Hygiene. Since the conservation work carried out in the late 1940s and early 1950s, it has been home to the exhibition halls of the Tarnów Diocesan Museum. It is considered the oldest tenement in the city.

Akademiola in Tarnów (also known as scholasteria or chapter house) is a historic building located at 5 Cathedral Square in Tarnów. It was likely created by merging two other structures: the parish school building and the infirmary for collegiate vicars, built around the mid-16th century. Over its history, it was used, among other purposes, as the seat of educational institutions. Today, it is utilized by the Tarnów Diocesan Museum.

Scholasteria (also known as the rector's house or chapter house) is a historic building located at 5 Cathedral Square in Tarnów. Built in the second half of the 16th century, it has served various residential purposes throughout its history, including as a residence for the rector of the parish school, the chancellor prelate, and the director of the Austrian gymnasium. Today, it is used by the Tarnów Diocesan Museum.

Tarnów city walls were a defensive structure consisting of a continuous wall with fortifications such as fortified towers, bastions, and city gates, once surrounding the town (now part of the Old Town). The fortifications were likely built in the 14th century and underwent multiple expansions and modernizations, particularly in the 16th century. By the 18th century, due to a period of economic decline, the outdated fortifications fell into disrepair, leading to their dismantling. The demolition process began around 1790 and was completed in the early 19th century. Today, only short sections of the former defensive walls remain.

The Florentine House in Tarnów is a historic Renaissance building located at 20 Żydowska Street in Tarnów. It was built in the second half of the 16th century and underwent several reconstructions. Since 1960 or 1962, it has housed the Tarnów branch of the Polish Tourist and Sightseeing Society.

Sanguszko Palace (also known as Tarnów County Office Building or Princely House) is a palace located at Jan Sobieski Square in Tarnów, Poland. It was constructed at the end of the 18th century, with its current form established in the first half of the 20th century. Over the centuries, it has served various purposes, including residential and administrative functions, housing offices such as the Austrian and Polish county starostwo and the voivodeship office of the Tarnów Voivodeship. During the Galician Peasant Uprising of 1846, victims of the massacre were deposited in front of the building, and the then-Tarnów starosta paid peasants a "reward" for their loyalty to the Austrian emperor. Due to its administrative role, it is commonly known as the county office building.
