Sevdah Art House (Bosnian: Art kuća Sevdaha; Serbo-Croatian Cyrillic: Арт кућа Севдаха) is a cultural museum and café located in the historic Baščaršija district of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dedicated to the preservation and celebration of sevdalinka—a traditional genre of Bosnian urban folk music—the institution serves as a hub for music, education, and cultural heritage.

Muslihudin Čekrekčija Mosque, also known as Čaršijska, is second oldest domed mosque in Sarajevo. It was constructed in 1526 in the Baščaršija area of the city, at the foot of Kovač (the center of the city's old trading center). It is raised in the mahala of Isa-Bey's turn. From the vakufnam (document bequeathing assets for religious, humanitarian, educational, or other purposes) of the founder of the mosque, Hajji Mustafa, the son of Ishak, is known to the people as Muslihudin Čekrekčija, her builder. This is also the oldest known original document written in Sarajevo. In the vakufnam, in connection with the establishment and construction of the mosque, it is written: "When a man dies, his work comes to an end, except for three things: the knowledge and skills he used, the good child who prays for him, and his enduring sadaqa [good deeds]." – translation by Mehmed HandžićSince 2004, the mosque has been under the protection of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The decision was made by the Commission for the Preservation of National Monuments at the session held from 2 to 8 November 2004 with the following members: Zeynep Ahunbay, Amra Hadžimuhamedović (chair), Dubravko Lovrenović, Ljiljana Ševo and Tina Wik, who declared the mosque the National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today its links to its commercial past remain, as it is surrounded by shops.

Brusa bezistan with its 6 roof domes it is one of the historic buildings in Sarajevo's Baščaršija from the time of the Ottoman period in the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a rectangular base and has four entrances on all four sides, and connects the craft streets Kundurdžiluk, Veliki and Mali Čurčiluk with Abadžiluk and the Baščaršija. It was built by order of the Grand Vizier Rustem-pasha Opuković in 1551. Bezistan was named after the Turkish city of Bursa, from which silk was brought to Bezistan and sold. Unlike Gazi Husrev-beg's bezistan, where groceries were originally sold, Brusa bezistan sold household items and small furniture in addition to silk. Today it is one of the museums in the city, designated as the National monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina by the Commission to preserve national monuments of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and houses one of the departments of Museum of Sarajevo.

Baščaršija (Cyrillic: Башчаршија; pronounced [baʃ.tʃǎr.ʃi.ja]) is Sarajevo's old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. Baščaršija was built in the 15th century when Isa-Beg Ishaković founded the city.Baščaršija is located on the north bank of the river Miljacka, in the municipality of Stari Grad. On Baščaršija there are several important historic buildings, such as the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and sahat-kula. Today Baščaršija is the major tourist attraction of Sarajevo.

Morića Han is a han (a roadside inn) originally built in 1551 in Sarajevo, Ottoman Empire (now Bosnia and Herzegovina). After a fire in 1697 it was reconstructed in its current form. Morića Han is one of the buildings which were financed by and belonged to Gazi Husrev-Beg's endowment (Vakuf). It is the only surviving han in Sarajevo. It is located in Baščaršija, Sarači street, in Stari Grad. Morića Han (also spelled "khan" when translated to English) is considered a true caravanserai because, when operational, it could accommodate about 300 passengers and 70 horses. Evliya Çelebi, an Ottoman traveller, wrote about his visit to Sarajevo in 1659 and described Morića Han as Hadži-Bešir's han, because Hadži-Bešir was landlord of the han then. The modern name probably comes from the surname of the han's tenants at the beginning of the 19th century, Mustafa-aga Morić and his son Ibrahim-aga Morić. However, some sources connect the name of this han with the Morić brothers who participated in rebellions against the Ottoman Empire from 1747 to 1757.The citizens of Sarajevo gathered in Morića Han on 29 July 1878, established Narodni Odbor (English: Peoples Council) and protested against the occupation of Bosnia and Herzegovina by Austria-Hungary. The han has survived several fires, most recently in December 1957 when the entire building was destroyed. It was reconstructed from 1971 to 1974 and decorated with Persian calligraphy inscriptions from poems written by Omar Khayyám. Stari Grad returned ownership of Morića Han to Gazi Husrev-Beg's endowment in 1998. Management of the endowment rents the han for business purposes that match the historical context, including a national restaurant, a Persian carpet shop, and religious societies.Morića Han is mentioned in the sevdalinka song "Vila kliče sa vrh Trebevića" used in the film When Father Was Away on Business, directed by Emir Kusturica.

Sarajevo City Hall (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian: Gradska vijećnica Sarajevo / Градска вијећница Сарајево), known as Vijećnica, is located in the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was designed in 1891 by the Czech architect Karel Pařík, but criticisms by the minister, Baron Béni Kállay, caused him to stop working on the project. It was initially the largest and most representative building of the Austro-Hungarian period in Sarajevo and served as the city hall.The building was reopened on 9 May 2014. It is the current seat and headquarters of the Mayor of Sarajevo, as well as the Sarajevo City Council.

Sarači street is one of main pedestrian streets in Sarajevo, located in Baščaršija, Stari Grad Municipality. Sarači street is named after Saraç, a Turkish word for craftsmen who are making saddles.Sarači street is connecting Ferhadija street on west and main square on Baščaršija on east, and entire street is pedestrian zone. Numerous shops with traditional handicraft products are located in this street. It can be noticed that the passage from Sarači street into Ferhadija street is a line that separating or connecting the characteristics of the eastern and western culture inherited during the rich history, as well as the entire City of Sarajevo.Sarači street is located within "Historical City Area - Sarajevo Čaršija", which is declared in 2014 as National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Emperor's Mosque (Bosnian: Careva džamija, Turkish: Hünkâr Camii) is an important landmark in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, being the first mosque to be built (1457) after the Ottoman conquest of Bosnia. It is the largest single-subdome mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina, built in the classical Ottoman style of the era.It was built by one Isaković-Hranušić who dedicated it to the Sultan, Mehmed the Conqueror, the conqueror of Constantinople. Considered one of the most beautiful mosques of the Ottoman period in the Balkans, the mosque features a roomy interior and high quality decorative details, such as the mihrab.

The Church of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel (Serbian: црква св. Арханђела Михаила и Гаврила - crkva sv. Arhanđela Mihaila i Gavrila), also known as the Old Orthodox Church, is a Serbian Orthodox church in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was established in 1539. It was, however, built on older foundations.

Šeher Ćehaja Bridge (Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian: Šeher-Ćehajina ćuprija / Шехер-Ћехајина ћуприја) is a bridge which crosses the river Miljacka in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It can be translated as "Mayor's Bridge" from the Turkish word for mayor. During Ottoman rule, 13 bridges were built in Sarajevo; one of the most impressive ones is Šeher Ćehaja Bridge. The only written document indicating the year of the erection of the bridge is a transcript of the chronogram in Mostar, indicating it was built in 994 AH (1585/1586 CE). According to the source, the bridge was constructed by a man named "Alija known as Hafizadić".The Šeher Ćehaja Bridge has been damaged several times: during the floods of 1619 and 1629, as well as in 1843 when the Miljacka destroyed two pillars during repairs by Mustafa-paša. The bridge was again damaged in 1880.

The Vilayet Printing House (Serbo-Croatian: Вилајетска штампарија, Vilajetska štamparija), originally named Sopron's Printing House (Сопронова печатња, Sopronova pečatnja), was the official printing house of the Ottoman Vilayet of Bosnia from April 1866 until the occupation of the province by Austria-Hungary in August 1878. It was the second printing house that operated in the territory of present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, founded in Sarajevo almost 350 years after the Goražde printing house ceased its activity. Its founder was Ignjat Sopron, a publisher and printer from Zemun, who sold the establishment to the Government of the Vilayet of Bosnia in October 1866. Its foundation happened in the context of modernising and Europeanising Tanzimat reforms in the Ottoman Empire. Its principal aim was to issue an official gazette of the vilayet and publish textbooks for the elementary schools of Bosnian Serbs and Croats, thus stopping their import from the Principality of Serbia and the Austrian Empire. The first newspaper to be published in Bosnia and Herzegovina was Bosanski vjestnik, a political-informative and educational weekly edited by Sopron and printed in Serbian Cyrillic. It had a pro-Serb inclination, though it generally promoted a unitary Bosnian nation, in accordance with the Ottoman policy in the province. The official gazette, the weekly Bosna, was primarily concerned with publishing and explaining laws, orders, and proclamations. Another weekly issued by the printing house was Sarajevski cvjetnik, which fiercely defended the Ottoman regime and polemicised with Serbian and Austrian newspapers that criticised it. Bosna and Sarajevski cvjetnik were bilingual, printed half in Ottoman Turkish and half in Serbo-Croatian in the Cyrillic script. The printing house produced a number of elementary school textbooks, including the second Serbian alphabet book using the reformed Serbian Cyrillic, following Vuk Karadžić's book published in Vienna in 1827. Other books include a collection of Bosnian Serb lyric folk poetry, an Ottoman Turkish grammar, and several Jewish religious books. The first printed exemplar of Bosnian Aljamiado literature was also published by the Vilayet Printing House. It produced around 50 books and booklets altogether, most of them being concerned with various Ottoman laws and legislation.

Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque (Bosnian: Gazi Husrev-begova džamija, Turkish: Gazi Hüsrev Bey Camii) is a mosque in the city of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Built in the 16th century, it is the largest historical mosque in Bosnia and Herzegovina and one of the most representative Ottoman structures in the Balkans. Having been Sarajevo's central mosque since the days of its construction, today it also serves as the main congregational mosque of the Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the Baščaršija neighborhood in the Stari Grad municipality and, being one of the main architectural monuments in the town, is regularly visited by tourists.
